The Duchess Metal Jewels is the new rabbit style vibrator from California Exotics. Rabbit style vibrators are a wonderful option for women looking for simultaneous g-spot and clitoral stimulation. This toy is waterproof, so it can safely be used anywhere. As long as anywhere doesn't have any curious people within earshot. This vibrator is as loud as it is powerful. Unfortunately, it sounds as though you are attempting to pleasure yourself with a blender every time you use it. In fact, my dog ran out of the room in fright the moment I turned it on. On a positive note, this vibrator is quite the powerhouse and is sure not to leave you disappointed. If anything, users who don't prefer strong vibrations may find this toy to be clit numbing.

This vibrator is crafted out of TPR and plastic. The insertable portion is the TPR and the control panel is the plastic. TPR rates a 7/10 on Eden's safety scale. It is less porous than jelly rabbit vibes but still more porous than its silicone competitors. The more porous a toy is, the harder it is to disinfect. Some users may opt to use a condom on this toy in order to keep it as clean as possible.

The insertable TPR portion of this toy has a smooth, rippled texture to it. It has a good amount of give to it and can be squished when you squeeze it. The material does have a lot of drag to it, so lube may be required during use. Silicone or water-based lubes will be fine. The material will be a bit sticky when first unpackaged but I was able to rinse it right off. The material does attract lint and hairs, so this toy will need to be cleaned both before and after use.

The TPR does have a slight rubbery odor when held up to the nose but it was not noticeable during use. There is no taste to this product.

With the insertable portion of the Duchess being only 4 inches long and about 1.5-2 inches wide, it's definitely one of the smaller toys that I own. The total length of the toy is 8 inches from tip to base.

The shaft is a smooth, swirled design with a bulb at the end and a bump meant to hit the woman's g-spot. There is a white wand inside the TPR that makes the shaft rotate. The clitoral arm is about 3 inches long and 1 inch wide. It is shaped to resemble a bunny but is not very detailed; you can just made out a single curved tip for the ears and a little round nose. The tip of the ears was very stimulating to me, as I enjoy pinpoint clitoral vibrations. The tip vibrates quickly back and forth while you use it, which felt great. I also like that the bunny is very flexible. It is designed as a separate TPR coated bullet and is connected to the shaft by a little wire inside. This makes it very soft and moveable. The bullet portion is made of the same metallic colored plastic as the base.

This toy is not at all discreet, as just about anyone who sees it will immediately know what it is. It is not particularly easy to hide or travel size either. This one will need to be stored in a bedside drawer or toy box.

The Duchess runs on three AAA batteries. Why it couldn't run on two AAs I have no idea but I digress. The bottom of the base has a battery cap that screws off and then a battery tray is inside. The tray takes two AAAs on one side and one on the other. As long as this cap is screwed back on tightly, the toy is completely waterproof. I tested it out in the bathtub and ran into no issues whatsoever.





This toy is quite easy to use. The control panel on the base has two buttons. The top one controls the vibrations of the toy and the bottom one controls the rotation of the shaft. Each has five different functions.

3. High
4. Low, Medium, High (not a smooth escalation but more of a 1,2,3 and 1,2,3 and 1,2,3)
5. Pulsation

Rotations:
1. Clockwise
2. Counterclockwise
3. One each way
4. Four each way

The option for mixing and matching to create a more personalized experience was great. Personally, I like the #2 vibration with the #4 rotation. The ability to set it to switch back and forth between clockwise and counterclockwise felt amazing.

Although I describe the vibrations as low, medium and high, please realize that even the low setting is not very low. In fact, medium, high, and very high may be a better way to state it. This vibrator is very strong. In fact, I was not able to use the highest setting, as it was a little too numbing for me. More sensitive women may not enjoy this toy as much as those requiring stronger vibrations.

In terms of noise, this baby is very loud. I would compare it to the sound of a blender. If you need a toy that is more discreet, this is not going to be the right choice for you. It can certainly be heard through a door.

To turn this toy off, each button must be held down for three seconds. This is a bit of a nuisance, really, since I like a one press turn off but I just remove the toy from myself and then turn it off.

The Duchess is easy to care for. You can use Eden toy wipes, toy cleaner, or an antibacterial hand soap. TPR cannot be bleached, boiled, or put in the dishwasher. It should be stored in a cool place and out of direct sunlight to avoid any melting of the material. TPR is compatible with all types of lube.

This toy came is a decorative clear plastic box. The box is not at all dicreet. Inside the box, the toy sits in a plastic tray. It is accompanied by instructions. The instructions cover the battery insertion, troubleshooting, use, and warnings. The "use" portion of the instructions does not explain the functions but, rather, explains to insert the toy inside yourself and hit the button. For those who couldn't figure that out on their own, I suppose.

My first experience with this toy was in the bathtub. This toy was easy to insert as it is not particularly large. I found the buttons well placed and easy to use while the toy was inside of me. When I powered it up, I was very surprised by both the amount of power and the amount of noise this toy created. It really caught me off guard at first. Once I found the right combination, using this toy was truly wonderful. I liked the Duchess much more than I expected I would. It brought me to a huge orgasm and I can't wait to use it again.
