Use

This is one of my first vibrators and I really like it. Simplicity is sometimes the best way to go, and this product certainly illustrates that theory. Even without the ribbed silicone sleeve, it fits comfortably in your lady bits for pleasurable stimulation and with the sleeve, whoo boy!

I have to say this is probably best used vaginally. In the name of science I tried it on my clit and it seemed like the head was a bit too blunt, but feel free to experiment. The Softee is a good beginner toy and it gives some good vibrations, if you'll pardon the pun. All in all a fun toy. And as a bonus it's waterproof!

Material / Texture

The vibrator itself is made out of plastic. There's no odor besides "new toy smell," but that goes away after a few washes. There's no visible seam to the plastic and it slides around wonderfully enough that I really didn't have to use much lube besides what nature provided.

It also happens to come with a sleeve. Made of silicone, it is ribbed around the head and down the sides about two inches. There is a certain faint odor to the sleeve, but it's not unpleasant; I just associate it with the toy and shrug it off. I had problems getting the vibrator in with the sleeve on, but after a bit of lube it was fine. It just stuck a little as a result of the rubbery texture of the material.

Design / Shape / Size

It is about 5-6 inches in length, depending on whether the sleeve is on or not. I like the design; it's simple, it's pretty, and it's functional for the intended use. Too often, I look at vibrators and wonder "Where is THAT supposed to go?"

Its casing is clear so you can see the little mechanism inside it, and I think that's pretty cool. The sleeve is the same clear pink but the material is denser, so when it's on, the vibrator looks almost solid. I think this to is pretty discreet. I mean, it's pretty obviously a sex toy, but you could definitely slip it in a pocket in an overnight bag since it's small and simple.

Probably this is best for beginners, though I don't see why anyone couldn't enjoy it. It's a basic toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Silicone Softee has a dial control at the base. No cords or remotes. It makes the toy easy to operate with one hand, which is a good thing when all you can think about is "More vibration!" My only complaint about the control, is that every so often, it will slip if I jar the drawer it's in and then it rattles around while I search for it to turn it off. It also gets a little warm at the bottom if you use it for more than about twenty minutes, but not unbearably hot.

The vibrator thing itself is located in the tip but it definitely translates smoothly down the rest of the device. It's louder than my little bullet, but still pretty discreet for a vibrator. In the shower is a different matter completely. Since sound echoes against tile, it seemed twice as noisy, though that could have just been the acoustics of my bathroom. Regarding performance in the water, it was awesome. Totally waterproof, just like advertised. I was a little worried about moisture getting in the control, but I looked it over after the shower and it seemed to be doing fine.

Care and Maintenance

Care is easy as pie. I tend to use it without the sleeve on so I just wash the vibrator with soap and hot water, making sure to dry it thoroughly just like the rest of my toys. The silicone sleeve I wipe down with a toy cleaner wipe (I think you can buy then on here somewhere.)

For storage, I use a plastic Ziploc bag and toss it in the drawer I keep most of my toys in. In my experience it keeps the parts clean, and that's a good thing since the sleeve tends to pick u bits of lint from God knows where. It's the material, I think.
    • Easy to clean
