Use

The little vibe that could, this middle-intensity vibrator is great for clitoral and nipple stimulation. However, shape and form make it somewhat useless to insert, so outer vibrations is all one will receive. This, however, is not necessarily a bad thing; it's one of the cheapest and safest materials for vibrators out there, and it's waterproof! The Posh is sure to bring some interesting foreplay for showering couples.

Material / Texture

The Posh is cheap, but the materials are still safe at a safety score of 7. It has the feel of silicone and a lot of silicone toy requirements (like water lubricant only) but is also just as easy to clean with toy cleaner or just soap and water. It has a velvety texture that can attract pet hair (beware of placing it near or about where your pets like to hang out like a living-room chair. Two words: BAD DECISION) but feels great massaging along intimate or casual parts.

On one of the sides of the motorized end, there's an raised oval with a dot in the middle for texture stimulation, and while it's not a whole lot of texture, it's enough to feel a modicum of difference. For anyone who's particularly or spectacularly sensitive (which is a group I cast myself into), it's enough of a difference to feel quite good. For anyone who's not as sensitive, the Posh does not offer a whole lot more to tantalize.

The overall toy is rigid and perfectly solid - minus the rubbery tip that moves around with light force, so it's easy to use as a wand-like toy (rolling along the back as a massager, getting it to specific areas with some force without it bending on contact).. However, don't expect it to hit more that where the toy can be moved to by hand.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Posh is simple and smooth and just about as long as the width of my hand. Its non-threatening appearance makes it a great clitoral toy for beginners and even usable once the owner finds more advanced toys for massaging and titillating in foreplay until the bigger toys are busted out. There are only two vibrating modes in a cycling fashion: aka, click once to turn on, click again to the next level, click again to turn off, and click again to turn back on. There's not that much more to the little guy, but that uncomplicated air is nice and refreshing for anyone who wants to try something new but doesn't want to get in over his or her head.

The only real problem with this guy is how much the WHOLE toy shakes when he gets going. My boyfriend was playing with me using the Posh and complained greatly that his hand was going numb holding the toy from the vibrations. I personally get a bit annoyed by how much it shakes all over. The vibrations are not contained to the end of the toy alone which can make it really bothersome to use for long periods of time.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Posh performs well for a pretty long time considering the Posh runs on only one AA battery. It's a vibrator controlled by a single press button on the bottom of the toy (where the big power icon is).

There are only two speeds, but the highest speed is enough to get the job done for me in clitoral play alone. Again, the vibrations are not focused at the end, so it will shake quite a bit in your hand, but it's not that annoying - just tedious over longer periods of time. Its vibrations feel very soothing with both a little bit of lube, no lube, or some running water from the faucet. The designers tell the truth when they say waterproof, so do as you please in the shower - just make sure that the cap is screwed on rather tightly.

Posh is quiet enough to not be heard over even the quietest shower or thinnest bedroom walls. If you feel paranoid, play some music, but overall, I was never distracted by the noise it made which made it very easy to slip off into my zone and have some fun.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is phenomially easy to clean and maintain. Simply get out your toy disinfectant and wipe the toy down. Be sure first, before submerging it in water, that the battery compartment is closed and the bottom screwed on tight; it's bad if any water gets into there!

The thing that will drive you crazy is how often you'll have to clean. Since it picks up hair the way it does, no place is sacred or safe enough. Even if you clean after use, it's best to clean before every use as well. It can also pick up the fallen out fibers from fancier toy bags, so I suggest storing it in a plastic bag in the bathroom with the extra soap. It'll be cold and your Posh's battery compartment will avoid moisture.

As with all battery-operated toys, take the batteries out when the toy is not in use so not to drain the batteries. If you wanted to travel with the lil' guy, it's best to get in the habit of storing your batteries separately from the toy so to preserve the life of the batteries (well, Posh only uses 1 battery, but you get my point) but also because it's very easy to push that big old button at the bottom and turn it on my accident. It'd be mighty embarrassing to have your bag pulled for a vibrating little Posh. (Anyways, you couldn't even say that your bag getting pulled would be just like in Fight Club because the one out of ten times a bag gets pulled is for a dildo. And, well, it just wouldn't be the same!!)

Packaging

The packaging is nothing to speak of. There are no directions on how to use it, so use your imagination.

I just have one question: Why put sexy/naked women on the boxes? If they're marketing to women, what's the point? I find the imagery very silly, but that's just me.

Personal comments

The jump between vibration one and vibration two is pretty extreme for me. Vibration one would be enough to get me off if I was being particularly sensitive, but if I wanted a little bit more, the second vibration would be too much.
Follow-up commentary
I still recommend this toy for anyone starting out with toys. It's cheap, safe, and easy to clean; however, I don't use it much anymore. It sits in a forsaken part of the toybox these days, and it's a sad place to be really. It's just too simple, and it can't really go anywhere besides clit play. I've moved on, bought better toys, and now I'm much happier with what I have then what I started out with.

It's still a great little toy to give as a present to someone, but here's the hard part: since it can't be sterilized, I can't give MINE away to anyone! Ergo, this is just too basic, maybe. Consider deeply before purchasing, and consider investing in something a little bit more, so the toy has more of a run. Thank you.

Awesome review! That sucks about the two vibrating patterns. A third one would be nice.

great review..thanks for sharing...the lint collector is a deal breaker for me since our cat thinks the bed is hers and she invites all her dust bunnies to visit her frequently! It does sound pretty weak and jus tnot really worth it fo rme..but like you said, it may be great for someone starting out or someon ewho likes weak vibrations.
