Verve sex toy review

Rabbit vibrator by Spartacus

Published: April 9, 2008
extremely useful review
All in all, the Verve is a quality twist on the traditional rabbit vibe. With an array of options that can be used together or separately, this is a good multi-purpose vibe that would fit well in any collection.
Pros:
Soft ticklers; removeable, repositionable clitoral stimulator with it's own battery
Cons:
No rotating pearls; difficulty inserting batteries
This toy was definitely designed
The Verve brings true flexibility and innovation to the traditional rabbit vibrator. Though the Verve is missing the rotating pearls or beads found on most rabbits, it more than makes up for it in other features.

The elastomer material is soft and pliant, and the shaft is covered with long ticklers that more than make up for the loss of the pearls. Though it may look intimidating, these ticklers are so soft that they bring only pleasure, both internally and externally.

The Verve includes a removable vibrating rabbit that is quite possibly the most flexible on any vibe I’ve used -this thing can be bent and stretched to hit almost any spot! It also contains its own motor and - more unusual - its own battery. This assures that the shaft and clit stimulator functions don’t detract from each other as they do in so many dual-action sex toys. It’s got long ears and a firm bullet base for teasing flickers or more direct stimulation. As previously mentioned, the rabbit tickler is also removable when you want a change, or can be used independently of the rest of the vibe. It would even make a good vibrating cock ring to use on your man or another vibe!

The shaft has separate vibrating and reversible rotating functions. The nicely powerful motor in the head again more than makes up for the lack of rotating beads. The rotation is firm yet in a fairly narrow arc. This feature, combined with the separate vibrating action, makes this an ideal vibrator for those who aren’t fans of the hugely “squirmy” vibes and are looking for a variation on a traditional motor-in-head quality vibrator.

The controls are simple push buttons and fairly intuitive to use after about 30 seconds of experimentation. Getting to the battery compartment can be a bit of a challenge, since the Verve comes with a waterproof “sleeve” that fits over the base of the vibrator. Once you’ve mastered the art of getting it on and off and properly positioned, though, you’ll be happy for the extra waterproof protection it affords.

All in all, the Verve is a quality twist on the traditional rabbit vibe. With an array of options that can be used together or separately, this is a good multi-purpose vibe that would fit well in any collection.
Follow-up commentary
The little removeable rabbit on this thing is the bomb! It's just so versatile, excellent as a wider-style cockring or hand-held clitoral stimulator. And the fact that it has its own battery never ceases to impress me, since I hate it when multiple functions drain power from one another. This toy has also largely helped me get over my fear of long ticklers, since these are just so soft and pliable and stimulating!

Unfortunately, right after I posted my follow-up review, I encountered a problem with the Verve.  The stretch ring that holds on the rabbit part of the vibe broke!  I was actually able to fix it with a couple of stitches and some sturdy thread, well enough to hold it on the rabbit, at least.  We won't be using it as a cock ring anytime soon, though!

Also, if you have a hard time interpreting the writing on the battery that comes in the rabbit stimulator (I certainly did!), it takes one LR1 size battery (in the Energizer brand, at least), which can easily be found in Walmart and other non-speciality stores.

Well, the OTHER side of the ring that holds the rabbit in place has torn through on me now, and I haven't even used the vibe.  I've emailed Spartacus to see if I can purchase a replacement for the rabbit ring.  I'll keep you posted.
