Solid li'l budget pocket rocket packs strong vibes

This is a great budget pocket rocket for those just dipping their toes into the toy realm and who are cautious of dropping too much money on a toy that won't please. Seriously, if you like some strong vibrations, this WILL please, but poor build quality makes this toy not-the-best as a long-term investment. It doesn't play nice with body jewelry, has difficult to clean attachments, and strong tendencies for the plastic to develop cracks and to warp.

Use

I first received this pocket rocket as a gift. It works fantastically as a clitoral stimulator with strong, powerful vibrations for a quick 'n dirty session. While a little loud, this would be a great addition to the collection of a college student or someone living at the parents' since it is small and discreet. And, it delivers a swift orgasm to those of us that dig strong vibrations around the clit and vulva.

Material / Texture

The build quality? Well, what're you expecting for $8? It is a little cheap and plasticky, but is a solid way to start out a collection.

Design / Shape / Size

This pocket rocket comes with a variety of changeable heads. The ones with tiny nubs (whoa, Barenaked Ladies reference?) are definitely great for delivering and almost sucking sensation to the clit, but they definitely don't play nice with any sort of jewelry down there -- catching and twisting and ouch. Unfortunately, the battery compartment also has the tendency to come loose.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Wonderful, strong vibrations from the head of this device and simple, classic twist controls make this an easy-to-use, non-threatening toy for someone who is just starting to explore. It is, however, a little loud, has moderately-poor build quality, and a few design flaws (to be discussed later). Definitely, definitely avoid the textured heads if you have any genital piercings unless, uh, you dig the feeling of it being sucked 'n torn off. But, you know, that's cool. Differ'nt strokes, man.

Care and Maintenance

This is a simple little plastic toy that is easy to maintain and clean for solo use, but please, please make sure to remove the interchangeable heads and clean around the seal where they attach to the rest of the toy. Ugh.

Experience

This little pocket rocket was a great starter vibe for me, sending ripples of pleasure through me with its strong, epic vibrations behind nosy roommates' and parents' backs during the college years... but, it's time to move on. After a lot of use and more than a few batteries, the motor has finally gone kaput and the plastic has begun to crack.

    • Well, everyone's experiences will be different, so keep that in mind when trying different lubes out. ;)

      Personally, when it comes to flavor, I find System JO H2O Flavored to be the best (my favorite is banana). The downside is that it contains glycerin and parabens, which some people are sensitive to.

      Sliquid Swirl is glycerin- and paraben-free, but it has a bit of an "artificial" taste to it - a bit plastic-like. But it's certainly not bad overall.
