Vanity Vr4.5 - dual motor rabbit vibrator discontinued by Jopen - review by chicmichiw

The Vr 4.5 is a luxury, abstract, pink-purple, silicone rabbit designed for female-bodied people who crave strong vibrations, both internal and external. And it delivers.

Vr 4.5 delivers on so many levels. It's attractive, body-safe, big enough to please but small enough to conceal or travel and it feels good. I've never stated the obvious (that a sex toy feels good) in any of my other reviews, because I never felt this good.



Nobody here but us rabbits:
This rabbit really functions only as a rabbit: there are no surprises as to its use or creative new ways to use it. To me, the 4.5 is meant for: clitoral and internal stimulation. Though the vaginal arm is not curved, the generous bulb may be enough to stimulate some G-spots simply by flexing around it. Like many rabbits, it's very satisfying to be given to a partner to use on you!

Or an anal toy:
For those who feel left out, the Vr 4.5 could function as an anal toy, since the clitoral arm will act as a block. Between the long arm's vibrations and the clitoral arm turned perineum stimulator, this probably 4.5's only other use.

The Jopen Vr 4.5 is very much like the 6.5 in that it's 100% silicone, waterproof, that signature shade of electric pink-purple and totally smooth. The only 'texture' that you feel is the feeling of the rolling, organic curves that also make it such an attractive, abstract shape to look at (can you tell I love it?)

First impressions -- this feels like good silicone; it's entirely matte, very rich in color and feels slightly draggy. It has no taste, but it does have a very slight 'new car' smell to it fresh out of the box. After one wash, this smell diminishes, and after multiple washes, it's totally gone. I actually associate that smell with silicone toys, so it's a good smell to me.

The entire toy has a lateral seam, much like the Leaf toys, but more hidden. You can't feel it in use and I don't consider it unsightly (like some do for the Leaf line).



The silicone is actually a bit more cushion-y at the tips than the Vr 6.5. The very tip of the vaginal arm (the long arm) can be pinched between the fingers. Personally, this tip reminds me somewhat of the Zini Zook's tip and is also ideal for cervical stimulation, if that's your game. If you run your fingers over the silicone, it can get quite statick-y.

The 4.5 surprised me with its level of flexibility. If you pick it up, the vaginal arm bounces a little though you're not touching it directly. The vaginal arm is so flexible, you can make it bend 90 degrees forward or backward and about 15 side-to-side. In the picture, I'm not nearly bending it as far as it can go.




The clit arm, by contrast, feels surprisingly stiff and bends in only one direction -- back, away from the body as you're inserting the vaginal arm. Of course, this is only the direction it needs to bend, so everything's just as it should be.

So I've talked a little about the flexibility -- despite the incredibly bend of the vaginal arm, the entire arm is rigid, so insertion is easy. Combine this with the tapered tip and 4.5 is aiming to please you. The bulb provides a fairly girthy sensation. I happen to love that feeling of girth, but it does require some preparation. Both these features, the tip and the girth, remind me of two other toys: the Zook and the 6.5



Since Jopen and Leaf are made by the same parent company in a kind of convoluted way, I've included the rabbit of the Leaf line here for comparison as well.

While the length is not amazing, it should be enough to reach most G-spots; and the shaft is flexible enough to position the toy to stimulate it. If you prefer more passive simulation, the 4.5 will offer a filling sensation that should be satisfying upon flexing your Kegel muscles.

The clitoral arm is the magic part of the Vr 4.5 . At the lower levels of vibration, it vibrates back and forth just like a flicking tongue. Since it's a silicone extension of the body of the toy with a power bullet directly behind it, it transmits vibrations extraordinarily well. At the highest level, the 'tongue' is unbearable! Ladies who need a lot of power? The Vr 4.5 is no slouch.



In terms of discretion, this is a pretty odd looking toy, but probably the oddness is the tip-off for 'sex toy!' However, Jopen has included a travel pouch that's generous enough to include the charger and a travel lock option.

The Jopen Vr 4.5 acts just like the Lux toys and the Leaf line -- read the instructions to disengage the travel lock: click 3 times fast to disengage or 3 time fast to re-engage. Click and hold to turn on; then click and hold the button to reach higher power levels. The button will flash or blink to let you know you've reached a higher level. If you click and hold continuously, the button will flash until it goes steady -- then you've reached the highest power possible.

No Patterns:
Keep in mind that Jopens, like Leaf and Lux toys, do not offer vibration patterns. This is right up my alley, as I enjoy steady vibrations that drive me straight to orgasm. For those who enjoy pulses, playing around with partners or teasing play, the Vr 4.5 will not offer any of these functions.





The top button controls the vaginal arm; the bottom controls the clit arm. An additional LED light is located in the back to let you know when the toy is charging. This light should glow a steady red; when the toy is fully charged, the light will turn off.

The Water Test:
The most important question you're asking -- how strong is it?

I conduct water tests on all my toys to visualize how strong they are. I place toys, while vibrating, into a shallow basin of water and watch the ripples they generate. Buzzy, high-frequency toys will create small ripples; deep, rumbly toys will create large ripples. Strong toys in general will show a lot of water movement, which looks really impressive. The Vr 4.5 is no exception -- these aren't very good pictures of exactly how strong this toy is because I was getting water everywhere. This is Salsa strong -- you heard me.

Battery and Recharging Time:
The Vr 4.5 lasts for about 4 hours, depending on how high you set the vibrations -- I find, though I need strong vibrations, that I can't take the highest settings. This should be good news for those who constantly find their vibes under-powered. What I like best about a strong, quality toy like the 4.5 is that I can start with the lower settings to tease myself, then work up, naturally, to the higher settings. On weak toys, I find that I have to jump to the highest setting, then hope I can tumble over the edge with some rubbing which is technically stimulation that the toy doesn't really provide.

The Jopen Vr 4.5 is totally waterproof. I love this feature in a toy, as it makes me 100% confident that I can adequately clean and care for a toy that I paid a considerable sum for -- the Vr 4.5 can be totally immersed for a soap and warm water cleaning, which usually does the job; or, you could use a 10% bleach solution to truly eradicate odor or conduct a thorough cleansing before sharing the 4.5 with a friend. Keep in mind that since the 4.5 has motorized parts, you cannot boil it, throw it in the dishwasher or microwave. These methods of cleansing will damage your toy.

As with all my 100% silicone toys, I use a thick water-based lube (Sliquid organics gel, if you want to know!). Water-based lubes are your best bet for a toy like this. Oil-based lubricants are not recommended if you want to use condoms sometime during the same encounter, as oil will degrade condoms very quickly.

The packaging for Jopen is usually not well regarded, though I personally rather like it. I would say that Lux, Leaf or Lelo all have better packaging, however. Certainly, the white stiff paper boxes are adequate. fairly discreet storage options for your Jopens.
