Va Va Vroom! The Jopen Vanity Vr4.5 is a well-made and beautiful toy. Made of high grade and very flexible silicone, its powerful and whisper quiet motors will be a wonderful addition to anyone’s toy box. This toy is flexible enough to fit most anatomies, so the normal concern about a rabbit’s functionality virtually disappears. This is a fantastic toy and would be a great first rabbit for anyone, but would also be perfect for the user who already knows they enjoy rabbits.
It is extremely flexible and has two motors. It delivers deep, rumbly, powerful vibrations while remaining virtually silent. This is a toy that can be used by anyone and in any situation.
The silicone Jopen uses is velvety and has a fair bit of drag. It attracts a bit of lint and hair, so you may choose to rinse it before using it each time. It will definitely require some lubricant due to the velvety texture of the material.
The 4.5 is completely smooth and virtually seamless. It has an imperceptible ridge right up the middle, but it isn’t felt during use.
Total length: 7.25”
Insertable length: 4” max
Handle length: 2.5”
Shaft below g-spot bulb
Total Length: 2.75”
Bulb Length: 1.75”
Nub Length: 1”
Nub Width: 0.63" (5/8")
There is a motor in each arm of the Vr4.5 and each is controlled with its own push button on the handle. The upper button controls the g-spot motor and the lower button controls the clitoral stimulator.
The bulbs in the handle, clit arm, and body of this toy are completely rigid and hard. The rest of the Vr4.5 is extremely flexible, which can be a pro or a con depending on what you prefer in a toy. The flexibility in the shaft and the clit arm will allow it to comfortably fit a variety of anatomies, so that is a pro. If you are a user who really likes to apply firm pressure to your g-spot or clitoris, the flexibility of this toy will not allow that, so that is a con.
The design of the clit arm allows for two main types of stimulation. The nub of the toy can be used on the clit to flap and slap rapidly, or the bulb of the clit arm can be used on the clit to provide normal vibrations.
The small, non-phallic design of this toy will appeal to many users, and makes it easy to use and store. The Vr4.5 uses the same Power Bullet technology that Jopen uses in their entire line of Vanity toys. They create some serious power, especially considering their size.
Rabbit vibrators and anatomy
This is always such a difficult area to navigate. Everyone’s anatomy is different, and no one wants to buy a rabbit style toy that won’t work with their anatomy, but how can you know for sure before trying it? Well, it’s tough. However, there is a great thread in the forums here on Eden about measuring the distance between the urethra and the clitoris. Using this measurement can help you figure out which style of rabbits will work best for your anatomy.
I measure in about 35-40mm. I generally find that rabbits with a long clit stimulator (in comparison to the insertable portion of the toy) work better for me. Toys like the Passion Wave Stimulator and the Ina fit my anatomy perfectly. I do not have good success with toys that have a short clit stimulator like the Serenity or the Spellbound Stud Double Jack.
One of the things I like so much about the Jopen Vanity Vr4.5 is that its flexibility will allow it fit women whose measurement is smaller or larger than mine. While inserted, you can bend the toy up or down so that the clit stimulator will reach you, giving it the ability to work for all sorts of anatomies, unlike many other rabbit style vibrators.
With no real defined settings, you can simply hold and press the button until you find your desired power level. The vibrations range from:
Lowest setting: 2 vrooms, 1 bee (comparable to MiMi on level 2, but much rumblier)
Middle setting: 3 vrooms, 2 bees (comparable to MiMi on level 3, but much rumblier)
Highest setting: 4.5 vrooms, 2 bees (comparable to MiMi on level 5, but much rumblier)
Lowest setting: 1 vroom, 1 bee (comparable to MiMi on level 1)
Middle setting: 2 vrooms, 1 bee (comparable to MiMi on level 2)
Highest setting: 4 vrooms, 2 bees (comparable to MiMi on level 4)
The two control buttons are located on the handle. They work the same way all the controls work in the entire line of Vanity by Jopen toys. Press and hold the button to turn it on and to turn the power up. To turn the toy off, press and release the button quickly. You cannot scroll back down through the power settings, so if you go too high just turn the toy off and start from the beginning again.
This toy also has a very convenient locking mechanism. Press and hold both buttons for about 3 seconds to lock the toy. You will know the toy has been locked because the light on both buttons will go out. To unlock it, press and hold both buttons for about 4 seconds. You will know the toy is unlocked again when both buttons light back up.
The location of the controls is extremely convenient; unfortunately they are also fairly easy to bump during use. The other downside is that if you just accidentally bump the controls briefly, it turns the toy completely off. I have yet to use this toy without accidentally turning it off at least once. Is it frustrating? Yes. Is it enough to make me dislike the toy? Definitely NOT!
The Vr4.5 is rechargeable, as are all the toys in the Vanity line. It took approximately ¬3.5 hours to completely charge the toy after the battery was drained completely, and that charge lasted for about 1 hour 15 minutes of continuous use with both motors on medium speed. The toy does heat up with extended use, but not to the point of being dangerous or uncomfortable. As the battery drains, there is only a drop in power just before the battery actually dies. The Vr4.5 cannot be used while it is charging.
Much to my relief, the charger on this toy is NOT magnetic! It’s a 0.75” long slender plug that you insert into a small hole at the tip of the toy’s handle. The first time I plugged it in to charge it I felt like I had to keep inserting the plug forever. It’s a great design though, because you don’t have to hassle with wonky magnetic chargers and the charging port is self-sealing, allowing the toy to be completely waterproof! That makes bath time play possible, and makes washing it up much easier.
Silicone toys like this one can safely be used with water- or oil-based lubricants. Silicone-based and hybrid lubricants should be avoided. If you have a silicone-based or hybrid lubricant you must use, be sure to do a small spot test on the handle first to check for a reaction.
The Vr 4.5 can safely be washed with soap and warm water, or you can use toy cleaner or wipes if you prefer. To sanitize your 4.5 you can soak it in a dilute bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) and then give it a thorough rinsing. You should not boil this toy nor run it through the dishwasher, because the heat can damage the motors.
Jopen offers a 1 year warranty, with an optional 10 year warranty, on their Vanity line. To register your toy for this warranty, simply visit Jopen’s website: http://www.vibetronics.com/jopen/ If your toy suffers a mechanical failure within 1 year of the purchase date, you can request a replacement through the same website.
The flexible shaft of the 4.5 can make thrusting difficult at times. I found a way around that issue though. An effective way of using the 4.5 for thrusting is to actually pull it out rather than push it in. Pulling the toy out just a bit and then allowing it to slide back in will give you a similar sensation to thrusting.
One of my favorite ways to use the 4.5 is to roll it left and right once inserted. This way you again get a similar sensation to thrusting in the clit stimulator, because you get the stimulation sometimes and then a brief break, just like you do with a rabbit you’re thrusting with.
Rocking the Vr4.5 up and down is another great way to use it. This would be a good strategy for women of all anatomies, because it allows the clit stimulator to move up and down over the entire length of the clit; both the external and the hidden internal parts of it.
My only issue with this toy is that I wish the handle were just a bit longer. It’s so short that it can be difficult to hold onto the toy and maneuver it during use without accidentally bumping the controls.
