Teardrop 10-function - sex toy by Cal Exotics - review by Superstitious

This teardrop shaped egg vibrator is intended to provide strong, pinpoint vibrations to the clitoral area or the anal area. It can be used solo, or with a partner. It could be used to stimulate the perineum or nipples as well. This toy is probably not intended to be inserted and I don’t recommend that as it may become stuck in the anal or vaginal orifices quite easily due to its teardrop shape. The reviews were good, the shape was intriguing; It had everything going for it, so I tried it. I really wanted to like it, I really did! but I just didn’t find the clitoral vibrations to be strong enough. Sure, they were focused, but it didn’t pack the punch that I was hoping for. For this reason, I feel that this vibe might not be as satisfying for those ladies who need moderate (or more) clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm. Sad Face.

The teardrop, as I will call it from now on, is made of body safe, phthalate free, TPR material. I found it to be flexible and soft (too soft for me). The texture is smooth; There are no ridges, bumps, or raised areas. I could not see any seams. I didn’t notice much of a smell, but it did have that, ‘new plastic,’ smell which went away with a quick, pre-session wash. I did not use any lubricant, but both silicone and water based would be appropriate. The controller is made of hard plastic. I was suspicious about the teardrop’s claim to be waterproof; I could not find it written on the packaging at all. However, after I submersed both the controller and the egg I noted no water leakage into the threads of the battery compartment and the vibrations were steady.

As the title implies, the teardrop is teardrop shaped. Its size was appropriate for a clitoral stimulator and the tip of the teardrop is pointed for pinpoint stimulation. It measures 3 1/4 inches in length and is lightweight. It could be used for some minimal vaginal stimulation, but really isn't long enough to do much good...It's small enough to use during intercourse on your clitoris without difficulty. I think the design is really innovative, but as I already stated, the vibrations weren’t strong enough for me and I felt that the TPR covering over the tip of the vibrator was too thick to provide me with what I needed. I thought (hoped!), maybe it’s the batteries…but after changing them, I was still disappointed. Double sad face.

This is where the teardrop excels. It has a dedicated on/off button and the controls are easy to figure out; there's only one button which switches the cycle. It would be nice if it also had a button to switch the cycle backwards since cycling through 10 patterns in the heat of a delightful romp can be frustrating to say the least...However, It has a huge variety of different vibratory patterns that can provide strong, intense, constant vibration or slower, building vibrations. The teardrop has 3 levels of power and lights that indicate what power is on. During modes that feature multiple power levels the lights blink and switch; it’s pretty neat and effective in letting you know what pattern/power you are on. It has 10 different patterns:

This toy is also extremely quiet, could not be heard from across the bedroom while being covered by a blanket, another pro is that it is waterproof, the vibrations don't really change much while in the water; they still were not strong enough for me. The teardrop uses 2 AA batteries.

This toy is pretty east to take care of, just wash with soapy water before and after every use and let the teardrop dry before you store to avoid any bacteria/nasties growing on your vibrating buddy. Per usual, use a condom if you plan to share with a partner. I just store in a medium plastic bag as it attracts lint big time.

The packaging was not very inspirational, just a blond, sex kitten and some descriptions of the teardrop's features. The instructions were super generic and are clearly meant to be sent out with multiple types of vibrators/toys that cal exotics sells. For example, it tells you how to wash the toy if it's waterproof but also includes a non-waterproof toy section. Can it be used as a storage box? Absolutely not, it would look ridiculous.

A great toy in general, awesome array of different vibration patterns, but just wasn't strong enough for me. Some of you may be appalled, but I was curious if the bullet inside was stronger without the teardrop TPR coating on it so I peeled it off to test it. (Hey, I can’t have an orgasm with it as is, I might as well be thorough in my reviews; In the name of science!!) I still wasn’t impressed, and it was still lacking in strength for me. Clearly, I am a freak of nature...lol.
