Triple motor jack rabbit - triple stimulation vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Petite Valentine

Cal Exotics, the company credited with the invention of the "Original Jack Rabbit"—named "Number One Pleasure Product of the Decade" by ETO (the UK's version of AVN)—has updated their classic design with more power, customizable options, and a body-safe material that's easy to clean and maintain. The rascally rabbit has been a bestseller since its introduction in the 1990s, and the reason is obvious: it offers simultaneous vaginal and clitoral stimulation!

The Triple Motor Silicone Jack Rabbit is everything we love about the man-made material: smooth, nonporous, hypoallergenic, and warms relatively quickly when placed in warm water or other heated places. If you like your toys phthalate-free, latex-free, etc., Cal Exotics' "Safe and Pure" icon is the one to look for. You can read more about their "Safe and Pure" initiative in this discussion.

The silicone of this vibrator is matte and smooth, with minimalist swirls along the shaft. They add to the toy's aesthetic but are imperceptible during use. There are small seams running the length of the toy at the 12-and-6 o'clock positions (if you are holding the vibrator so that the controls face upwards), but they are well-sanded and you would never notice them unless you were actively looking for them.

The shaft is a classic phallus shape, and the insertable portion measures 5.5" (14 cm) long. From the clitoral rabbit to the tip, the shaft is mostly uniform in thickness, about 1.75" (4.5 cm) in diameter. It is a pinch wider where the motor for shaft rotation resides, and a touch smaller where it curves right before the tip, which resembles the male glans. The faceless rabbit arm measures 2.25” (5.75 cm) x 1.25” (3.25 cm). Warning: it's not light. The Silicone Jack Rabbit weighs 14.125 oz (399 g) with the three AA batteries on board.

The three batteries ride in a removable plastic insert, which makes changing them easy; just remember that it takes three—not two— AAs to get the party started. It's easy to overlook the third, since it sits in back of the other two. To open the battery compartment, you'll need to give the dial on the bottom a little twist. It doesn't need to go far, but it does take a little extra strength (if you have arthritis in your hands this may be a challenge). To close it back up, make sure the tiny tabs on the dial line up with the slots. (Side note: the control panel and end cap are made from ABS, not silicone.)

When stood on its end, the Triple Motor Silicone Jack Rabbit is almost 10" (25.4 cm) long and 2" (5 cm) wide at the base. It comes in three colors: blue, purple, and (hot) pink, and is designed specifically for vaginal use and clitoral stimulation. It's too large to go incognito in a purse, and since it has motorized parts it's best left in the checked luggage if you're traveling.

The waterproof Jack Rabbit has a four-button control panel that allows you to customize the patterns to your pleasure. In the center is a basic power button to turn the unit on (the blue LED above the function button will light) and to quickly turn the unit off when you're done (or interrupted). It's a great improvement on having to click through all the functions to kill the motor, but it doesn't remember your settings the next time you turn it on.

The button with the symbol resembling a sine wave controls the vibration, pulsation, and escalation of the clitoral stimulator. The buttons at the bottom (up-down arrows) add vibration to the tip and rotation of the shaft. For greater intensity, keep pressing the up-arrow. If the intensity is too much, press the down-arrow to turn-off the motors in the shaft and tip while the clitoral arm continues to work its magic. The button layout isn't intuitive, but you should be able to get it down after a few uses.

To cycle through the seven functions of the clitoral arm, press the function (sine wave) button. Pressing it an eighth time will shut-off the motor to the rabbit appendage. Even at minimum power, the motor(s) make noise: think 'handheld powertool.' If privacy is an issue, this vibrator will be a challenge, since the sound can be heard through a closed door.

To make sure your rabbit lasts as long as possible, use only water-based lubricant with it. To protect the battery compartment and motors, make sure the dial on the bottom is completely closed before submerging in the bath or Jacuzzi.

When you're done with play, it can be cleaned with soap and water or an appropriate toy cleaner. Even though it is pure silicone, do not boil the rabbit, as the high temperatures will likely destroy one or all three of the motors. Make sure it's completely dry before you pack it away in a drawer or toy chest.

Silicone is body-safe, but if you will be sharing this toy with a partner(s), make sure to clean it before swapping. Or sheathe it in a toy cover or condom.

It's very straightforward and not the type of presentation that lends itself to gifting without wrapping paper and extra bows. The cardboard box features a life-size photo of the rabbit on the front, and a bullet list of its special features in several languages on the back of the box. It doesn't have "care" instructions, but a side panel lists some of the do's and don'ts of Jack Rabbit ownership.

A form-fitted plastic holds the toy in place inside the box. There are no recycling symbols or classification numbers on it, so you may have to trash it unless your local ordinance accepts unmarked plastics. The packaging is made in the U.S.A., even though the vibrator is made in China.

This is my first rabbit, and finally I understand what all the fuss is about! If you're looking for a gift for someone special or a special gift just for you, this gets a thumbs up. Oh what fun, it is to ride…

There are some things I would change about it if I could: I'd put raised designs on the buttons so you can tell which is which by feel, I'd add an option to switch the direction of the shaft rotation, I'd make it lighter, and I'd make it quieter (it takes a Jacuzzi at full bubble to drown out the noise). But even without these improvements, I'm giving this rabbit 5-stars. I enjoy the three adjustable motors, I like that the rabbit isn't staring into my eyes (i.e. it has no face), and I even like the swirls, since they seem to help keep the toy lubricated.

I worried that the three AA batteries wouldn't be able to provide enough power, but so far that hasn't been the case. The motors keep going even during an intimate clench, and after a couple of lengthy sessions at medium / high settings, the batteries are still going strong.

This is an easy recommendation for experienced users and beginners, though I would warn first-timers to make sure they're comfortable with the width. It's on the girthy end of the spectrum, and you really feel it when the shaft rotates.
