Diamond massager - discreet vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by arewehavingfun?

The first thing you will notice about the "Diamond massager" by California Exotics is its beauty. It is a shiny black plastic with evenly spaced "diamonds" (clear, faceted shiny plastic). There is no smell or taste to the plastic case. It is packaged in a clear blister pack with a card describing the massager's features. A picture of a lusty female is on the front of the card.

The Diamond massager is 4.25" long with the circumference a nice 3.75" and a diameter of 1". The insertable length is stated to be 2.5" long, however, I found it to be closer to a 2" insertable length. I am not familiar with my G-spot, but I think the short insertion of this device would not be conducive to G-spot stimulation. You be the judge!

This item is called a massager but to me it seems to clearly be used only as a masturbation device. I used the Diamond massager on my nipples, neck muscles and calves by myself and with my husband. It did not feel very good and I think the reason is because the hand vibrations were too strong. It caused both of us to stop and not want to continue past 30 seconds.

This is a strong and comfortable clitoral vibrator (key word: strong). The case has a wavy pattern that narrows in 2 spots, making it fit better in both small and large hands. To control the vibrations, there is a small push button on the bottom of the vibe. Press it once to turn it on and the vibrations are steady and strong. Press the button a second time and the vibe will come in waves of smooth, strong vibrations, quick and evenly spaced. Press the button a third time and the waves come and go in a variable pattern. The button is one of the easiest vibrator controls I have used to date; it is simple to control without interrupting your pleasure. 2 AAA batteries (not included) energize the vibrator. I am surprised at how much power the AAA batteries can supply.

The tip of the vibrator is nice and small so it concentrates the vibrations exactly where you want them. It is softly rounded so that it does not feel sharp as can happen with vibrators with a small tip on the end. As recommended by the manufacturer, washing is a simple wipe with some warm, soapy water. California Exotics claims that this vibrator is waterproof, however, I did not use it in the bath or shower. Instead, to test this claim, I filled a shallow basin with some warm water and placed the vibrator in the bath for several minutes. When I took the vibrator out and twisted the pieces apart, I was surprised that water had leaked into the battery compartment. Had I been using the vibrator in the bath, I may have been injured. After cleaning, please remove the batteries, wipe it out and air dry completely to prevent rust and battery corrosion.

I enjoy strong, variable vibrations so I liked this vibrator. You can lighten up the stimulation by not pressing it so hard against your clitoris. But why would you want to do that when there are so many less stimulating vibrators on the market at low prices? Also, this vibe is VERY NOISY where lighter vibrators (in my experience) are quieter. The vibrations are felt equally on all surface areas of the Diamond massager, something I really don't like. I prefer a vibrator that allows me to hold it comfortably without feeling annoying vibrations on my hand.

The Diamond massager is best used solo as a masturbation device. The noise interfered when my husband and I tried to use it during sex. Also, he really did not like the continuous vibrations on his hands. Along with clitoral stimulation, he tried to lightly tease my nipples. That felt really nice but, again, the vibrations in his hand and the noise caused us to stop using this toy during sex.

Well, this didn't last long. It won't turn on anymore, and I did not use it more than 10 times. To turn it on, you sort of twist the top and bottom and then press a button. For some reason, I think it is not making a connection because even with new batteries and trying several times on several occasions, it won't start. Even for $18.99 I expect a longer life span.
