The High Intensity-Ish Bullet

While it wasn't high intensity enough for me, this may very well do the trick for beginners or women who need mild to moderate vibration levels. The Crystal High Intensity Bullet is beautiful and smart in design, but sadly failed for me in the area that was most important - performance.

Use

The Crystal High Intensity Bullet is made for clitoral stimulation. While this is its main feature, it could also be used for nipple stimulation. If used very carefully, shallow internal vaginal stimulation. While you could insert this internally, it doesn't have any type of curve to it, so it will not stimulate your G spot. It does not flare at all and is very small, so I would not recommend this for anal play under any circumstances.

The High Intensity Bullet may be used for either solo or couples play. It can be used alone, with a toy, or during intercourse. In fact, I would recommend using this with a partner, as I found this was a better warm up toy than a "get you there" toy.

Material / Texture

The Crystal High Intensity Bullet is made of hard plastic with no give to it. Due to the material, there is no smell and only a light plastic taste to it. It has a glossy finish, which I'm a little concerned will chip over time, but I haven't had it long enough to say for certain. The texture is a smooth finish without any additional ribbing or nubs. For this particular bullet, it works well because of the pinpoint tip. I think additional texture would have been at the expense of the tip.

Beginners and advanced users alike will be able to use this material so long as you don't require soft clitoral stimulation. If you prefer jelly tips or supple silicone, this may not be the toy for you.

Plastic can be used with any lube you'd like. It rates an 8 on the safety scale and cannot be boiled. If you plan on sharing this, make sure to take extra precaution.

Design / Shape / Size

I'll be honest, I bought this based on the design alone. It's so pretty and glam! It's a beautiful shade of pink that's a brighter version of baby pink. The area right above the dial has six crystals around it. I just love the way this bullet looks. I feel like it should be put on display somewhere. The crystals may fall off in time; as glued crystals tend to do, but for now I'll enjoy the bling in my collection.

This bullet comes in right at 3" in length, of which under 2" would be insertable if you chose to do so. It's about 2 1/2" in circumference; about your average sized bullet.

The High Intensity Bullet features a pinpoint tip with a slight curve for precision. Because of the curve, it's not a tip that should cause any poking or pain. I think the point is just right for the bullet and should suit anyone looking to get direct stimulation to one area of the body. For those who want a more general vibration, this could possibly be turned on its side, but the vibrations are more geared toward the tip, so you won't get as strong of a result doing it this way.

While it does look like a bullet, I think the High Intensity is quite discreet because of its color and design. It could pass for part of a makeup collection. Perhaps a lipstick or one of those retractable brushes. You could carry this in your purse and if someone saw it, their first thought would probably not be that it is a sex toy. I haven't had any issues with it randomly turning on, so I would say it's safe for travel as well. Just to be safe, especially if flying, take the battery out if you're very concerned.

The High Intensity takes N-1 batteries. I find that to be a pain in the butt because these can sometimes be hard to come by. My husband says they are easily found in camera stores, but that's an extra trip, so it still counts as in inconvenience to me.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The High Intensity is controlled by one button on the end of the bullet. Simply press once to turn on and then hold it down to increase the speed. I only have one other bullet with similar controls. All the rest have dial controls which always seem to slow things down when you need to increase the speed quickly. When you're ready to turn it off, simply press the button down again.

The only bad thing about this type of control is that you can accidentally turn it off instead of up if you're not careful. Be mindful that you hold to turn up and press to turn off. There is a glowing LED light on the control that blinks to let you know that you are turning it up, so this should help alleviate some of this potential problem. Once you get a hang of the control, it's quite simple to operate.

The package doesn't say how many speed options are available and since there isn't an up and down control, I couldn't quite count out the number of speeds. The vibrations range from very mild to pretty strong, but buzzy. The vibrations are all centered in the top most part of the bullet, which is exactly where they should be. When I hold the bullet to my hand, the vibrations feel as high intensity as the name would imply. However, once applied to my clit, the vibrations seem to dissipate for some reason. I'm not sure why this is, as there is skin contact either way; the vibrations are softened by at least half when I use them for their intended purpose. I find this extremely frustrating. I haven't noticed anyone else mention this though, so maybe it's just me.

I found this toy to be very quiet. Definitely can not be heard through a closed door and can barely be heard at arms length except on the highest setting. I tend to use my bullets when out and about, so discreetness in sound is always a big plus in my book. You probably couldn't get away with using this in a public restroom without being noticed unless there was a lot of running water, but in most instances where you don't want to be heard, this bullet will come through.

This bullet is waterproof, featuring a pink O ring that keeps water out of the battery compartment. It worked fine in the shower. When I submerged it the first time it seemed a bit glitchy to me. The move from vibration levels seemed to slow down a bit and it wasn't quite as responsive as it was out of water. The second time I tried it, it did not have this problem. I really don't know if I would recommend playing with this in a tub or pool, because the waterproof capabilities seem a little questionable.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Crystal Bullet is waterproof, or splashproof; I wash mine in the sink with either soap and water or toy cleaner. It's very easy to clean. Because of the paint coating on it, I'm a little concerned about chipping with cleaning. I would not recommend using anything very strong to clean this. Usually you can use alcohol with plastic, but in this instance, I might avoid it due to the coating.

I would be careful with placement on this bullet, as the crystals are simply glued on and could come out over time. Since the crystals are personally my favorite thing about it, I'm planning on keeping mine in the package it came in to make sure nothing rubs up against it.

Packaging

This little bullet comes in a plastic case that is made for hanging. It has a paper backing that has some instructions on how to use the controls, and talks about some features of the bullet. Inside the package, the bullet is wrapped in cellophane. I actually thought that the bullet came with the coating messed up because I didn't realize it was wrapped up inside of the package itself.

The Crystal Bullet also includes one N-1 battery. I'm always appreciative when a company includes a battery, especially a difficult to find one, in the package. I know it's something small, but it makes a big difference in my eyes. It saves you some hassle and allows for instant play in case you happen to be out of a battery type you thought you had.

The packaging is small, about 7" in length, and can be used for storage. It's not the prettiest package you'll ever run across, but it will keep the bullet from some wear and tear.

The package does say "bullet" on it, so it's not particularly discreet, but it doesn't have scantily clad people on it either. The paper backing can easily be taken out if you choose to use it for storage.

Personal comments

Personally, I was unable to cum from this bullet. However, the vibrations are likely strong enough for the majority of users. I happen to have a clit of steel, so it takes really intense vibrations for me to cum. This just didn't do the trick for me. Despite that, I would recommend this to women who know they don't need the most powerful settings. I would rate it around a 3 on the vroom scale. I have a fair amount of toys with a lot more kick to them. To someone who is extremely sensitive though, this might feel more like a 4 intensity.

This comes in at 2 stars for me. One star because it's so pretty and one for the easy to use controls. The lack of coming through for me on the "high intensity" claim knocks my rating down, as well as my complete inability to get any result from this.

Your mileage may vary a lot with this bullet. Despite my bad experience, I would recommend this to beginners who are looking for a quality bullet. The design is good and the controls are simple enough to pick up on. For more advanced users or my fellow power girls; I would say stick to what you know works for you because this will likely end up being a tease.

Experience

I would love to say that I had a great experience with this bullet. After reading so many glowing reviews, and what with it being called a "high intensity" bullet; I was sure this would be a win for me. I love the look of it and the design of the tip. I really wanted this to work. Alas, the high intensity wasn't quite intense enough for me.

I've tried this bullet a few times; using the lower settings to warm myself up and then increasing the speed. I found myself pressing the button as hard as I could, expecting it to get to a higher setting. At one point my finger was turning white from me pressing it so hard. I just couldn't get it to have the same intensity on my clit that I could when I would hold it. It's like it literally cut the vibrations in half when I went to use it. Somehow, contact with my clit shut it down.

This was good as a warm up, but try as I might, and for quite a while; I was unable to achieve an orgasm with this bullet. Not even a little one. After a good fifteen or twenty minutes, (for reference I can usually cum in under five) I finally gave up and reached for another toy to finish the job.

This bullet has its place. I can see it being a nice addition during sex if I'm in one of those moods for mild clitoral stimulation (it happens once in a blue moon). It's good for a nice warm up when I'm in the mood for something less stimulating. But really, I see this bullet mostly adorning my sex toy drawer looking pretty and collecting dust. I'm pretty devastated over that, because it's so beautiful.
Follow-up commentary
I never use this for its actual purpose, but if you read any of my other reviews you'll notice this is the one I use when I need a picture of a bullet to compare another product to. It's just so pretty I had to find someway to get some use out of it. I guess it was worth the money to have something pretty for my pictures, but it sure would have been nice had this, you know, worked for me.

Based on what other people have said, this bullet is more than enough for most people though. Don't be too dissuaded by my opinion unless you need higher than average power. For real power lovers, I still call this one a pass.
