The Bending Bunny

A rather affordable alternative to a rabbit style toy if you are bored with the typical rotating beads and shaft. If you are after a vibrating shaft or a truly waterproof toy you might want to look elsewhere. For $30 I found it a worthwhile investment. If I had paid $50 or more it would have been sent back!

Use

The Nestlin' Bunny is a very affordable alternative to typical rabbit style vibes. The vibrations in the rabbit head and ears act as an intense clitoral stimulator. The flexible shaft has 3 graduated balls (the largest being at the base and the smallest at the tip) making it nice for rocking your g-spot. If you intend to purchase this product because you are hoping for intense shaft vibrations, you should look at another toy completely, but if you are looking for a thrusting dildo or rocking style g-spot vibe with a heavy duty, high intensity, clit stimulator attached this might be the one for you.

This toy works well solo or for partner play, but neither I nor my husband found it particularly pleasing inserted during PIV sex.

Material / Texture

The toys TPR material and design of the shaft makes me want to bend it and squeeze it over and over again. It feels squishy in my hands; I found myself having to put it away in order to stop playing with it. I took it immediately out of the box and smelled it -- it had no smell or taste at all.

The graduated balls on the shaft add nice stimulation during thrusting and rocking, as does the flexibility in the shaft. It will bend nearly 90 degrees forward, toward the rabbit head and side to side, but only about 45 degrees backwards or opposite from the head. The shaft is not rigid, so it will bend and flex with your body.

The texture of this toy is smooth and would be fine for beginners or advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

I do like the graduated ball design of the Nestlin' Bunny, it's certainly a design that I find pleasing. I was a bit disappointed in the lack of vibrations in the shaft; however, I enjoy using the toy as more of a rocking style g-spot stimulator. I appreciated the 5 1/2 inch insert-able length this toy provided since my g-spot is placed a bit further back than the norm. The ears are soft but pliable. Once the vibrations were turned on, I found just watching the ears vibrate, bounce and wriggle hypnotic, if not tantalizing. They get going faster than the eye can see!

There is a slight seam down the under and upper-side of the shaft it is not noticeable upon insertion. The spring-like metal rod in the shaft creaks a bit when it is being bent to and fro, but not enough to be a distraction during use.

This toy is not discreet in the slightest. It looks like a vibrator and nearly everyone would recognize it as such. Being 9 1/2 inches in total length, this toy is not easy to hide at all. If you packed it in your suitcase to bring with you on vacation, TSA might get a kick out of trying to embarrass you while they search your bag.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Nestlin' Bunny's shaft does leave a lot to be desired, but what it lacks in vibration it makes up for in flexibility and bend-ability. All this toys vibrations come from the bullet located in the clit stimulator. If you need a ton of power in that area to get you going, I would recommend this toy based on that alone.

California Exotics claims this product to be waterproof, there is even a picture of a wave with the words waterproof on the box. My definition of waterproof is NO water entering the battery casing whatsoever when fully submerged. That in mind, against my better judgment, and for research sake, I fully submerged this toy for one minute, all the while twisting the dial back and forth. Upon opening the battery compartment I noticed a significant amount of water inside. I would not recommend that this toy be used in the bathtub, maybe it would be OK in the shower, but I would be leery.

My only problem I have with this toy besides not truly being waterproof, even though the manufacturer claims it is, is that while it has varying intensity vibrations on the dial, I am hard pressed to find what I would consider a low or mid setting. It may be that my toy is defunct though. I can twist the dial quite far before the toy turns on at all, and at the point it does turn on, it is already emitting strong vibrations.

This is one of my louder toys. When turned all the way up to the highest setting, my husband could hear it from just outside our closed bedroom door (he said it sounded like an electric razor). He could not easily hear it in the next room though. I didn't find it loud enough to distract me from enjoying myself while playing with this toy.

Care and Maintenance

I clean this toy after each use with mild soap and warm water. Unfortunately, TPR toys tend to pick up lint and small particles, this toy is no exception. I would suggest storing it in a zip-lock or antistatic bag away from other toys. Also, keep your TPR toys safely away from other toys of the like. They have a tendency to meld into one another, warping or melting the materials altogether.

This toy is not a candidate for sterilization, since it can not be boiled. So, if you choose to share this toy with someone else or to use it anally as well as vaginally, I would recommend using condoms.

Personally, I prefer a water-based lube with this type of material, but if you are willing to risk your investment and send your Nestlin' Bunny submarine-ing, a thicker, water-based lube like Maximus might be your better bet.

Packaging

I did not purchase this product from Eden (I won't make that mistake again) and frankly when I saw the mailer that it was sent to me in I was amazed that the toy worked once I put batteries in it. The box the Bunny came in was flimsy at best and trying to use it for anything other than recycling would probably not be a wise choice. The box contained only the toy sealed in a plastic bag. There were no instructions whatsoever inside the box. The outside of the box shows a picture of the toy on 3 of the 4 sides and there is a statement that says, "Wash before and after each use, remove batteries when not in use, and always use water based lube with this product." Other than that, you are on your own trying to figure out proper placement of the two AA batteries.

According to the box, you can also register the toy at www.vibetronics.com which I did not choose to do.

Personal comments

I really like how this toys flexible design facilitates me being able to reach my g-spot with little effort. I can get the perfect rocking motion going and still have clitoral stimulation. You have to like heavy and high intensity vibrations near your clit to hang with this toy though; I normally do with most of my other toys, but after a few minutes with this one I am even wishing for a lower setting.

After playing with this toy I started really looking at the construction and noticed the metal rod in the shaft stops just shy of the smallest ball near the tip of the shaft. Upon bending the ball to the side of the rod, I noticed there wasn't much TPR material there to prevent the rod from breaking through. This realization stopped my thoughts, of possibly using this toy anally, in their tracks and quite honestly, I will be very careful to not get too crazy with the thrusting it in the future.

Experience

If I could change a few things about the Nestlin' Bunny I would make it COMPLETELY waterproof, add low to mid range vibrational settings, and in a perfect world, I would add a pulsating control button, extend the clit stimulator out to add about a half an inch length to it. I don't understand why clit stimulators always seem to be so short and so close to the shaft on toys. I have never seen a clit that close to a vaginal opening before. *shakes head*
Follow-up commentary
I wish there was an option to say I am starting to like it less. I still like this toy, but I have noticed the more I use it, the more the metal rod/spring down the shaft squeaks. Let me tell you, it can get down right LOUD, to the point of being a major distraction for me. I wish there was a way to spray WD-40 on the spring. It is not as loud, as say the Hitachi Wand, but since it is not a consistent sound it irritates me greatly.

The vibrations have not changed and I am still on the first set of batteries from October.

I was leery of the rod poking through the top ball of the shaft with too much thrusting, but I am happy to tell you it remains fully in tact.

Overall, still a good toy, just really loud.
