Too Wild For Me!

If you already know that you like rabbit vibes, the Original Wild G could prove to be a great addition to your collection. It's got a variety of settings, a neat control pad, pretty material, and a very unique-looking clit attachment. Beginners and those used to smaller/quieter toys might want to avoid this, but someone who is not concerned about noise and who has less of a problem with larger sizes than I do will surely go wild for the Original Wild G!

Use

The Original Wild G is a waterproof, dual-action/rabbit style vibrator. The shaft is intended for vaginal insertion and g-spot stimulation. The clitoral arm, beginning right above the controls/base, contains three separate stimulators that decrease in size from the top down (they look a bit like the antennae of a bizarre insect creature). As with most vibes of this style, I don't really see how this could be used during intercourse/couple's play. It should definitely not be used anally because of the non-boilable material and because of the lack of curve in its shape. I was really looking forward to trying out the Wild G and was impressed by all its functions, but it proved to be just too much for me! More on that later.

Material / Texture

This toy is made out of TPE, a thermoplastic rubber polymer blend that rates a 6 on Eden's Safety Scale. According to the package, it is phthalate free. The control part is made of ABS plastic. For Cal Exotics vibes, this is a pretty standard material and good for beginners. TPE is slightly porous, so use a condom if you will be sharing. You can use water or silicone based lubricants - I personally used water based and had no issues with the material. I can't recommend that you use this anally because the material is not able to be boiled and because of the shape, as there's nothing really to hold on to if you wish to use it this way. The toy attracted a moderate amount of lint while out. The material is nice and shiny and I really love the built-in glitter dots. This is a very girly pink, though, and if I had had the choice, I would have preferred to get the toy in purple. If you like pink, you'll love this color!

The material of the toy is much firmer than jelly, but still is wiggly and smooth with moderate drag to it - you can actually pull and twist the TPE material (or "skin") away from the "spine" of the toy, but the toy itself is completely rigid: it can't be bent at all. The material is most flexible (but the pressure is still very firm) in the tip, probably to allow for a little manipulation when stimulating the G-spot. The little clit antennae are completely bendy but seem on the fragile side (like they could accidentally be ripped off if you are overzealous in trying to apply them to your clit). There is a very light plasticky odor, but this may be more to do with the packaging it arrived in than the toy itself.
    • Light odor
    • Rigid
    • Somewhat porous

Design / Shape / Size

The toy starts with the rather massive control base/handle, and about three inches up begins the clit arm (because of the way the little antennae are "layered," the clit attachment goes up about two inches total vertically). Above the clit attachment is about two inches of rotating beads (7 rows and 56 beads, according to the packaging). Finally, the last inch and a half or so of the toy is the slightly curved "head."

The Wild G is 10 inches in total length, 5 inches of which are insertable - in terms on my toy box, this is on the larger side. I'll go into this in further detail later, but the size of this toy is my main problem with it and why I'm walking (or limping) away an unsatisfied customer. This is an inch longer than my largest toy, the Rabbit Habit. The circumference of the two toys is the same, but where the Wild G really lost me was with the diameter: apparently the jump from the Rabbit Habit's diameter of 1 5/8" to Wild G's 2 inches was just too much for me to handle. Even with copious amounts of lube, I found this toy very painful to insert. Granted, I'm a petite person, but I could only insert it about three inches comfortably (again, even with copious amounts of lube) so the clit attachment was a good inch or so away from where it needed to be and no amount of manipulation on my part could get it on target. Unlike some of the other rabbits I've tried, I just could not find a way to only use the clit attachment without insertion, meaning I didn't get to experience what would probably be the best part of the toy (especially considering how unique the shape of the attachment is).

Functions / Performance / Controls

I was a little intimated by the control panel at first but, once you get the hang of it, it is actually extremely simple. The box boasts that it has "7 functions of vibration, pulsation, and escalation" and "6 speeds of independent rotation" and truly, the array of options here is impressive. The LED lights are also a nice touch, though what exactly they indicate is not always clear.

There is a dedicated on/off switch at the top of the control: this means you don't have to cycle through functions to turn off the toy and can shut it off quickly if necessary. When you turn the power back on, you start at the beginning of each function (it does not remember what setting you were on).

Underneath the power button is a button marked by a squiggly line: this is the button that controls the clit attachment. You press it once and you reach the first setting. Press it again and you change the setting.

Vibrating clit attachment settings and patterns with vrooms and bees:
1. Low Vibration. 2 bees, 2 vrooms
2. Medium Vibration. 3 bees, 3.5 vrooms
3. High Vibration. 3.5 bees, 4.5 vrooms
4. Escalating pattern. 3.5 bees. Starts at 2 vrooms, goes up to 3.5
5. Slow Pulsing pattern. 4 bees. 3 vrooms.
6. Faster Pulsing pattern. 4 bees. 3 vrooms.
7. "Fast, fast, slow" pulses. 4 bees, 4 vrooms

As you can see, it can get on the loud side. In my opinion, however, the power makes up for it (or would have made up for it, if I could have gotten the clit attachment where it needed to be)!

Underneath the modes button is a vertical row of small LED light indicator dots - these help you figure out what speed you are on. To the left of these is the button to increase speed, to the right is for decreasing speed. Rotation speeds:

1. Slowest rotation. 2 vrooms, 3 bees.
2. Faster rotation. 2.5 vrooms, 3.5 bees
3. Next level. 3 vrooms, 3 bees
4. Next. 3.5 vrooms, 3.5 bees
5. 5th speed feels identical to me as the 4th
6. Highest rotation. 3.5 vrooms, 4 bees

I'm really not impressed with the rotation function. For all the noise, you don't get much power and after the 4th speed they all start feeling the same to me. Plus, clenching down can really start to slow the beads (though they did not jam on me).

The vibrations in the shaft are really concentrated where the beads are, meaning you don't feel much in the head except the motion. The vibrations in the clit arm are pretty evenly distributed across the three antennae, but feels the most buzzy towards the bottom. Some of the pulsating modes for the clit attachment felt nice and rumbly but it is definitely a predominately buzzy vibe.

Overall, there seems to be more power and more pleasure to be gained from the clit attachment than the rotating beads in the shaft. This was bad news for me because I couldn't insert the toy far enough in for me to actually have it touch my clit but is good news for someone who can handle the size long enough to insert it fully.

On the lower settings, the toy could be heard in the same room (even when under a blanket) but not through a closed door. On the highest settings, the noise of the toy could be heard right outside the door but not in another part of the house. If you are concerned about housemates or roommates knowing what you're up to (as I am), then this might not be the toy for you.

Good news for thrusters - you will have plenty of length to work with here and the control pad provides a nice handle. Because the battery compartment opens from the handle ("the EZ-load battery pack"), you don't have to worry about it opening up.

This toy is advertised as being "totally waterproof" and I have no reason to doubt that. Because of my size issues, I just never felt the desire to try that out for myself.
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

The toy requires four AA batteries that are stored in the base. You turn the vibrator upside down, twist the top open, and pull out the battery pack. I actually had to tip over the toy and shake it in order to get the battery pack out but then you just put in the batteries, replace the battery pack into the handle, twist the cap back on, and you are done. Seems secure enough to me!

Cleaning the toy is a breeze: you can use soap and warm water or a toy cleaner. Because it's waterproof, you can wash without worry! Because of the way it is made (all the different components), it cannot be boiled or disinfected with anything other than soap/warm water or toy cleaner. The "seam" where the TPE meets the plastic handle might prove a bit of a dirt trap but nothing drastic.

You can store this toy with any and all materials without worry. Because of its sturdy, unyielding nature and bulk (it feels on the heavier end of the toy spectrum), you can't exactly hide it quickly in a hurry but should not pose too serious of a storage problem.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The toy comes in a see-through plastic shell with printed information as a background on both sides. The cut-out in the front shows you the toy itself and the back contains useful information about functions/materials/care.

I'd guess that anyone looking at the package would be able to figure out what it contained, based on the shape of the toy itself and the listing of features on the front (plus the title: "Triple Play Wild G"). The packaging is not obscene and would make giving this as a gift appropriate in a situation where'd you be comfortable giving someone what is clearly a vibrator. I plan on storing the toy in the plastic shell/case so long as it holds up. It seems reasonably sturdy, though not by any means indestructible.

Personal comments

This is definitely a toy for someone who knows and enjoys rabbit vibrators. I would caution beginners to penetration against trying this out, especially if you are not super comfortable with larger toys. Whether used by a couple in a foreplay situation or by a lady in her solo session, this is a more advanced level on the ladder of sex toys - at least higher than where I am at right now. It is still very basic in many ways (the rotation beads) but also has some nice surprises (the shape of the clit attachment, the variety of functions). The color and design make it cute and non-intimidating, but the size and loudness could turn off newbies. The noise level and overall lack of discretion makes me hesitate to recommend it for those living with others. In terms of travel, it could definitely be thrown into a suitcase, but is much too big for carrying around in a purse.

Experience

I wanted to love the Original Wild G, I really did. I thought that this would be a toy I'd go wild over (it had to be said), but the pain (literally) of insertion just ruined it for me. If the toy was smaller and a bit quieter, I think this might have been a perfect match.

If you're not as much of a baby as I am when it comes to size and don't mind the loudness on the higher levels, this might be your new favorite rabbit! It's not mind-blowingly powerful but certainly packs a punch, especially in the clit attachment. Overall, I'm giving this toy three stars because of the variety of functions and power on some of the levels. If it was quieter and actually fit my anatomy properly, it would easily be a four star rating.
Follow-up commentary
I made a half-hearted second attempt to try out this toy and it still is just too big for me to use comfortably! Frustrated, I gave it to a friend and she had the exact same problem. If you are a smaller lady/don't enjoy a lot of girth, AVOID this toy. Size queens, however, will rejoice!

Great review, i'm hesitating adding it to my wish list or not, i'm not a size queen but thinking this might just be worth a try with all the great functions.

Abrandt411- give it a try if the functions interest you! It's the same sort of gamble you take with any toy, really, that it might not fit your anatomy.

Thanks for the great review! I also have trouble with girth, especially if it's moving, but I was interested in the other features, so I'll be looking elsewhere.
