Wanna Spoon?

I'm not a big fan of the main feature of this toy: the silicone sleeve. However, I was very impressed with the bullet. This would be a great choice for someone who likes squishy toys. If you're like me and need pressure, you would be better off just buying a hard plastic bullet.

Use

The Spoon, from Tantus' Little Secret line is a small bullet vibrator with a removable silicone sleeve. The flat head of the sleeve would be great for anyone who prefers a broader, squishy toy for clitoral simulation. I like to use the bullet alone since it allows for more pressure, and has stronger vibrations. Although the shape is reminiscent of Lelo's Gigi, I found the Spoon to be too small for g-spot stimulation. The Spoon would be a great choice for clitoral stimulation during sex; it's small enough not to get in the way, and super quiet, so you don't have to worry about a noisy vibrator disrupting the mood. It is also very discreet for anyone worried about room mates, and would be a great choice for travel.

Material / Texture

According to the packaging, this toy is made from "100% ultra-premium platinum silicone", and is "hypoallergenic, hygienic, plthalate-free, odorless, tasteless, boilable, bleachable, and completely non-toxic". The silicone is very squishy, and has a smooth, shiny, almost tacky surface. It likes to stick onto the bullet, and I found that the best way to seperate them was by rolling the bottom of the sleeve up. I haven't had too much trouble getting it back onto the bullet, but you could always add a drop of lube to make it easier. There is almost an inch of silicone above the top of the bullet, and it is too squishy for me. I can't get as much pressure as I need, so I prefer to use the hard, plastic bullet. The smooth surface of the bullet can be a little slippery and difficult to hold onto.

Design / Shape / Size

The Spoon has a slightly curved, flat head that is similar to the Lelo Gigi. However, the Spoon is a lot smaller than Gigi and doesn't work well for g-spot stimulation. The silicone portion is just over 3 inches long, and less than an inch wide.

The bullet is also about 3 inches in length, with a pointed tip. I find the tip a little too pointy, and prefer to use the bullet on it's side for broader coverage. It's the same width as the bullet that comes with Tantus dildos and can be used as a replacement, but it is longer, so the end will stick out a little.

The bullet seems to be identical to the Rocks Off RO-80 mm bullet, except that it is stamped with the word LEVETT.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bullet is operated by an easy to use push button on the base. It simply turns on and off, with no extra speeds or patterns. I was surprised by the strength of the bullet, and would give it 4 vrooms when used on it's own. The vibrations are much stronger and deeper than those of a standard watch battery powered bullet. When the sleeve is on, it dulls the vibrations down to 3 vrooms. This toy is very quiet, expecially for the amount of power it has. It is the quietest vibrator in my collection, and even makes my Lelo toys seem loud in comparison. There was no indication that this is a waterproof toy, so I haven't tried it in the water. The bullet runs on 1 N battery, which is provided. The battery compartment screws on and off easily. I've used the Spoon several times and the battery is still going strong. It seems to last longer than watch batteries do.

Care and Maintenance

The Spoon can be washed with soap and water, or you can sterilize the silicone sleeve by boiling it, or using a 10% bleach solution. It shouldn't be used with silicone lubes since they could damage the finish on your toy.

Packaging

The Spoon comes packaged in a plastic bag with a pink cardboard top.

The front has the Tantus logo and tells you it is made from silicone. The back has more information about the material, and also has a symbol indicating that the toy is manufactured 100% green.

There are no instructions, but it tells you to visit the Tantus website for cleaning and care information.

The packaging doesn't work well for storage since it can't be resealed. You might want to store your Spoon in a ziploc bag since it collects lint.
Follow-up commentary
The Spoon never worked for me, and I no longer have it. I liked the bullet better without the silicone sleeve, but it was still a bit on the weak side, and was also more pinpoint than works best for me.
