Teenie Meany

Don't let the name fool ya! The name contradicts everything about this toy, because it's totally non-threatening, but it still makes a fun little stimulator to having lying around and it's easy to appreciate the quality German-engineered construction and fairly decent vibrations this toy provides.

Pros
Silicone, nice range and variety of vibrations, easy controls, water-resistant
Cons
Small, low-setting is a joke, expensive for what you get.

extremely useful review
Meany by Fun Factory is such a little tease. Now that's mean! One could insert the toy either vaginally or anally, but it's not exactly suitable for deep-penetration and will be more useful on other erogenous surfaces such as the clitoris, nipples, scrotum, and penis. It's good for beginners, but anyone else may want to consider upgrading to something a bit lengthier. Size queens won't be satisfied, trust me.

MATERIAL AND TEXTURE
The primary lure of this toy is that the shaft is constructed of high-quality, non-porous, hypoallergenic, phthalates-free, food-grade silicone. It has matte finish with a fair amount of drag to it, and is somewhat flexible at the tip and compresses to the touch. The small handle is made of plastic.

Texture-wise, there are several pronounced ridges on the topside, with the opposite side being smooth. They are smooth, large, and nicely rounded with no sharp edges.

No smell nor taste were noted upon removal from its packaging.

DESIGN
Meany is part of Fun Factory's "miniVIBES" line, designed for portability and discretion. It measures a mere 5-1/2" total length, with 4-1/2" available for insertion, a circumference of 3-1/2", and a diameter of 1-1/8". Maintaining a firm grasp on the handle is crucial to avoid having your vagina or anus swallow this little bugger, which is why I don't think it's the best toy for insertion unless you don't want something large to begin with or you have a shallow canal. Because of the ridges and the drag, it does feel deceptively filling girth-wise.

There are 3 very pronounced, graduated ridges decreasing in size from the base of the shaft to the tip. They are very noticeable if you are using this toy internally! The tip of the shaft is a slightly bent, well-rounded, smooth knob.

The pressure-activated control panel built right in to the silicone at the base of the shaft is an indication of the superior quality of the toy. The controls are denoted by slightly raised "plus" and "minus" symbols. The motor is located in the main body of the shaft.

Two AAA-batteries are inserted in the bottom plastic portion which twists off, revealing a waterproof gasket. Placing the cap back on properly is IMPERATIVE if you are going to get this wet; however, after performing a test under running water and submerged, some droplets did penetrate within the small seam of the cap, but NONE entered the battery compartment as far as I could tell. Cleaning the toy will be fine under running water or if you want to use it in the shower, but use at your own discretion in the tub or pool.

FUNCTIONS
Starting Meany is as easy as pressing the "plus " button. The lowest setting is negligible and produced a very faint, soft rumble. Continuing to press the button cycles through 7 additional, increasing levels of constant vibration, with the strongest being pretty good, but not earth shaking. Once you reach the highest vibration, you must hold down the "plus " button to access the 3 pulsating patterns, which range from a slow pulse to a fast one. Pressing down on the "minus" button cycles backwards and subsequently turns the unit off.

I found it to be very quiet, especially under the covers. My partner stood outside our bedroom door while I turned it on as I lay on top of the covers, and he said he couldn't hear it.

PACKAGING, CARE, AND MAINTENANCE
Meany is packaged in a simple plastic blister case, within a paper presentation box. A sample of Fun Factory's water-based"Toyfluid" lubricant is included and is a nice reminder to ONLY used water-based lubricants with this toy. There is a direction and care pamphlet and another colorful brochure previewing the full line of other Fun Factory toys and accessories.

The manufacturer recommends that the best way to clean this toy is under lukewarm water with a mild soap and let it air dry. Additionally, you could use an antibacterial toy spray for touch-up cleanings.

The material does attract lint, so you may want to hold on to the clear, molded blister package or use a plastic bag or lint-free, satin-lined bag to store the toy in.

HOW MEAN IS MEANY?
Had it been longer, I would have gladly given it 4 stars, but I'm only giving it 3 because it only worked as an exterior stimulator for me, and it took longer than usual for me to achieve orgasm. Additionally, I think there are other, less-expensive vibes out there that work much better; however, if you are intent on purchasing a Fun-Factory toy, I'd skip over the "miniVIBES" and just blow your dough on one of their pricier and LARGER models.
Experience
I honestly gave Meany a fair shot, as best as I could considering its diminutive size. I like them big, and other than enjoying the sensation provided by the large, bumpy ridges, it just didn't impress me as a dildo. However it felt great against my clitoris, but it's a vibrator, not a bullet, so I felt that it was a bit of a waste of money to me.
Follow-up commentary
I'm not really one for using my vibes externally, and because of the diminutive size of this toy, it's not really ideal for internal play. It's cute and all, but it's just not for me, so it sits alone in the drawer, probably hating me for ignoring it.
