This is the way the world ends

...not with a bang, but a whimper.

This toy is nigh inaudible beneath the sheets with nice, arousing vibrations. Though not powerful enough to stand alone, with another toy or two it can keep you fighting to be just as quiet.

Use

I'll admit, I may be slightly biased with this toy. It was my second vibrator after years of using whatever I could find that wasn't going to give me any diseases (warning: not recommended). However, I think this gives me a sort of fresh and unjaded outlook on this little finger vibe.

For beginners, I believe this toy is a wonderful choice. Though its vibrations are not incredibly powerful, they're definitely there and provide an excellent kick-start into foreplay. It can be used across the body, particularly around the nipples and clitoris as expected. It can also be used in slight insertion, both anal and vaginally. I'd recommend the option of penetration as it really revs you up while leaving your clit open for stronger vibrations from another toy. However it can be reversed and used externally with a thicker toy inserted depending on personal choices.

This finger vibe can be used solo and with a partner, but may only be powerful enough for a tease with the latter.

Material / Texture

This finger vibe has a nice, smooth texture almost akin to some sort of velvety plastic. Though it's harder towards the battery-toting bullet that powers it, the end of it is far more flexible. Even with no lube, it's gentle when rubbed across skin and faces minimal friction. It's 100% silicone, which means no silicone based lube should be used with this toy. It came with no smell and retains no smell, though I haven't particularly tried to taste it.

Any stage of user could use this toy due to its simplicity.

Design / Shape / Size

The packaging declares it’s minimalist in design and I am inclined to agree. It's attractive, has a variety of color options, and is decently discreet, though anyone with their fair share of toys will be able to hazard a guess of its uses. It's meant to be simple and it achieves that. It is not made to stimulate the G-spot as evidence by its smaller length (3.5 inches with most of it insertable) but it does its job well. Due to its tiny size it's also incredibly easy to hide, making it suitable for travel.

I would recommend this to beginners before advanced users due to its notable tiny size and minimal buzz.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The powerhouse of this little buddy is the bullet in the center. I cannot tell a lie, I had trouble figuring out how to replace the batteries. To remove the bullet from the sleeve you have to squeeze it up and out, then twist the casing open and put in the new batteries. However, what's surprising about the vibe is that the bullet's power isn't absorbed by the sleeve, but throbs all the way through it to its destination. The vibrations aren’t absorbed by fingers due to the ring shaped extension made for holding.

While the vibrations are pleasing enough; there is only one setting. You push the button to turn it on, and you push the button again to turn it off. I've had the occasional slip where I press the vibe further in and accidentally turn it off, so it's a good idea to be careful around the button itself. On the other hand, for the tiny punch it packs, the vibe is true to its word in its silence. When used externally the vibe can barely be heard beneath even a light blanket or sheet, and beyond a door it is completely undetectable.

The toy is splashproof but definitely not waterproof. While it's perfectly safe for showers, if submerged it will, understandably, drown. Resuscitation varies from "mildly difficult" to "He's dead, Jim."

Perhaps my biggest if not only problem with this toy is its battery usage. The toy comes with three sets of watch batteries, which is amazing for the price of the toy itself, but difficult for replacing. The batteries this toy needs can be priced up to ten dollars for just one in some stores, and the toy takes two to run. The typical lifespan of the batteries depends on how frequently or consistently they're used; in one session of my own I kept it on for about an hour and noticed when it began to fade and ultimately die, but another set of batteries lasted multiple short sessions.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning this toy is simple and easy. Any antibacterial soap mixed with hot water will do the trick, though once the bullet is removed the sleeve itself can be boiled for a complete cleaning. Lint and tiny fuzzies don't stick to the toy either, which makes cleaning that much easier. The material itself is as safe as can be and retains no bacteria-housing pores that can mess you up later.

The toy cannot be stored in its original packaging but can easily be placed in an old vibe's box or even another small, clean compartment of some sort.

Once again, do not use silicone based lube with this toy. The results will not be pretty.

Personal comments

For a nice slow-and-steady-wins-the-race session, this toy is definitely one of my favorites and one I'd like to keep around for a while.

However, I find its current price a bit much even for such a fun toy. I would recommend a purchase be put off for a sale or discount on the vibe rather than paying in full.
Follow-up commentary
While I still appreciate everything that the Ophoria finger vibe brings me, I must restate how difficult it is to find batteries for it. I have been unable to find batteries in most stores near me,and during "power droughts" as I call them, I use it instead as a sort of mini-dildo to build up to larger products.
