MATERIAL ~ ODOR:

The Micro Orb bullet is made for California Exotics in China and consists of a plastic shell with a nylon cord. As with most plastic toys I have owned the Orb had no odor at all. It's food grade, hypo-allergenic, phthalates and latex free – making it one of the top safest materials with a rating of 8. Any lubricant can be used.

COLOR ~ TEXTURE ~ SHAPE:

Naturally I got my little Orb in the see through purple with a black cord. But Eden also sells it in pink and a white one can be found on some other sites. This nylon cord is gentle on skin – with no coarse edges to irritate. The bullet itself is completely smooth apart from the slightly raised ‘Made in China' and crossed out rubbish bin looking object on the battery cap end.

The rounded bullet shaped length is 2 ½” with a girth of 2 ¼”. On the end of the battery cap is a small plastic loop where the nylon cord threads through. The cord is a reasonable length of 4 ¾” and is perfect for placing around your hand to prevent dropping the bullet if fingers become slippery. The end features a black cap where the knotted nylon hides.

CONTROL:

The Orb couldn't be easier to operate. The battery cap has two indents that line up with the nubs on the inside of the other half of the bullet. These have to line up perfectly as one indent and nub is smaller than the other. This allows the two parts to slide together and with a slight twist (it's rather tight) the bullet starts on its only speed.

The steady vibration is more on the buzzy side, but not as bad as Whisper Micro Heated Bullet or Fairy Baby Wand. Although those two toys are also far more powerful. I class the vibrations of this one as medium, but I don't require anywhere near Wand power.

The unfortunate part to the Micro Orb is it runs off 1 X N size battery which is included. But on the plus side, this bullet will run on the same battery for what seems like forever. There are no directions (in/on the bullet) to show the way the battery goes. The + end slide into the main end of the Orb.

The information on the product page is a little on the faulty side when it comes to the battery and actual bullet size.

USE ~ NOISE:

The Micro Orb is not suitable for anal play. Even though the chance of the little plastic loop on the end breaking, I still personally won't take the risk. But one could use it to stimulate the anus as well as many other erogenous zones – such as nipples, clit, vaginal opening, vagina, nipples and scrotum. It's small enough that it can be used during intercourse or take it along on road trips to escape the boredom. If you like some vibrating fun in the shower or bath, this one is happy to oblige.
If you do use this in the bath make sure you turn it on before submerging it. Same when turning it off so it prevents breaking the seal and allowing water to enter the bullet.

For the small size this one knows how to create a reasonable amount of noise. I wouldn't recommend it if you share a bedroom with someone else – unless you have periods of alone time. It could be heard through a closed door, but not something that is overly obvious if someone was to pass by. A tv on medium or some music playing will easily drown out the sound.

CLEANING:

Thanks to the black o-ring seal on the battery cap this bullet is completely waterproof and super easy to clean. Wash it is anti-bacterial soap and water, toy cleaner or a wipe. I always carry anti-bacterial wipes so that clean up on the move is simple. Although it can't be boiled for sterilization due to the motor, a 10% bleach solution can be used. Just be sure to rinse afterwards to rid the Orb of any residue.

PACKAGING ~ STORAGE:

My Orb arrived in a clear plastic clam shell package with a chick on the front. She isn't naked, but the fact that you can see the toy clearly makes sure this one isn't discreet.

The packaging isn't really suitable for storage, but could be used short term. There's no pouch included. Being plastic it really can be stored anywhere without the risk of attracting lint or being damaged by other toys.
Experience
EXPERIENCE:

I keep this little guy in my handbag for some car fun for when I find myself sitting and waiting for whatever reason. It's small and powerful enough for me to get the job done quick and discreetly. Even though the bullet has its own little zip pocket in my bag, I don't like the battery being loose. I unscrew the cap just enough so that the toy stops vibrating and store it this way. It holds together, but it's not going to start playing by itself at any time. I've had this guy for a few years now and have never changed the battery. I did use it semi regularly when I first got it, but now that it lives in my handbag it doesn't get a hoard of usage and when I do use it, it's only for 5 – 6 minutes each time. I am surprised that it hasn't drained the battery at all. Although it's not turned on the battery still sits snug in the bullet and touching the ports on each end.

This one earns a rating of 4 stars.
Follow-up commentary
This little one still continues to be my favourite travel companion! It is always reliable and perfect when I'm looking for discretion.
I did try replacing the battery and found that the original was actually dying. But it still has enough juice in it to get the job done for me. Those who require quite a bit of power will want to change the battery more often than I do.
