The whole thing is powered by three AAA batteries that are pretty securely placed inside. Unlike some other bullets where the back of the controller falls off allowing the batteries to fall out, this one has a spot that says “push” which releases the batteries in a tray out of the bottom of the controller.

As long as you keep the batteries separate from the bullet when not in use care doesn't get much easier than this. Even though it's a velvety texture it is easily cleaned with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner of your choice. The controller is only splash proof, not waterproof, so a rag would be better than submerging it in any way. It's important that you take care so the cord doesn't get pinched or snagged in any way, or you could ruin it.

The packaging was as discreet as can be when only a layer of plastic sealing it in. They don't have any half naked girls on the packaging. Other than the name of the toy, it only had self advertisements of it, uses, and battery size required.
