Diamante - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by Love Buzz

The Diamante is a 3 speed traditional vibrator designed for internal stimulation that also creates great surface vibrations that can be used to excite all of your erogenous zones. It's suited to both couples play and solo sessions alike. It is completely waterproof making it great for adding a little bit of extra relaxation to your bath time.

This toy works best for those who can accommodate larger sized toys comfortably, or who want to experiment with larger toys, especially as the material is very flexible making it difficult to harm yourself during use.

This is not intended for anal use, but due to the fair amount of flare experienced anal players may be able to enjoy this with some caution. However due to slightly porous nature of its material a condom should always be used.

I also wouldn't recommend it for travel due to it's plus size status.

The shaft on the Diamante is crafted from TPR whilst the small end cap/handle is Plastic. TPR has a rating of 7 on Eden Fantasys Material safety guide. It is body safe, hypo-allergenic, and free of Phthalates and latex. On the downside though it is slightly porous. This means that some bacteria may decide to cling on to it and breed. If you wish to share this toy with a partner a condom is required as you cannot sterilise it. There was no noticeable smell to it.

On the plus side, TPR is a lot like some jelly-like materials and shares some of its positive characteristics whilst being body safe. It is very flexible and on a toy sized and shaped like the Diamante it's an important quality to have. Its also quite soft and has a lot of give to it making it hard to hurt yourself despite its larger stature.

The surface texture is both smooth and slightly shiny, but at the same time it has a lightly 'tacky' kind of sensation of some other Jelly like materials. It doesn't feel like wet glue yet manages to attract every dust particle in the vicinity! Thus in my experience it needs to be washed both before & after use.

It creates some serious friction and measurable drag requiring more lube than I would normally use. Also note that it is compatible with water based & silicone lubes, however I always stick to water based as I'm yet to come across a toy that isn't compatible with it.

In the photos here on EF it looks like a hard black plastic with some goldish highlights, in reality its colour is quite hard to describe. It is see through so you can see the insides of the toy, but it does have darker tones, and I guess you could say it is an opaque blackish brown colour.

The Diamante is relatively unique in its look, size and shape. The shaft is opaque, revealing the inner workings of the toy, giving it quite a futuristic look (think retro 70's style futuristic)

Its thick, smooth tapered shaft creates a unique silhouette that the wanna be size queen in me was very attracted to.

The girth of the flaring shaft varies from 3.5" at the tip, to just over 5" an inch from the tip, with a maximum girth of just over 6" at its thickest point. The handle end is 4" around - which goes to show how thick the TPR is at the toys widest point. This certainly adds to the toys softness and flexibility.

The entire toy is 8" in length, with approx 6.5" insertable, the flared section of the shaft however is only 5" long before it cuts back in an inch or so above the handle.

I would strongly recommend you take a look at the 1:1 ratio Image of the diamante if you are at all concerned that it could be too big for your tastes.

Although some may not immediately pick it as a vibrator it certainly wouldn't take long for them to figure it out as its design isn't exactly discreet.

The Diamante is very easy to use with its single button control, located at the very end of the bottom tip of the handle. It is powered by 2 AA sized batteries which are inserted into their housing at the base of the toy.

This toy has three different levels of vibration which are easily cycled through by pressing the push button. One press turns it on to its low setting, a second click changes it to its medium level, a third click takes it to its highest vibration intensity whilst a fourth click switches it back off. It is super simple, but I do like toys that have an emergency "Caught in the Act" style shut off - even if it is to just hold the button down for 2 or 3 seconds, as they tend to take away a bit of the 'risk' factor for those of us who live in shared accommodation or have kids running about.

The vibration levels are low, medium, and above medium (not high or truly strong in my opinion), but I should mention that I do like toys with strong intense vibrations so it's vibration strength may be more than satisfactory for others

The vibrations travel well throughout the shaft and through to the tip as the motor is located at the mid point of the shaft. The vibrations are relatively strong, stronger than most basic vibes and in line with what I would expect from 2 AA batteries. It is nowhere near as strong as my Duo Obsessions Entice created by the same company (Evolved), but that toy does feature 2 motors.

I found that although the vibrations were strong enough, they were certainly surface vibrations.They weakened considerably when pressed against the flesh, and I found them to be more buzzy rather than rumbly. They were easily diffused and lost their intensity when used internally.

When it comes to sound levels it can't be heard through a closed door, and it may be audible through the bed covers, but it's definitely not a jack hammer! For those who do have flatmates or kids it would work well. Also it can't be heard over the shower or through bath water when submerged.

This toy is easy to clean with good old warm water and disinfecting soap or your favourite toy cleaner. You can safely immerse this toy fully as it is completely waterproof.

As it is somewhat porous, condoms should be used if you wish to share this toy or use it anally as it can't be fully sterilised. Both silicone and water based lubes can be used.

It is easy to store for as the tin it arrives in makes for perfect storage. If the tin is too large you could store it in a zip lock bag to keep dust & debris off of it.

Other than that, as with all battery powered toys it's a good idea to remove batteries in between uses to ensure their longevity.

It arrives in the rockin trademark Evolved metal tin packaging, for the Diamante Citron the box is a bright purple colour with some red accents and text. It is slightly larger than other evolved packaging I've seen at 10" long, 5"wide and around 2.5"deep.

Through a clear cut out in the plastic lid the product can be seen gently nestled in the velvety covered foam within. To add to the funky slightly punk aesthetic of the box, the lid is held in place by two silver coloured metal clips.

Both the sides and the back of the tin have information regarding the toy on them, which for me is fine but it isn't exactly discreet. However the metal box does arrive with a plain white cardboard sleeve which makes it slightly more discreet to start with and you could always keep the tin in the sleeve if you are worried it might be found.

When I went searching for my latest product to review I knew that I wanted something big, I may not be a size queen.. yet, but I do like toys of size. My Duo Obsessions Entice has very quickly become my go to toy for almost every occasion and I was looking for something to start leading me down the size queen path and I think that I've found it.

I doubt I'll ever be a huge fan of TPR, and I normally prefer much stronger vibrations in toys but I do still enjoy this toy... A lot. Its size and shape were exactly what I was after and I'm yet to find an Evolved product I don't love.
