Vroooooom Goes the Vr2
This petite fuchsia vibrator features individually operated motors and a satiny smooth 100% silicone skin. The vibes are of middle-to-high strength, and are deep and throbby.Published: January 10, 2011
Pros:
Deep fuchsia color, small size & shape, buzzy vibes, warranty.
Cons:
Attracts lint when not in storage bag.
Use
This silicone rechargeable vibe has dual motors and can be used internally or externally. The smaller end is shaped just right for g-spot stimulation, and the big bulb, powered by a separate motor, has a great shape for clitoral stimulation. I think that the smaller end could also be safely used anally because the larger end is rather flared--of course, don't forget that it must be sterilized before it's inserted anywhere else to avoid infection.
The vibes are mid-to-high-range in terms of strength. This is definitely not a Magic Wand replacement; it's a full category below that most powerful of vibes. But, the vibes on the Vr2 are strong enough, throbby and complex, and they gave me a very satisfying climax.

Material / Texture
The toy features a flexible, velvety silicone that is body-safe and easy to sterilize with a 10% bleach solution, followed by a rinse with soap and water. The thin neck between the two ends bends rather easily, although it does not hold its shape, and it is easy to keep it bent while you're using it to penetrate someone.
It is a completely odorless and non-irritating material, and it feels lovely against your skin, but it does attract lint. It is advertised as waterproof, and the connection to where the thin, long charger enters appears to be plugged up with silicone, but I am wary about fulling submerging any sex toy. Water damage happens easily with a variety of objects, it can seep into even the tiniest of crevices when submerged, and there's no need to risk ruining an expensive sex toy.
The dildo looks kind of pink in the online photos, but in real life, it looks to me much more fuchsia--a deep vibrant fuchsia. The purple dimensions of the color don't come out well in photos, it seems.

Design / Shape / Size
While the smaller g-spot end seemed not as large as I expected, it ended up as a perfect fit. I am the opposite of a size queen, however, and not everybody would be satisfied with the small nub that is only 3 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inch thick at the widest part. I like just one or two fingers for g-spot stimulation, and the smaller bulb is about as wide as two fingers at its widest point. Furthermore, the small bulb is proportioned just right and hits me where it counts. Everyone is a little different, but if you like shallow penetration and your g-spot is stimulated by a crooked finger, you will like this toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls
There are two buttons, which control the two motors. Clicking either button once will turn a motor on and off. Clicking and holding steady will increase the vibration speed until you let go or it reaches max speed, whichever is first. I found the buttons to be reliable in their responsiveness, and I didn't accidentally turn them off. You can lock them for travel by holding down both at the same time. A red light shines from below the silicone when it's charging; this light shuts off when it's fully charged.
The motor on the bigger bulb is stronger than the one in the smaller tip, but the vibrations spread throughout the entire shaft when both are on. I did notice the vibe intensity changing slightly when very strong pressure was applied--it actually got more throbby, which I really enjoyed. Actually, I'm not sure if using it this way causes damage or not. But the motors come with a one-year warranty and the option of purchasing a 10 year warranty. I checked the free, included warranty online, which is provided by Vibetronics, and, according to the terms, if there's any mechanical failure, they will ship you a new one after you ship them the broken one, and you can expect to receive the replacement in 4-6 weeks. So, I'm not worried about breaking it.

Care and Maintenance
The dildo is silicone, so you must use water-based lube, and NOT silicone-based lube, to avoid the risk of altering the texture of the silicone surface. You can't boil it or put it in the dishwasher to sterilize it because it has electric parts, but you can spray with a 10% bleach / 90%water solution and then rinse well with soap and water.
It's advertised as waterproof, and the charger connection is plugged up with silicone, but that can't be 100% impermeable, so I would feel free to wash it under running water, but not submerge it.

Packaging
It comes in a simple white cardboard box, with an insert describing features, and a pamphlet with pictures of the entire Vr line (I would love to try the rechargeable rabbit in the line. I would love to try the whole line, actually. Jopen is looking like it's going to be an exciting high-end toy producer, much like LeLo. The difference is that they have so many variations on basic toys; more models (12 in total) appear in the pamphlet than are currently available.
It comes with a generously sized storage Jopen-logo-on-black-bag that easily accommodates the vibe and the charger. I really appreciate that it's not a tight-fitting bag.

Jopen Prices

Did the prices on the Jopen toys go up recently, or were they on special before? I was thinking about picking up the Vr2 for valentines day, but somehow I remember it being around $115, and now it's up to around $145. Am I crazy?Reply
-
Nope you are not crazy they did jump big time! They now cost more than in my local brick and mortar store. I was going to get one as well, but not at these prices. ;(Reply
-
I think it would definitely work with the Valentine's day coupon.Reply
