Made of TPR silicone, the Spiral of Bliss is actually a thick sleeve covering a thin rod-like vibrator. This was initially exciting because it implies that the sleeve can be removed for easy cleaning. However, this does not seem to be the case – which is unfortunate because this non-removable sleeve creates a crevice/space that is very hard to clean - the sort of seam where fluids can easily get trapped. This means that the vibrator will weep water (or worse, trap water) after you have fun in the bath (because it *is* waterproof).

Washing the Spiral of Bliss is relatively simple – remove the batteries and use some soap and water to clean it well, paying close attention to the aforementioned crevice. TPR does not sterilize, of course, so use a condom when sharing with a friend – and remember, no flared base means that this is not an anal toy.

The vibrations from the Spiral of Bliss are deep and powerful. However, this comes at the cost of the motor being a bit noisy – this is not a discrete toy for behind closed doors. Vibrations come in 10 modes, varying between three intensity levels. There's just constant low medium or high, the always charming tap-tap-tap pattern (both constantly spaced and variably spaced), a wonderful “up and down the mountain”, a complex “escalating tapping”, and finally a few combos. Most women have a few types of vibration patterns that they enjoy, so the variety and number of options with this toy is great.

In use, the sleeve is a velvety smooth texture, but it is quite firm, so the contours all feel very distinct. The spiral feels very nice when the vibrator is used in a twisting motion, and, because the vibrator is relatively girthy yet not curved at all, it is very easy to tilt so it either buzzes tight up against your g-spot, or so that it doesn't (depending on your preference). The ability to fine tune your control with a vibrator is always a good thing.
Follow-up commentary
This "spiral of bliss" has proven itself to be an amazing bang-for-your-buck. Clocking in at an incredible under $25 price (when not on sale!), it offers more variety and stronger vibrations than any toy I have ever tried that costs less than $50. And I'm not exaggerating. The TPR is very firm TPR, and the package claims it to be simply "silicone", but don't be mislead! It cannot be sterilized and must be used with a condom if it is to be shared. However, the ultra firm TPR is brilliant at transmitting vibrations - this little guy is a complete powerhouse, whether you prefer to get off with clit buzzing alone, or if a vibrating penetrable suits your fancy. And the fact that it's shaped like a twister Popsicle makes it exceptionally fun to use with a partner - who wouldn't delight in twisting this toy into a quivering orifice?

Battery life wise, I'd say it runs for about an hour or so on a set of batteries, the bonus being that it remains powerful even when the batteries are dying. I have never opted to use it in the tub, because of the concerns I have about water getting trapped in the sleeve, so I cannot comment on its waterproof abilities, except to say I would personally avoid using it in an aquatic environment.

All in all, an excellent choice for the penny pinching sex toy connoisseur. It's one of my go-to "get off quick vibes", as well as one of my favorites "here honey, use this on me" toys.

It looks soft and squishy- but it's firm? Unfortunate, it looks like it could really be something great. 10 different vibration patterns are great for the price though!

It looks like a popsicle. Nice review

This looks interesting. Did you do a twisting or thrusting motion? If so, which did you prefer?
  • Contributor: Red
Yes it is very firm - so firm, in fact, that thrusting was a tad uncomfortable as the ridges of the swirl got pretty grabby and yanky. Twisting feels great however.

I didn't know the price of it while writing the review - ten vibration levels IS pretty good value for the price.

I have never used this, but would love to! i remember being with a man and he had a toy like this with swirls...I can still feel the swirling motion as he rotated it while doing an in and out motion...s-l-o-w-l-y. The feeling was wondrous and the anticipation was amazing! I want this!!!

When I received mine there was an uncomfortable and prominent seam from the injection mold. Frankly it looked more like a weapon than an instrument of pleasure. The first thing I did was get out my Dremel and smooth that seam flush. I was not mistaken about it being a weapon though, thrusting was painful no mater how much lube I used and twisting wasn't doing a thing for me.
