The Tryst 4 is a traditional vibrator that can be used internally and externally for vaginal and perhaps anal, with a lot of vigilance that is.

It is a body safe toy that is ideal for anyone who enjoys light and titillating type of vibrations. The Tryst 4 is a great tool for foreplay, teasing and arousing and it can get some of the most sensitive people off, but it is a very light type of stimulator and will probably be more of a tease to most.

Both beginners and connoisseurs can enjoy the Tryst 4, provided that they enjoy the type of sensations the Tryst 4 provides.

The Tryst 4 is very elegant and simple; it is easy to hide in a purse for a little rendezvous exotique. Since it is a tease and it is somewhat quiet it can be used in the car to get you aroused for a night of passionate love making or you can keep it for the bed or shower, it is up to you.

The Tryst 4 is made of premium silicone, which is non-porous and is phthalates free as well as odorless. It has no taste either.

It is a lovely lilac purple color and it has a matte finish allowing lubricant to remain on it more easily compared to a shiny finished toy. It does have some grab to it and therefore it does require some lube, preferably water-based as silicone based can potentially degrade the beautiful texture of the silicone.

The texture of the silicone may add more friction in terms of the sensations it provides, if little lube is used. The amount of friction one enjoys can be adjusted by varying the quantity of lube used.

Silicone is a material that is best for beginners and advanced users. It is easy to care for and less scary compared to more potentially harming materials which contain phthalates or are porous.

The Tryst 4 has a very interesting design.

It is traditional so it is similar to most other vibes. What distinguishes it, however, are the 5 bands of ridges near the tip of the shaft. It is 7 inches in length with about 5 inches insertable. It has a diameter of 1 and 1/8 at the widest point and about 1 inch near the tip. It slightly tapers toward the tip, but it is a very light taper. This may be considered a small toy and it is a toy that can easily be enjoyed by the beginner or by an advanced user who prefers smaller toys.

The ridges seemed to be shaped to stimulate the g-spot, although the shaft itself doesn't have much of a curve to provide enough stimulation of the g-spot. The tip of the toy is slightly pointy and there is a seam that goes all the way around the length of the shaft of the toy, from one side of the battery casing to the other.

The battery casing is located at the end of the shaft, and it is different from the usual screw on/off type of casing. It is made of plastic and it is sort of shaped diagonally along the end of the toy. There is a slit at the tip of the casing with a little plastic piece that acts like a lever. You must pull on it to unlatch the cap. Once unlatched, you insert 2 AAA batteries. The o-ring that allows the toy to be waterproof is located in the cap surrounding the piece of metal that connects with the batteries once the cap is on the toy.

The controls or on the shaft of the toy, which is also different, from the usual traditional vibe.

This toy is easy enough to hide in a purse or in really large pockets. It could be discreet enough for travel if carried in a suitcase.

The Tryst 4 has the following 7 functions:
-low, medium, high
-escalation from low to high
-slow pulse
-quick pulse
-three pulses, one long pulse

The patterns run on high, except for the first which escalates from low to high. It is pretty quiet, reminiscent of the vibrations of a cell phone.

The strength of the vibrations are moderate, they are weaker than the vibrations of the Siri. They are pretty much lower than all the vibes I currently own except for N powered bullet vibes.

The vibrations are located at the end of the shaft nearest the tip but not exactly in the tip, slightly before the tip. The vibrations or closer to the buzzy end of the thuddy versus buzzy scale.

The controls are located near the base of the toy, on the shaft itself. The buttons aren't difficult to press but they are hard enough to make it difficult to switch the strength by accident during use. The two buttons (power and vibrations control) are lit by a red light. It isn't as vibrant as the blue LED light California Exotics have been using in their other vibes, which is a plus. However, some may be misled to believe that their batteries are low (which is what a red light usually indicates), which is not the case.

To scroll through the different settings you simply have to push the vibration pattern to cycle through. At any point during use the toy can be conveniently turned off with the power button. Once you turn it back on it will return to the low setting.

The Tryst 4 CANNOT be submerged under water! Water will get into the battery cap. At most one could say the toy is splash proof. As soon as I submerged it I saw bubbles of air making their way out of the battery casing, meaning that water had to have gotten in for air to escape this way.

Since it is made of silicone it can be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution, for those who like their toys extra clean. A simple spray of toy cleaner will also do the trick. It is really easy to wash but again, don't submerge it while you wash it.

If you have a storage pouch to keep the Tryst 4 in I highly recommend you keep it in such a pouch. The toy gets dusty, hairy, etc rather quickly when left out. It could also be kept in a toy box without a toy pouch. I recommend a quick rinse/wash before use to remove any unwanted particles.

The toy could also be kept in the plastic shell casing it came in, to each his own.

I was really demanding of the Tryst 4. I wanted it to make me come all on its lonesome which is hard enough for most brave vibes to do. It succeeded.

For the ladies who prefer a wider surface area of the genitalia being stimulated, rubbing the ridges up and down along the labia does wonders arousing those sensitive tissues.

For the ladies who prefer more pinpoint stimulation, using the tip to rub the clit also works really well at getting the nerve endings fired up. The tip is sort of like a little hook and it expertly makes its way around the clitoris, sort of cradling it as it moves over and around the clit as you make circles and semi-circles.

For those who enjoy g-spot stimulation, such as myself, the shaft may not be curved enough for the slight ridges to provide decent stimulation. The shaft is slightly flexible also so it reduces the amount of pressure that can be applied to the g-spot.

The Tryst 4 is best for shallow penetration as it isn't very long and its pointy tip could be annoying or even painful for some whose cervix is most sensitive due to the pointy-ish tip of the toy.

It got me off, eventually. It took a lot of time to get me to orgasm and I had to fantasize pretty intensely to get my mind somewhere where the slightest vibrations could get me aroused enough to bring me to orgasm.

If you like foreplay to last forever then you will enjoy this toy. The Tryst is very much of a tease. It gets you very aroused but to get you to orgasm it lacks power to do it quickly if that's what you are looking for. The Tryst 4 is meant to be slowly enjoyed like a port wine.

It isn't my favorite toy and I don't know when I will use it again. I am giving it a 4 star rating because it is made with a great quality material, I remove one star for the waterproof-ness not being really that waterproof.
