Mantric mpod - bullet discontinued by Mantric - review by Kinky Skier

When EF fist suggested I review this product, I was a little unimpressed. I had this thought in my mind that it would be a weak, fragile, cheaply made, "gonna throw it away in a week" kind of toy. Boy was I wrong! Not only did it stimulate well during solo play, but also was an excellent toy during foreplay as well. Because of its size and low sound the Mpod would lend itself great to travel, and discrete use. In all, it might not replace your larger massager but for the size and ability to travel lightly this little guy can pack quite a punch.

It's ten vibration settings are enough to get anyone going, weather its for external use, or as a replacement vibrating bullet for one of your other toys. The long cord also come in very handy, enabling the remote end to be held a few feet away by you or someone else.

The bullet of the Mpod is hard plastic with a velvety texture, and it did not have a smell or taste. The controller end of the toy is hard plastic as well, without the velvety texture. The texture of the bullet does not add any stimulation, though it seems like it was a smart option by the designer, being a little more on the inviting side. It does not collect dust or retain smells with proper washing like other materials can. I also thought the area where the cord attaches to the controller and the bullet was a smart design, as I have seen corded devices fail in this area.

This little bullet can hum! The first time I used it I put the waterproof feature to the test and it performed perfectly! The size is right on with other bullets used in toys, enabling the mPod to be used as the replacement bullet with 10 settings. The controller end is also a good size, resting comfortably and naturally in your hand, though the shape is a bit lacking on the creative side.

Considering the device is quite small, probably packing up smaller than a Tv remote. This will enable the mPod to travel very well, and maintain a very discrete presence.

The controller is a clean looking, simple design as well! Two push buttons control the 10 settings!!! Together, they navigate the vibration settings forward and back, cycling through them one at a time. The first three are low medium and high. After that, its a delightful set of cyclical patterns of the three. I believe one setting might be random too. The controls are easy for anyone to learn. We had a good laugh when I had climaxed after some hand-held loving from my wife and was clicking through the settings trying to find "off". I just kept on buzzing until I found it. I did however recently use the toy, and found that if you hold the button for a couple seconds it shuts off the toy. Good to know!

The vibrations weren't concentrated in any one area in the bullet. Of all the vibration settings, I really enjoyed the 5th setting. It is a long vibration, followed by a short burst vibration, all in the high vibration mode. My wife enjoyed that one as well, though she also like the medium and high constant vibrations when toying her clit.

The toy is not noisy at all! unless you drop it in the shower, then, BZZZZZZZZZ!!!! ha ha ha that was loud! It was definitely water proof. no leaks.

We washed this toy with soapy water and a good scrubbing each time. We store it in a dry toy chest near our bed. I am currently unsure on compatibility with lubes (I could not find a website for Mantric at all!) but we use water based lubes, and being hard plastic, one would think it is safe to use with other lubes. No promises though.

There is one small difficult spot to clean though. There is a small hair thin parting line around the waist of the bullet vibe that can collect "stuff" after use. It is such a small parting line I would think only a small dedicated tooth brush would be able to clean it. We will see.

The packaging was simple. It looked a bit like you were buying a small jogging MP3 player. Something you would see on a shelf at Best Buy, though, the clam shell design of the package was very easy to open!

I used the Mpod during masturbation and it felt wonderful. Together we used it as a foreplay toy on her externally and on my perineum. Worked wonderfully! The long cord also makes it easy for a partner to control your vibes from a small distance. When used in combination with another bullet-able toy, the mPod just adds to the toys overall experience!
