L’Amour Thumper - g-spot rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Eva Schwaltz

The L’Amour premium silicone massager Thumper, which I will just call Thumper for short, is a small rabbit vibrator that packs a punch. The shaft rotates in a circular motion meant to stimulate the G-spot, and the rabbit ears vibrate on the clitoris which makes this best suited for females for solo play.

The insertable portion and clitoral stimulator are silicone while the base where the buttons and battery compartment are located is made of plastic.

The shaft is slightly curved at the tip and has very slight ridges on the backside and along the side of the shaft but I don’t notice them during use. There is also a seam running along the shaft but it is very well blended in.

There is no fooling anyone about what this is; luckily this is one of the smallest rotating rabbits that is easy to tuck away. The shaft doesn’t have any beads on the inside so there’s no discomfort there, but if you clamp down really hard it is possible to stop the motor.

The shaft is about 4” insertable and 4 ¼” around which would not be an overwhelming size for beginners. The head is nicely tapered for easy insertion. The rabbit ears are very flexible but it would fit those who’s clitoris is closer to their vaginal opening.

There are three buttons to control the various functions on the Thumper. One acts as the designated on/off button, while the middle button controls the clit stimulator, and the last one controls the three speeds of rotation. The clit stimulator has three steady speeds of vibration, then a pulsating mode, escalation, faster pulsations, and the final pattern has three short pulses followed by a longer pulse. This is a very quiet rabbit, I doubt it would be heard through a closed door.

It runs on three AAA batteries. It comes with a cartridge to hold the batteries in place. To keep the batteries from draining quickly, take the batteries out when the toy is not in use.

It’s advertised as being waterproof but I would say it’s splash proof because the battery compartment can open fairly easily and you don’t want to ruin the toy.

Soap and water, or a good toy cleaner should do the trick. You can also wipe it down with a 10 per cent bleach solution to sterilize it. The silicone has quite a bit of drag so it tends to pick up hairs and dust so it is a good idea to wash before and after using. Only stick to water based lubes so you don’t damage the nice coating on the toy.
