The fickle oral attentions of Sasi...
All in all, the Sasi--eventually--made my clit happy. Very very happy. It's an expensive toy, and not good for a quick thrill-ride. If you need serious vibrations to get off, Sasi isn't going to do it for you...but if you have time to master the controls and give in to Sasi's slow torture, you'll love the ride.Published: April 22, 2010
Pros:
Silicone fascia is easy to keep clean and sterile, product is gorgeous looking, makes clits happy!
Cons:
Hefty price tag, if you need vibe action, it might not get you over the hump.
After getting the LoveCard gift card from Miche, I was psyched to get home and get to spendin'. I knew exactly what I wanted to buy--what I had wanted to buy ever since magazines and websites started buzzing with word of the Sasi by Je Joue, but its hefty pricetag had put me off...until now! The Sasi was touted as a revolutionary sex toy, the new wave of artificial intelligence in our bedrooms, and I was dying to jump on the bandwagon. This was no ordinary vibe, after all...the Sasi...get ready for it...is designed to stimulate cunnilingus on its lucky user. That's right, ladies--oral lovin' in a toy. I am the kind of woman that will walk through fire, leap a building in a single bound, and have dinner with your slimy father-in-law if the promise of oral sex is at the end of the tunnel, so I was beyond excited when my Sasi finally arrived!
The Sasi is a sleek, stylish, couture-looking toy. This is no cheap novelty vibe, you can tell that right out of the box. It comes in gorgeous gift wrapping, with a fun little display box that Sasi can rest inside of, or be proudly displayed on top of, on her little rubber display crown. And it's such a pretty toy, so pleasing to the eye, you might want to display it. In addition to the instruction manual (you'll need it!) and charger, Sasi comes with a handy pack of electrical outlet attachments (all the better for taking the fun on the road!) I chose my Sasi in a sophisticated plum color, but she also comes in cool black, and a fun, girlish pink.
Two of Sasi's best features are part of what makes the high price worth it--it's completely rechargeable (no worrying about dead batteries, ever!) and the toy is covered in a removable silicone sleeve. I've waxed poetic on the joys of silicone before, so I'll spare you, but this means Sasi is easy to clean, keep sterile, and therefore is sharable. Just remember to use a water-based lube to prevent damage to the silicone! This toy was definitely designed with a woman's body in mind--it's completely ergonomically designed, and fits the contours of the body beautifully.
From the top, Sasi looks like a sleek little robot. The bottom is where the magic happens. Sasi has a small, round nub that is designed to act like a tongue, and it swirls and twirls and rubs around your clit, mimicking oral sex. The "tongue" is able to move in a wonderful variety of ways--back and forth, side to side, and--my personal favorite--in circles around your clit, as fast or slow as you'd like. What sets this sensation apart from a vibe is that rather than direct vibrations, Sasi gives a delicious pressure all around and on the clit, giving a slow, toe curling build-up.
What really sets the Sasi apart from other run-of-the-mill toys, is the A.I. factor. Sasi can, like the very best lover, learn what you like, giving a completely customizable experience. There are two settings on the Sasi--a pre-programmed mode, featuring 5 popular moves that get cycled through, and a Customizable mode. There is also a 5 button console that allows you to speed up, slow down, move to the next move, go back to the previous move, and don't stop. Ladies, THIS is the money shot. When you find the move that makes you squeal, you can let Sasi know not to stop, and enjoy the "tongue" movement until you're shaking and ready for more! In the pre-programmed mode there are only 5 preset motions you can cycle through. These are sort of a "one size fits all" experience, and while enjoyable, probably won't send you to the moon. In addition to realistically tonguing your clit, Sasi also has several patterns of vibrations that can be added to increase your pleasure. For me, the vibe action actually took away from the "tongue" sensation, but I can see how this would greatly up the enjoyment factor for others!
The customizable mode is where you train Sasi to do what you want--and the more you use her, the better lover Sasi will become. Every time you hit "don't stop" on a move in customizable mode, Sasi remembers and will incorporate that move more into your next session. The more you "train" Sasi on what you like, the better the next experience will be.

Experience
So does it get the job done? Like I said, I'm an oral girl all the way--I'm far more concerned with the talent of a man's tongue than I am about the size of his package. The first time I used my Sasi, I was expecting to be swept away in orgasmic frenzy...and I was sorely disappointed. I got no real sensation from the "tongue" nub, I didn't care for the pre-set patterns, and I was worried I had wasted 150 bucks on a sex toy I was never going to use again. I put Sasi away and pulled out my trusty vibe.
It took me a few days of glaring at the little purple queen, but I finally decided to give Sasi another try. I used a generous amount of water-based lube on my clit, and it definitely helped. Sasi was able to glide around smoothly, and it greatly enhanced the feeling of the "tongue." I also adjusted my position a bit--for me, Sasi works best when I'm on my back with my knees bent and feet flat on the bed. Lying down flat just didn't work for me. I started working through the motions, occasionally finding ones that felt incredible, and finding some that did nothing for me...once I found a few movements in sequence that I particularly enjoyed, I would go back and forth between them. Sasi was best for me in the movements that let the "tongue" slide in circles around my clit, then rubbing back and forth on one side or another. I would alternate between these movements, letting it rub my clit, then circle it deliciously before rubbing it some more...mmmmm. Pure bliss. Sasi created a nice sloooowwww build up. The first few times I used Sasi, once I knew what I was doing, I enjoyed it immensely; Sasi was able to work me up until I was dripping...but couldn't make me cum. I realized pretty quickly that in addition to a lot of circling and rubbing on my clit, I also enjoy a lot of sucking. And that is the one thing Sasi cannot do. I would get myself nice juicy and worked up with the Sasi, and then finish off with a vibe. I've since been able to come with Sasi several times, but it's not always consistent. HOWEVER, I still think this is an amazing toy, and well worth the money.

did anyone else's sasi heat up
-
my sasi is overheating with use. it seems normal since it's a toy that's doing a lot of work... but is it normal?

The booklet says not to use it under blankets. I usually stop using mine after 15 to 20 minutes or so because I don't want to damage the motor.

I just learned (and wanted to share in case anybody in the future reads this thread) from ToyGeek's review that SaSi will actually shut itself off if it gets too hot.
I don't know if it shuts itself off at a certain temperature as an 'autoprotect' feature, or if it just passes the temp at which it doesn't work anymore, but I suspect the former. So maybe I don't have to worry so much about protecting the motor, because it will do it on its own.

To me, it doesn't simulate oral sex at all. If you want that, you're better off with the Sqweel.
SaSi is an ok toy but way over-priced and if you require a reasonable amount of clit stimulation, this may not be the best.

The SaSi

Who else really wants this toy? It sounds amazing does it not? Also oddly enough it is showing up as a 4 on the material safety scale, it should be a 10. Anyways, what do you think? Anyone already own this? The design sounds fantastic to me. This is going in my wish list asap!

I had not even looked at that toy before. I'll admit, it looks pretty amazing and very unique. You bring up an interesting point about the material safety scale rating it so low. Must be a mistake.

I have it. It's ... interesting. The jury's still out on whether or not it's worth the hefty price tag.

Thank you for viewing SaSi – sex toy review page!

I like your style of writing in the body of your review . It kept me reading which is awesome.
Can you explain how long it takes to charge, and how long it holds a charge?
What about cleaning and waterproof issues?
I look forward to seeing more from you!
Welcome to eden
I agree completely with ~LaUr3n~. Your writing style is marvelous. Thank you for the review and welcome to the community!
It's great to see new reviewers coming to EF who have a distinct and enjoyable style of writing and can actually put together a sentence! So, on that front I really enjoyed your review and hope to see a lot more from you in the future. Yet, as Lauren mentioned, to fit in with the EF style of reviewing you do need a little more on materials/care/the boring stuff essentially, to make sure it's 100% thorough for the customer. Once you've got that down, I'm sure you'll be an outstanding member of the community.
Very well-written review! Some great suggestions in the previous comments. Welcome to the community! It's good to have you with us
I disagree with the other commenters. Most of that information is available in the product overview and the other 12 reviews. It's nice to include but not necessary to make this a very useful review for the consumer, especially with an item that is already difficult to review succinctly. We don't want to put the consumer to sleep!
It is good to know that you can train it to know what you like.... now if only partners were so easily trained...lol! I enjoyed your review and I would definitely love to try this item.
Wow this toy just sounds so... delicious! I can't think of a better word. You made me want one, that's for sure. Thank you for the great review!
This baby is SO on my wish list! Great review!
~LaUr3n~ ...Sasi took about an hour to charge fully. The charge seems to hold well; I've only had to re-charge twice since owning it, and that's with a considerable amount of learning to use it! The silicone fascia makes cleaning a breeze--just wipe her down with a damp towel after use. This toy is NOT intended for waterplay, unfortunately. To do so would drown the little robot that lives inside (or something technical like that!)
I really appreciate the feedback from everyone--especially Carrie Ann! I've previously only written for a blog where there was no product information displayed with the review--it's good to be reminded that I don't need to spell out every consumer detail anymore! Looking forward to being a part of this great community!
I wish this had a bit more power - otherwise it's so tempting
Nice first review, and welcome to the community!
AWESOME review. I do not say this lightly. I read the whole thing, and didn't even care that all the details weren't there. I read so many reviews that I find myself skimming through all the specs just to get to the part where they talk about how it felt. I guess if this was the ONLY review of this toy, I would say that you need to put in all those details, but you gave me what I really wanted to know, and that was how does this feel?
thanks for the review!
