In a nutshell, the Bliss #8 asks… dare I say demands… that you kick back , enjoy, and explore everything the vibrator has to offer. And what’s on offer is nothing to sneeze at.

On paper, the Bliss #8 is a perfectly reasonable 1¾” in diameter. In practice, the Ophoria Bliss #8 feels much thicker. The vibrator’s ribbing is that pronounced.

That thickness brings with it both benefits and drawbacks. On the positive side, it is possible to feel the ribbing throughout the vaginal canal rather than simply at the entrance. What the width coupled with the ridging also means, however, is that there is quite a bit of friction that creates a very intense set of sensations. Whereas some might really enjoy that type of penetration, others may find repeated thrusting uncomfortable.

The Bliss #8's design allows for experimentation that other vibrators can't always match. The most common ways of using a traditional vibrator is either with a standard thrusting motion or by pressing and holding them up against the g-spot while massaging the clitoris. Because the Bliss #8’s ridges are so pronounced, it is also possible to simply press it up against the vaginal opening repeatedly without actually penetrating (think of it as putting your foot up against the door but not getting in). The sensation is terrific and that may also be a way of enjoying the width in moderation if full penetration creates too much stimulation.

Conveniently enough, the designers at Ophoria have created some great variety with the vibrations and the settings provide a wide enough range of sensations for most to find something to like. There are five different vibration modes: a light buzz, a medium buzz, a strong buzz, and two different pulsating settings. The highest setting is a strong constant buzz that is appropriate for g-spot and clitoral stimulation. The lowest setting is more like a light hum that could be a nice surprise when using the Bliss #8 for anal stimulation.

Taken alone, the vibrations or the penetration may not be enough to bring someone to orgasm. That certainly doesn't have to lessen the enjoyment of using the Bliss #8, but it should help calibrate expectations for the toy. It’s definitely fun on its own. If an orgasm is the ultimate goal, though, the Bliss #8 works best in tandem with something else – a partner, another vibrator, a dildo, etc.

The push button vibration control at the vibrator’s base is very responsive and changes settings with a slight touch. A longer touch shuts the vibrator off completely. Even if your hands are covered in lubricant (or whatever other fluids happen to be on the scene), gripping the vibrator itself or changing the vibration settings should not present the slightest challenge.

Speaking of which.

Because it is made from silicone, the Bliss #8 is compatible only with non-silicone lubricants. Although it’s non-porous, the manufacturers recommend that you use a condom with the toy if you decide to share it or use it for both anal and vaginal penetration. Clean-up is easy with soap and water or toy cleaner.

Officially, the Bliss #8 is splashproof vibrator but that is something that can be interpreted loosely. Using it in the shower might not be the best idea, but it is certainly capable of withstanding a quick dunk under running water when cleaning.
