French Kiss - traditional vibrator by Evolved Novelties - review by ~LaUr3n~

Evolved Novelties has awesome products. I have quite the collection and this is the first that I have not been greatly thrilled with one of their toys. While a great and fun shape, the French Kiss seems to have some wiring problems that cause it to not work correctly 100% of the time. This may be due to my vaginal canal being too tight for this toy, for this reason I don't recommend it to women with similar anatomy. It is made of soft TPR and is completely water proof. The multi-speed motor is very powerful on the highest level and can get loud. This may look lovely for anal, or at least I thought so, but I cannot recommend anal play with this toy due to the lack of flared bare.

The French Kiss is made of TPR which is thermoplastic rubber. It is phthalate and latex free, and also hypo-allergenic. I got the blue one and you can see through it. It really is a nice material because straight out of the package it is silky smooth and doesn't have much drag. Because of the large size, I recommend using lubricant. Initially the material does have a slight chemical smell that did decrease with time and washing. The material is also pliable but not sticky, it bends and flexes easily since the core is solid TPR and the tip is where the bullet is located. It collects an average amount of hair and dust, so be sure to rinse before use.

NOTE: It cannot be sanitized, so be sure to use a condom if you are sharing.

The French Kiss has a delicious bulbed shaft that increases in size with each bulb-5 total. The smallest is a good start for insertion. The largest is fairly considerable at 5 1/2" in circumference and 1 3/4" diameter. The total length of the vibrator is 8 1/4" but only 6 1/2 is insertable. The last bulb is likely not to be used, I used the first three the majority of time. The long length makes it very easy to bend. There is a huge bullet in the last third of the toy which also makes it easier, but makes the head harder than the rest. The large size is good for penetration and those who like a full feeling may find it with this vibrator. The end of the vibrator is rounded and houses the battery compartment and control unit.

This toy is not discreet at all. Not only is it large and obviously shaped, but the bright blue color can't go unnoticed. It isn't great for travel either unless you can room for its case too. This toy is not well designed for safe anal play, due to the end being round and there is not enough of indented base to keep it from slipping entirely in.

The controls could not be easier to use. There is one button at the end of the rounded base. Push it and it turns on the lowest of three levels. Even on the lowest, the vibrations are average, but not very loud. Press it again, and the vibration increases considerably and so does the noise. I consider this vibration level to be high and probably adequate or more than adequate for the average user. If you like really strong vibrations, press once more and you're wish will be granted. The last level is intense and really shows the power of the large bullet. It is really loud on this level though and could be heard through a door even with it inside the body. Press the button and the toy shuts off.

The vibrations on all levels could be felt most strongly in the last 1/3 of the toy and most of the shaft. On the last level, the vibrations travel all the way through the base. This is some major power! The 1st vibration was great for warm up on my clitoris, but I prefer the middle level for vaginal insertion. I could not handle the last level of vibration on my clit, it was far too intense and hurt. So, there is something for everyone. The bulbs of the shaft felt awesome when thrusted and adding the vibration was enough g-spot stimulation but not enough to have a g-spot orgasm. The shaft is so flexible that if I only inserted it a little past the third bulb, I could bend the remaining part up to make the vibrations travel to my clit.

So where was the problem? When I turned on the toy and inserted it, the vibration would stop but resume if I took it out. I think my tight cavity constricted and caused things to disconnect. If I inserted the toy all the way and turned it on, the vibrations would stay on. It was only when I would be pushing the toy inside that they would turn off and then sometimes turn back on once fully inserted. This made for a really annoying experience. Because of this I didn't use vibration for thrusting. The toy is also waterproof. It worked well in the shower, and this is where I used it most often because of the noise.

To use this toy it requires two AA batteries. The bottom unscrews and the batteries slide in. You can use silicone or water based lubes with this toy. To clean, just use soap and warm water because it cannot be sterilized. The best way to store this toy is in the gorgeous tin package it comes in.

Evolved has some gorgeous packaging that is great for gift giving. The French Kiss comes in a cool metal tin with plastic top that allows you to see in. There is some art detailing along the sides and top which make it even more appealing. Since the package is so sturdy, it will safely house your toy for as long as you have it. I give this toy a regretful 3 stars. The design of the vibration wiring is flawed and can stop working, for an unknown reason. The shape is great though, so it isn't a total loss without the vibration. If it does work, the three levels have something for everyone. It is nice that the toy is waterproof and comes with such a gorgeous tin. I hope they make one of these with better wiring and a flared base to use anally, but for now this puppy won't be eating any of my batteries.
