Unleash the Beast

Wireless toys can be hit or miss. BSwish has designed an attractive wireless bullet that works relatively well. While this design has landed firmly on the target, there are still several kinks to work out and that prevents BNaughty Unleashed from reaching its fully potential.

Use

The original BNaughty was my first toy for review and my first bullet vibrator as well. I was impressed by its design and power and it is with the BNaughty that all other bullets must compete. I thought it fitting that I would try the recent addition to the line and see whether or not it is truly "unleashed."

Like the original, Bnaughty Unleashed is perfect for clitoral or nipple stimulation. The addition of a looped cord makes it safe for some vaginal penetration; however, the size and shape may not hit everyone's hot spots. Despite the loop, I would advise against anal play. Better safe than sorry, right?

Of course, because it is wireless, the Bnaughty Unleashed can add a little extra to your partner play. Hand the remote off to someone else and you're in for an interesting time.

Material / Texture

Both the bullet itself and the remote are plastic treated in a way to give it a silky smooth feeling. It gives a soft feeling to the BNaughty even though it's rigid and might require a bit more lube than a purely smooth toy.

My experience with plastic is that it can retain smells it comes in contact with; however, both parts were odor-free, right out of the box.

Design / Shape / Size

Design-wise, Bnaughty Unleashed is right on target. The bullet itself is jumbo sized, which makes it too big to "wear" under most normal clothing; however, it sits comfortably between my labia, in my panties, when I needn't worry about being caught. The bullet itself is just under 3.5" long with a diameter of 1.35"--significantly bigger than other egg and bullet vibrators. The shape is more like an actually bullet, too, cylindrical with one end blunt and the other tapering to a soft point. Attached to the blunt end is a black looped cord, maybe of what I believe to be plastic.

The bullet itself takes batteries and the tapered end unscrews and slides out to insert them (3 N sized, included). There is a thin O-ring to make this toy water resistant. Beware that the O-ring is loose and can be manually removed; however, I wouldn't expect it to ever come off accidentally.

The position of the O-ring causes a visible seam in the toy, when it's secured. It's quite easy to feel with the fingers; although, I did not feel it in use. I would expect the seam to collect gunk, of course, so be vigilant when washing.

The product description only lists "brown" as an option but mine is (I believe) Paprika. It's a much darker and more purple red than in the product image. I'd call it "raspberry" and actually prefer that it's not as light as in the images.

The remote is slightly wider and longer than the bullet, in a roughly rectangular shape. It's easy recognizable as a remote.

Functions / Performance / Controls

BNaughty Unleashed is quite easy to use. The remote features a backlit screen that is rather basic (think an alarm clock, not a smart phone) and two buttons-1 to power on/off the toy and another to cycle through the modes (of which there are 10). I would not mind two buttons to cycle backward or forward through the settings but it's not a "make or break" complaint. The button that cycles is significantly larger, which makes it easy to differentiate between the two. It's unlikely that you'll accidentally shut this off even though the buttons themselves are not lit.

Every setting has a unique animation that displays on the screen so the person controlling the bullet knows what setting it is on. I find this super helpful and the animations are fairly explanatory when it comes to the settings. The animations do not occur at exactly the same speed as the actual functions, of course.

If you're a fan of pulsation and escalation, BNaughty has it all. I didn't particularly love any of those settings, however. If you're a fan of power, BNaughty Unleashed isn't all that impressive. It's significantly weaker than the original BNaughty--a common complaint with the newer versions. I would personally prefer if this bullet used 2 AAs. The current size certainly makes it possible to change the power source.

The result of this output isn't extremely loud (but I'll touch more on that later).

The plastic loop at the end of the toy makes it safe for vaginal insertion but you might find the particular shape and size to be a little difficult to maneuver; I did. It just seems too short and stout for adequate internal stimulation.

Even if I didn't need a lot of power, the battery output leaves a lot to be desired. I used BNaughty Unleashed once--1 time!--and the batteries were dead the next time I took it out. I would say I used it for 30 minutes at the most, probably more like 15 - 20, before it died. That's pretty ridiculous. I'm not going to replace 3 N batteries every time I want to use a vibrator.

To add to the frustration, the remote uses an even more unique battery size: a 23A. If BSwish hadn't provided the batteries with this toy, I would have sent it back. To design a toy to use 2, unique types of batteries is ludicrous.

Care and Maintenance

Because it is waterproof, cleaning of this bullet vibe is easy. The silky plastic also does not attract plastic, which I love! Feel free to use your BNaughty Unleashed with any water or silicone based lubricant and you can toss it in a drawer without worrying that it will react or melt.

Packaging

BSwish packages all their toys in sleek, minimalistic boxes that seem classy enough to sell an iPod. There is a slightly erotic image of a woman in lingerie on the front of the box but it's not overt like some packaging. The box does take up quite a bit more room than the toy and remote itself so I'd suggest storing the bullet and remote in the soft, cloth pouch that is provided-not the box itself.

The included instructions are fairly generic; I believe I've got the same pamphlet from several BSwish toys. Luckily, using BNaughty Unleashes is not difficult.

Personal comments

Unfortunately, I was surprised by dead batteries after only 1 use and have zero inclination to replace them if this toy is going to be such a battery hog. This means I didn't get to spend as much time with the BNaughty Unleashed as I would have liked. If I am particularly vague about issues such as sound and the reaching distance of the remote, I apologize.

I used BNaughty Unleashed solo the first time and it worked well with the remote held at arms length; although, sometimes I seemed to need to hit the button repeatedly to switch settings. As you can expect, the remote will work less efficiently at a longer range and when there are more objects between it and the bullet. The generic manual does not touch on what you should expect from the range. I read another review that said it can work up to 20'(on fresh batteries). Your mileage may vary.

I do not particularly recall the BNaughty Unleashed being loud or quiet. It fell into what I consider "acceptable and forgettable" range.

Batties? lol Did you have to abbreviate in order to fit in all the cons? I almost always have to edit that section. I'm glad you re-reviewed this. I didn't know how accurate the first one was because I guess I had higher expectations .

I'm seriously loving remote controlled bullets, but the batteries need to not die so quickly . Too bad this one doesn't have more power as well.

    Great review!
