Ultra groovy sex toy review
Ultra Groovy Vibe looks awesome, but doesn't quite live up to the image. The rotating shaft and vibrating stimulator are the key elements to this toy but even then I find the material too soft and the clit stimulator to not really do its job.Published: June 24, 2008
Pros:
Cool-looking, multiple speeds, gyrating upper shaft, lightweight, quiet.
Cons:
Ridges cut awkwardly, clit stimulator too soft, clit stimulator doesn't hit clit, lightweight.
The Ultra Groovy Vibrator, although groovy-looking, did not give me the ultra erotic sensations that I was hoping for. It looks awesome, with its teal base and rigid shaft. The clit stimulator appears to be some sort of bug, or maybe a bird with two little feelers that vibrate and tickle the aforementioned clitoris. The vibrator itself is light, and almost feels like it might fall apart in one's hands.
This was my first experience with Elastomer, which is what the Vibe is made from, and for my liking it is almost too soft. Even though the shaft has multiple ridges and valleys they almost feel more awkward then pleasurable. The head of the shaft also rotates, which is really the winning aspect to the model, because when the vibrations seem not to get the right spot, or the shaft seems to short, the rotating head is at least moving and hitting a few of the right notes. The strange little clit vibrator with its feelers does have multiple levels of vibrations but I personally didn't find much difference between them, they do feel good though, and did certainly get me off. It does seem to be placed in sort of a weird spot, as if it could have been moved down a 1/2 inch and had the feelers turned up instead of sideways. I compared it to another vibrator and it does seem that the Vibe's clit stimulator is much more horizontal then vertical, which doesn't seem to work quite as well when aiming for the clitoris.
My overall opinion is that, although looking really cool, the the Ultra Groovy Vibe could use a little tune-ups. I like the material to be a bit firmer and with smoother ridges, and the clit stimulator could be rotated just a bit so it actually hits the clit. For people who are more familiar with the material, maybe this is the perfect toy, but for me, not so much. It got the job done but not with five stars.

Do you think that it takes away from a toy if it's light weight?
-
Do you think that the heaviness has a lot to do with the pleasure provided, or not?

Depends on the toy. Vibrators have mechanical parts, so once it gets lighter than a certain amount you know they're scrimping on the mechanism or it uses small batteries, but in most cases it's a matter of design rather than weight.
Note that hollow (air-filled rather than toys with a structure inside) toys usually don't work well.

Thank you for viewing Ultra groovy – rabbit vibrator review page!

How's the battery power- does this toy have that typical rabbit vive problem of losing strength in either vibration or shaft rotation when the other one is upped?
I have to agree that this toy is very pleasing looking, too bad its performance didn't match it's looks.
It took me some time to get used to a shaft with screw-like ridges, but once I did I really grew to like them. Still, for the price, if the clit stimulator isn't effective, you can probably do better. Good review.
Too bad it's lightweight. I like the heaviness that toys are equipped with.
Good review, thanks!!
