Extreme Pure Gold by California Exotics is a bullet vibe that can be used both solo and with a partner. With 10 functions and easy to use buttons, this bullet is waterproof and fun. If you love patterns and different options in your vibration level look no further: Extreme Pure Gold has what you are looking for.

This bullet is surprisingly made of plastic: given its shiny appearance you would never know this wasn’t crafted out of something much sturdier. It looks clean, durable, and straight to the point. Completely smooth, the small bullet does have a seam running half way through it; although you can feel it slightly it isn’t a bother at all.

Since it is plastic, it is both hypo-allergenic and latex/phthalates free. Most lubricants will work for this toy, but be aware plastic tends to get really slippery.

Like most bullets, the design of Extreme Pure Gold is simple. With a 2” bullet that is 1” round, it is an average size but makes up for it in variety. The plastic is a pale gold, almost silver in color: it’s not too vibrant and gives off a natural color.

The cord hits 20” which is fairly short ,so this might be a close hand toy. The cord looks strong like it won’t rip out or tear at all.

The controller fits perfectly in your hands; comfortable and not too small or large. It hits a little less than 3 1/2” in length and about 1/2" wide. The on and off switch and control button hit exactly where my thumb lies on it naturally, which is a huge plus. The back contours to your fingers, having 3 curved indents for comfort. California Exotics' logo lies on the lower back above where you unscrew it for batteries. On the battery cap, you will see that it is waterproof---once unscrewed you’ll notice the plastic o-ring seal to keep the water out. It takes 2 AAA batteries and has a diagram to show you which way the fit in. You don’t have to worry about pesky opening and closing as it fits on any way; with just a tight turn you are on your way.

The functions are a big plus to this toy - if you like patterns and variety, this is it. With 10 different functions there is a ton of variety: you just have to shift through them to find the one you want. The two buttons are laid out as On/Off at the bottom and a “10” button for the functions above it. There is an LED light right above the 2 to let you know it is on and ready to go. The functions are as follows:

1. Low
2. Medium
3. High
4. Pulse
5. Quick Pulse
6. Very Quick Pulse
7. Escalating w/ Pulse
8. Quick Pulse followed by steady
9. High escalation with slow flutter
10. Low to High pulse escalation

It is quieter than a lot of other bullets, but not quiet enough that someone won’t hear if you are in the same room.

Plastic is one of the easiest materials to clean. Since it is waterproof it is made even easier. Your weapons of choice being water and soap, cleaner, or wipes. Mind the seam, but it shouldn't be a hassle.

There are a lot of different functions to this bullet, which is perfect for a lot of people---I'm just not that into pulsation. I thought the vibrations were moderate, and the cord was way too short for me personally, but I do think this is a good bullet. I like that it's not so metallic looking that it's harsh or gaudy on the eyes. I don't think the controller could be more comfortable if it tried---I really wish other companies would do the same with their controllers.
