Club Vibe 2.OH - strap-on vibrator by OhMiBod - review by allehcat

The new Club Vibe 2.0H from OhMiBod shows just how advanced technology is getting these days. This little vibrator has a built in mic so that you can orgasm along with the music. It also can be controlled by the new OhMiBod iPhone app, or simply by using the wireless controller. It's definitely a big step for discreet vibrators, and a step that I can get behind!

The basic premise of this toy is to be able to have the freedom to use it in a public place discreetly and to have it vibrate however you want it to. Whether you're getting some "good vibrations" at a concert or at home in bed, you have the freedom of choice. The mic that is built into the remote will transmit the sounds of anything you're listening to into sexy vibrations for your pleasure. You can get off to music, your lover's voice, or one of the 5 pre-programmed modes that it has. If you have an iPhone, you can even create your own speeds, patterns and "playlists" of vibration to get off to, and save them to use next time. The Club Vibe 2.0 is definitely all about free expression.

The vibe and remote are made of plastic, but they have a smooth matte finish that is soft to the touch. Since it is an external vibe, the shell is firm. The vibrator doesn't have any uncomfortable seams, so it is comfortable to use when slipped into the pocket of the thong or on it's own. Since it is made of plastic, it is non-porous, hypoallergenic, phthalate free and sanitary to share after cleaning. It also has no scent (and obviously no taste!)

Since the vibrator and remote are only about 3" long, they are the perfect size for discreet fun. While some may think that the remote is too conspicuous, I disagree. If you're worried about people seeing the remote in public, you can just choose your setting and then slip it into a pocket or purse, or even the sleeve of your sweater. Personally, I use mine at home instead of in public, so I don't have to worry.

There are 3 ways to enjoy the Club Vibe 2.OH.

1. With the pre-programmed vibration settings. Simply press the "function" button on the remote (1 of 3 buttons) and continue pressing until you find the setting you like. The first three escalate in vibration intensity, building from low to high, while the last 2 pulse at different intensities.

2. With the Club setting. For this function, you press the "mic" button (2nd button) and choose the sensitivity of the mic. The LED lights on the controller indicate the 5 settings on sensitivity. In a club, you really don't need the sensitivity that high. At home, or when you're out and hiding the mic in your purse, it works better when turned up.

3. With the OhMiBod iPhone app. Since I have an Android powered phone, I cannot use this feature, but the OhMiBod site says:

The app seems really cool, and I can't wait for an Android friendly version that I can try.
*Note: you cannot use the phone in place of the controller if you want to use the Club setting.*

The remote is powered by an included lithium ion battery, and the vibrator itself is rechargeable via an included mini USB cord. Since the vibrator and remote are plastic, they can easily be cleaned with toy cleaner, mild soap and water, or toy wipes. The thong is made of unknown material (manual did not specify, does not have tag) but is delicate lace, so hand wash/air dry seems like the most logical care. Personally, I have washed it on "cold" in a lingerie bag with like colors and had no problems. I air dried it afterwards, and it's still in perfect condition.

The Club 2.OH comes in an attractive cardboard box that is classy enough to be gifted and small enough to fit in a purse or drawer if you would like to keep it for storage. While I don't keep mine in the box for storage, I did save it because it's very nice looking. When it shipped, the panties were in a drawstring bag that is meant for storing the vibe and remote. It can also fit the USB cord at the same time, which makes the toy even more travel friendly.

Personally, I am very pleased with this vibrator. It's got some very cool technology, and it works perfectly for me. One thing that I really love is that the included thong actually IS one size fits most, which is pretty rare. I wear a size 16-18, and it fits me comfortably without digging. I was very pleasantly surprised by that, since OSFM lingerie rarely fits me.

I love to turn on my laptop, put the controller next to it with the Club mode on, and just relax. Since the toy allows so much freedom, it really does make me feel very sexy and feminine. Of course, the cute thong doesn't hurt either.

I expected the toy to have less intense vibrations, so that was also a pleasant surprise. While I do have more powerful toys, this one still does it's job (and my body is pretty picky) so I was very happy. I've seen other reviewers that complain about the noise level, which is kind of high for a discreet toy, but it doesn't bother me. The only public setting in which I would use it is at a very loud concert or similar event. At home, the noise level doesn't matter much to me. It's not like I'm going to use it to recreate the scene from "The Ugly Truth" where Katherine Heigl's vibrating panties are accidentally turned all the way up during a business dinner. If you're buying this and using it for what it is intended for, you should have no problems with the noise level.
