This particular toy gets a solid three stars. At first, there are some complications that must be dealt with before use can be truly enjoyed. First, the sleeve that comes with it is a definite plus -- if not a necessity. The hard plastic that the Surprise’s bullet is covered with does not do much in the pleasure department when in contact with skin. Also, a side note about using the sleeve; you will require a lot of lubrication; otherwise the sensation can be a little painful. I suggest using a thicker lubricant. Your garden variety KY liquid may or may not provide enough lube, depending on your preference. Once the lubrication issue is taken care of, it is time to lay back and enjoy, although if you need prolonged stimulation, be prepared to reapply the lube every five to ten minutes or so!

The Surprise is awesome for fun alone, or for partner play with different positions. The finger grip is an absolute work of genius for an added bonus during sex, and the flexible shaft makes those hard to reach areas very accessible. For those who enjoy a little extra clitoral stimulation during sex, my girl highly recommends this little gadget. The surprise does seem to be better suited as an external stimulator as opposed to an internal one. My girl has informed me that the spines on the sleeve are just a touch too hard, and without the sleeve it has the same problem. If you have any Cyberskin sleeves that fit the bullet, I would highly recommend giving them a try.

The Surprise provides an extremely intense vibration and only offers one gear. If you enjoy more of a pulsation than vibration, this is not the toy for you. Having said that, I have been informed by my partner that any woman who uses a bullet should really give this one a shot. Also, this product does not seem to have the same problems that most bullets do. In our vast experience, bullet motors die after the first ten or so times you use them for more than, say, ten minutes. This little guy is definitely the energizer bunny when it comes to longevity! For the money, it is an awesome toy, and well worth a try.
