Vanity Vr8 - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Jopen - review by unfulfilled

The Vanity Vr8 by Jopen is a luxury internal vibrator that is double sided, rechargeable, 100% waterproof silicone toy with dual motors designed for the ultimate experience. According to their pamplet, it is ergonomically designed for the natural contours of a woman. My interpretation of this is that it has a curve to it that has the potential of hitting womens g-spots, but the results will vary depending on ones anatomy.

The Vanity Vr8 is such a versatile toy that it is a wonderful vibrator for beginners to advanced users alike. You can insert one end and have the other end nestle your clit for simultaneous stimulation. You can use it to gently tease and stimulate whatever erogenous zone that you prefer. It can be used solo or during couples play. No matter what you do, the Vr8 is a nice toy to experience.

It does not have a flared base so I would not recommend using it anally.

The Jopen VR8 is made out of silicone whis is a 10 on the safety scale. It is made of food grade material and is considered to be non-porous, hypoallergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. It also maintains-retains body heat well and can be easily sanitized. The silicone has some to drag to it, but that can be easily fixed with some lubricant.

There is a small vertical seam that runs down the toy, but can't be felt while in use. The silicone is very smooth, soft, velvety, and does not have any additional texture to it. It is best for those who enjoy smooth toys and is not for those who like bumps, grooves, and texture to their toys. The middle is flexible but both ends do not have any give to them because that's where the motors are located.



It does not have any smell to it which is fantastic.

The VR8 is 8" long and is 3 3/4" around at the tip, 4" at the head, 2 1/2" in the midddle, 4 1/2" around at the first button, 4 3/4" around at the second button, 5" around underneath the button, and 4 1/2" at the bottom. These measurements are taken by holding the smaller end up and the larger end closer to your body. It is a little bit longer than the length of my hand.



The smaller bulbous end is smaller than Uma, but the larger rounded end is thicker than Uma. I really like the shape of the VR8, especially that it has two varying sizes on the ends for those who appreciate thin and thicker toys. I think that beginners and advanced users can appreciate that aspect of this toy. I personally prefer thinner toys, but have been known to buy thicker toys on occasion. It is very easy to travel with and even has a travel lock feature so it won't accidentally turn on during use. To unlock, hold both buttons simultaneously for four seconds. To lock, repeat this process.

It is not exactly discreet since the smaller end does have a bulbous head so if discretion is important to you, I would make sure this is hidden before company comes over.

It has independent push button controls for the motors that are located on the top of the toy. If you're holding the small end up, the top button controls the small end and the bottom button controls the large end. To use the VR8 is very simple, press to turn it on and continue holding to go through the levels of vibration. To turn it off press again. At first, I was pressing the buttons because that's how all of my other toys are operated to cycle through the levels of vibration, but with this toy you continuously hold the button down until you reach the highest setting.



It does not have any patterns of any kind which I think is fantastic because I've never cared for patterns in my toys.

There is a red LED indicator light that glows while in use.

As far as strength goes, both ends are weaker than Uma. The small end is whiny at the highest setting, and the larger end is deeper. On both sides of the VR8, the vibrations are focused at the tip, but do travel nicely along the shaft. In this instance I like the thicker end because the vibrations feel deeper to me. I would consider the smaller end a buzzy 3 vroom and the larger end a rumbly 4 vroom.

Even at its highest setting, the Vr8 is pretty quite and not distracting. You will not need any background noise to cover the use of this toy and it will not be heard through thin walls or closed doors.

It has a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery that has a complete charge in four hours, but the first initial charge only takes three and a half hours. Fully charged, it can give you up to three hours of play but that depends on what setting you are on and if you are using both motors simultaneously so results will vary.

The charging port is located on the back of the vibrator in the middle. There's a small circle indention where it plugs into the vibrator like the Bedroom Kandi lipstick vibrator if you have that toy.



To charge, plug charger into recharge port and plig into a power sourcde. A red LED will glow indicating that it is charging. When fully charged, the light will turn off. The charger is a little over five feet long.



It is completely waterproof and it held up during testing. The vibrations did not become weaker in the water which was fantastic.

This is very easy to wash you can wash it with mild soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. You can also use a 10% bleach solution. It does tend to pick up lint so make sure to clean before and after every use.

Dry thoroughly before storing and always use a water-based lubricant.

It came in a white box wrapped in plastic. Included were the charger, toy, storage bag, and Vanity product catalog.




The storage bag is wonderful, it held eighteen toys of various shapes and sizes. I was able to fit the G4 Elegance, Mona, Uma, VR8, Zini Roae, G-ki, Gigi, Little Paul Click N Charge, three Mimis, and six different Roulette's. I know you're thinking that we're not supposed to store silicone together, but I have not had any issues doing this. However, if you don't want to store your toys in there you could store the Vr8, charger, Eden Wipes, and lubricant in there so everything you need would be in one location. Now that I have one, I feel I have to get more Jopen products just for their wonderful bags to hold the rest of my toys. Yes, I know that's not practical, but I plan on getting more from this line anyway.

Jopen has a one year warranty for their toys from the first day of purchase. They also have an optional ten year warranty to further protect your investment. Once registered, you will receive information on the optional 10 Year Replacement Program, in your registration confirmation email.

This is my second Jopen product. My first was the Intensity, but I didn't use it for pleasuring purposes but strictly for womens health. I feel Jopen products are something that are highly crafted, should last a long time, and worth the investment. You're getting a rechargeable, waterproof, fairly powerful toy with a one year warranty all in one.

However, as far as I'm concerned this product did not do it for me. My circumstances are very unique so just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean this won't work for you. I have not found any toy that allows me to have a vaginal orgasm and have only come across four toys that allow me to have a clitoral orgasm. This was not one of those toys no matter how much I wanted it to be so.

I do not have a partner that will work the toys with me to help me get a feel for my own anatomy and the inner workings of my most intimate spot. I buy climax gels and all these wonderful toys, but I just can't achieve an orgasm on my own no matter what I do. I was hoping since I've heard wonderful things about Jopen toys that this particular toy would be the toy that allowed me to achieve satisfaction on my own, but that was just not the case. I'm not giving up on Jopen toys and I'm not giving up on finding the perfect toy for me, but sadly this was not my "perfect" toy.

You may wonder why I chose this particular version out of all the Jopen toys, and I will tell you the majority of Jopens toys are rabbit style or have the additional clit arm. I have not had any success with the few rabbits that I have tried so I was limited to trying the VR2, VR8, or VR9. According to the product page, this one is supposed to be the strongest one out of those options and I know that I need power to achieve a clitoral orgasm so that's why I chose it.

I've tried pairing this with Uma and the Eroscillator Top Deluxe to give me simultaneous clitoral stimulation, but I have not been able to have any extra results that I wouldn't have experience by using those two vibrators on their own. Overall, this will stay in my toybox and I will continue using Uma until I can find something that I feel is better than it.
