Pros:

Use

The Better than Chocolate vibrator is a clitoral stimulator. It and is pretty much a one trick pony, but boy what a trick! The pointed end provides very good vibration to the clit, either held pointed down, or placed over the mons pointed up. It has a couple of different settings, so you can either get a constant vibration or pulsed vibrations. It also has a slider for changing the intensity of the vibes. The function and intensity can be locked in, so it doesn't get changed in the heat of the action.

It is waterproof, so you can use it in the bathtub, which is a lot of fun. It has a soft velvety surface which is easy to hold and is very easy to clean.

Material / Texture

The Better than Chocolate vibrator is made of non-porous TPR so it can be used with any lube, though I have never found the need for lube. The material is velvety and smooth and quite comfortable to hold. It is easy to clean and works well in the bath.

Design / Shape / Size

The wings are a little too wide for me, so closing my legs with the vibrator in place becomes a little uncomfortable after a while, but overall the design is quite pleasurable.

The slider is a bit too small to be easy to use and takes some practice to get things set the way you want it, but the idea is quite innovative. The locking function is very useful as it is quite easy to hit the functions button by mistake in the heat of the action. The lock doesn't always set, though. Sometimes you have to turn the device off and back on to get it to lock.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibe has a nice directed vibration in the pointed tip, but also provides overall vibration. The vibration is quite smooth and is reasonably intense, but doesn't ramp up quite as high as I would like. The 3 functions are pretty standard for multi-function vibes: continuous and pulsating. The slider is a great innovation and with a little bit of improvement would be fantastic. It is sometimes quite difficult to get the intensity to change. The slider needs to be a bit larger and more responsive. The locking feature is great, when it works. It is about average, for a battery vibe, in terms of noise. It is waterproof and has worked fine for me in the bath.

The triple A batteries are a bit of a weakness. They are expensive and don't last very long.

Care and Maintenance

It comes with a small bag for storage, but generally I only use this when traveling. The on/off switch does not lock, so taking the batteries out when traveling is a good idea.

The vibe came in a high quality box, with a very minimal instruction manual. (It didn't even describe the different functions.) Frankly, the box didn't last long; I wanted what was in it.

  • Intercourse expereince with "better than chocolate"?

      My husband and i are looking for a vibrator that we can use *while* having sex while he is on top. We were looking at this one hoping it would be small enough (in thickness) that it won't get in the way or be too painful. We also liked the shape of it.

    • I really think this is too large for that.
    • I agree with Adriana Ravenlust, it is too big for man-on-top intercourse. However, it does work fairly well in Cowgirl intercourse. The problem with the better than chocolate is that the controls are tricky and easy to change without meaning to, especially in the heat of the moment. Sometimes, simple is better, but we DO like the better than chocolate during foreplay! My wife calls it her favorite. (bliss)
