Jewel - traditional vibrator discontinued by Shaki Toys - review by ~LaUr3n~

I am still blown away that I got both this toy, the Jewel, and The Prince for the same price! Even if they are not on sale for less than $7 each, they are a great bargain, especially this much larger version of The Prince which is the same shape, material, and design. Where The Prince is a great intro toy for clitoral, The Jewel is great for intro to vaginal insertion and vibration. The multi-speed vibrations are not the most impressive compared to other toys, but for the price they are! The shape is sleek yet still can provide some g-spot stimulation and the material is low maintenance. This is great for even the more advanced. It looks pretty too!

The Jewel is made of a very velvety matte plastic. I love the feel of this. I found myself stroking it with my hand because it felt so luxurious. The plastic is safe for the body and is phthalates and latex free, hypo-allergenic, and food-grade. It has no smell at all and no taste. Plastic is safe but it still is semi-porous and can't be sterilized. If you want to share, use a condom.

The Jewel is an excellent size. It isn't too small and it isn't too large. It's the middle of the road in terms of size. Since the Prince was so small, I was expecting this to be smaller than expected as well, but it actually was a little larger than I anticipated even after reading the measurements etc.

It is 6 1/2" in total length and a decent amount of insertable length-5 1/4". It has some great girth also. I don't like a stretching amount of girth, but I do like to feel the toy and so the range of 3 1/2"-4 1/4" in circumference is great for me. The top of the toy starts a gradual increase in circumference and maxes out at 4 1/4". The first 2 1/2 inches of the toy have a slight bulge and then it tapers in the middle of the shaft to be 3 1/2" in circumference. The bottom of the toy has 2 rows of fake jewels. I got the black colored vibe and so jewels really pop!

The Jewel isn't very discreet. It is a medium-large size and semi phallic shaped. Also the jewels might catch additional attention. It is ok for travel because the material doesn't collect dust or lint.

To use the Jewel just twist the bottom part that has the jewels on it. Immediately there is a low flutter level of vibration that is relatively quiet. This level can be felt in the top 2 1/2" and barely anywhere else, turning a little more goes into the mid range, this is considerably louder but only a bit stronger and can be felt throughout most of the shaft but is concentrated in the top. Turning all the way to the end will achieve the highest level of vibration and this is very loud. It is only a moderate level though.

The vibrations are strong enough for clitoral stimulation and not too string for my relatively sensitive clit. The shape of the slightly bulged top can actually provide some g-spot stimulation although not enough for me to finish from. It feels great for slow penetration. Fast penetration worries me because of the rigidity. Overall I was pleased with the size and shape.

The package says that it is waterproof; but, after examining the toy, I won't be using this in water. The seal is very small and doesn't look think it is thick enough to block all moisture.

One of the weirdest battery compartments is in this toy. When you unscrew the bottom you see that it requires two AA batteries. Remove the rolled up paper that shows which way they need to go. There is a plastic tube inside that comes out; this has to stay in in order for the battery to slide in. It makes me wonder why it comes out to easily in the first place. It can also be put in wrong preventing the toy from being closed all the way. If your toy won't turn on, check this first.

This vibrator is easy to take care of. Just use warm water and soap. Remove the batteries prior to cleaning and also for storage. You can use rubbing alcohol on the surface of the toy also since it is plastic. You can use any type of lubricant with this toy. The matter surface makes the cheapest of lubes feel better! I hate the packaging for this toy, so I keep it in a mesh bag instead.

The packaging is a bit ridiculous. There are exaggerated a cheesy claims all over the packaging as well as two large topless picture of some chick. I never understood why naked women had to be on these things. It's not like only women buy them! Anywho...I threw it out. It looked like the cover to a porno and was too large.

I am giving the Jewel 3 stars. It is a great size and has a good range of vibes. Even though they are not really strong, the sound is! The material and look of this toy is very pretty, but looks are not everything. I was disappointed that this doesn't seem waterproof as claimed and that the packaging could double as a porno.
