Smart Wand medium - wand massager discontinued by LELO - review by arewehavingfun?

This wand massager can be used as a (female) masturbatory device or a muscle massager/relaxer for anyone. Although much smaller in size, it looks like the infamous Hitachi Magic Wand. Since receiving the Smart Wand (medium) from Lelo and experiencing her pleasure, I have retired my Hitachi. The Hitatchi has more power, but the Smart Wand has plenty. It is surely more than enough power for my needs. The major reason that I prefer the Smart Wand is its weight (155 grams/5.3 ounces) and it has no cord. It has no batteries but comes with a charging cord. Initially, it takes 2 hours to charge.

Used as a clitoral stimulator the Magic Wand excels. She has not failed me yet. I can go long and slow or quick, quick, quick and be on my way with a smile on my face. A big smile! She can also loosen any tight muscles for you or your partner (of any sex and persuasion). My man enjoys this to relax after sports. He also gets turned on with a light vibration to his inner thighs. I want to try it behind his balls and apply external sensations to his prostate area but so far he isn't willing to go there. I don't know why--the idea of it seems so hot to me. The material is mostly silicone with a small amount of plastic. There is no smell or taste. The texture is simply amazing. It is very smooth on the surface. Although the wand is firm and not flexible, the topical silicone gives such a seductive smoothness to it. If this were a person, I would never leave her side. Imagine spooning with the softest, most loving person you know. Amazing, isn't it? There is only one man for me and only one clitoral massager! The head and most of the curved body is covered in this same velvety smooth silicone. Mine is pure white with a shiny silvery plastic plate covering part of the lower inner curve. It looks like a luxurious statue that should be on display in the finest museaum. Lelo's design team outdid themselves with this one.

The outer curved side of the wand is just about 8.75". At the head, it has a 3" diameter and gradually tapers to a 7/8" diameter at the flat side. There is a small round charging port on this end. The charger is included and very convenient to use. It takes 2 hours for a full charge.

The curve and smoothness of this make it very easy to hold. The curve actually makes it more comfortable to hold against the clitoral area. Call me stupid, but I don't think most people would look at this and think, "masturbation". I say the same thing about the Hitatchi but I have heard that more of them are used for masturbation than for massaging muscles. What do I know? I guess the answer would be, "Not much."

I have smallish hands but this is also comfortable for my husband's much larger hands to hang on to. A nice black pouch is included for discreet storage. It is small enough to be kept in any drawer and discreet enough to be kept in public areas (as long as visitors don't pick it up and look inside the pouch). I would not hesitate to travel with this. I even feel comfortable enough to take it through TSA screening.

The controls are 3 depressions which are clearly felt on the inside curve. They light up when in use. The light is not bright enough to be a distraction. The oval shape is used to change the pattern of pulsations while the +/- is used to power up or down. The vibrations are all felt in the head and do not travel to your hand at all. To turn the device off all you need to do is to depress the oval for a few seconds.

Lelo says this is waterproof but we do not use it in the tub so I can not remark on that. They do say not to boil it or put it in the dishwasher. This is such a quiet toy, even on its highest power level. In fact, the higher power is so quiet that you can not hear it from under the blankets. If the room is silent and you make sure to listen carefully, you can barely hear the vibrator going.

An unusual and unique feature of the Smart Wand is the more pressure you use against the body, the more power this puts out. I don't know the mechanism of that function but it easily allows you to control your solo or couples toy play sessiosn. Just relax and have fun.

This will be one of the easiest toys to maintain that you have ever owned. You can use a toy cleanser/sterilizer or some antibiotic soap and warm water. Lelo says the Smart Wand is waterproof but on the flat end there is an open port for charging. It is not covered so I am hesitant to suggest immersing it in water. I use a small sponge with liquid soap and water to wash it and then make sure all the soap is carefully rinsed off. I pay special attention to the head area because that comes in very personal contact with my vaginal area and I want to prevent infections. I have not had any problems with infections from this or any other toy and would prefer to keep it that way!

Silicone and plastic are nonporous, but I still suggest condoms if you will be sharing this toy with other. I am a health and safety freak!

I will let you be surprised, but from the cardboard box wrapped in a thinly padded bag, to the beautiful white box and the silky pouch, everything about the packaging is very nicely done. It is something that can be gift wrapped and would make a great gift to anyone (as a masturbation wand or as a massager for anyone). The box could also be emptied and used a a gift box for anything that will fit. It is sturdy enough to protect a very delicate item...even cookies!!!
