Waterproof, Rechargeable, and Powerful? I'm Sold!

The Form 6 is an attractive and powerful vibrator. It is made of silicone, and is rechargeable, so you'll save a lot on batteries. By far the best feature is the memory - find a setting you like and the Form 6 will remember it.

Pros:
Good vibrations, remembers last setting, rechargeable.
Cons:
Expensive, somewhat noisy.

extremely useful review
Just saying waterproof and rechargeable in the same sentence with vibrator gets me excited, so I was immensely interested in getting the Form 6 by JimmyJane. I’m not sure what happened to Forms 1 through 5, but the 6 is a delight and everything I’d hoped for.

The Form 6 comes in a large box inside a plastic slip sleeve. The box is nice, with information about the product on the outside. Inside is a booklet which contains a quick start guide (!), the Form 6, charging base (also its storage), and the power adapter. It looks somewhat like a summer squash, with a small and large end. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come in yellow - I chose the plum color, which is quite nice.

Each end of the Form 6 is a different size. The smaller end is 1 1/4" in diameter, while the larger end is a filling 1 3/4”. The vibrator is 7” long from tip to tip.

The Form 6 should be charged at least 8 hours before initial use. That gives you time to read the manual before using it. It’s easy to charge – the adapter connects to the base, and then it can be plugged into the wall. The Form 6 nestles in the base with its tip and metal collar touching the base contacts. It fairly leapt from my hand into the dock, and was easy to position.

Since I had some time to kill before the charge was complete, I decided to read through the manual (which is always a good idea). The Form 6 has some great features. It has a one year limited warranty, which is great for a vibrator of this price. It’s waterproof, so it can be used safely in the shower or bath. It has a rechargeable lithium ion battery, and can’t be overcharged. When fully charged, the battery has a lifespan of 2 hours on maximum power with both nodes going. Wow!

Even more exciting, the Form 6 remembers the last power level and vibration mode it was set to. When turned off, and then turned back on, it remembers. Double wow! No more trying to figure out which pattern it was you liked, the Form 6 will go back to it. The vibrator can be turned on or off by pressing any of the 3 buttons (discreetly hidden in the middle of its body) for about 3 seconds. This makes it safe for traveling, as it takes more than a bump to start the motors going. The vibration for each node can also be turned off by cycling through the intensity settings.

The Form 6 has dual motors, one in each end. Separate buttons control the vibration of each end, with a third button to control the pattern of each end, although the vibrations can be felt all over the toy. Each end is controlled by the button closest to it (which allows you to cycle through 5 intensity settings), while the center button controls the vibration mode (six in all). The buttons are below the toy’s surface, with just a dot or wavy line to indicate where to press. They light up when pressed so you or your partner can see what's been chosen.

The vibration modes are detailed in the instruction book, and differ somewhat for the large end and the small end. There are many different combinations, and you can have just one side vibrate at a time (which is easier when thrusting), although the vibrations can be felt along the entire toy.

While the manual and box tout how quiet the Form 6 is, I found it to be somewhat noisy, although not as noisy as some toys I own. It reminded me somewhat of my SonicCare toothbrush, in sound and pitch. Internally, the sound is not as bad, and once you’re using it, you will be too caught up in the sensation to mind or really pay attention. Background music helps also.

The Form 6 is made of silicone, which is phthalates-free and body safe. This vibrator cannot be sterilized, but should be cleaned with warm water and a mild soap. Never use anything abrasive on the surface. The Form 6 should be clean and dry before placing it in the charger. Water based lubricants are safe to use.

The Form 6 is smooth to the touch, and doesn’t bend or flex under pressure. It is also odorless and tasteless.
Experience
So did it work? Wonderfully so - up to and past my expectations. It worked great on my clit, as well as vaginally and on my g-spot. This has great power! It’s not nearly as strong as say the Hitachi, but for me it’s mighty close in its orgasm-inducing power; and it’s quieter, cordless, and waterproof.

I truly love that, once I find a vibrating setting that works, I don’t have to remember what it is the next time. I can simply turn it back on and enjoy. This also saves my partner fumbling with settings.

While I didn’t have much trouble holding this from either end, my partner found the small end much easier to grip when thrusting; especially when the Form 6 was covered in lube.

While you could use the small end anally, a condom would be necessary since it cannot be sterilized. I enjoy its vibrations too much elsewhere to be putting this in my ass.
Follow-up commentary
I love my rechargeables, and the Form 6 is no exception. No hunting for batteries - it's always charged and ready to go. I also like that it's waterproof, and it's experienced no problems even with the frequent use this gets in the bath. Because this toy is easy to hold and manipulate, it gets a lot of use in the shower as well.

I love the power this vibrator has, and that when I turn it on, it's at my favorite setting. Sometimes I like to change it up, but there's one setting I prefer over the others.

My husband would prefer this had more of a handle on it, but he's getting better with holding on to the smaller end.

I am definitely glad I got the Form 6 - and I will be for a long time to come.

  • Form 6 or Je Joue Uma
    • Looking to invest in a more expensive g-spot vibrator, so I'd like to hear from anyone who has used both what the pros and cons are! Thanks!

[Full disclosure: I already posted a comparison discussion but they dont seem to be super easy for people to find, so I figured I'd try again here.]

      Thanks for your thoughts!

I'd recommend Uma. I have the Form 6, and tried the Uma at a real store. Here's what I really don't like about form 6:
The silicone has a harsh seam (uma's seamless)
The whole vibrator is very rigid, not comfortable to insert (Uma's rigid as well, but a lot smoother)
The vibration on the small end is very buzzy (Uma has one motor, but a very nice one)
The buttons are impossible, if you have the big end inserted, you have to take it out to change the setting (Uma's buttons are on the opposite end of the motor, the buttons are not easy but it's relatively better compare to Form 6).
The silicone attracts so much dust and lint (Uma does this too, but not as bad)
Whiny sound from the motor (uma's a lot quieter)

What's actually good about Form 6:
3 years warranty compared to Uma's one year

So glad to finally hear an opinion on this! Thanks! I was leaning towards the uma, but this definitely gives me some concrete reasons why. Anyone out there prefer the form 6? Or is the uma the uncontested favorite?

  • Form 6 color
    • Is the pink of the form six the same pink that's on the other vibes in the form series? The 6 always seems to look more bubble-gummy than the pink used on the 2 3 and 4 in all the pictures I've seen. Am I imaging this?

Seems more like a burgundy rather than a bright pink.
    • I think youre right about it being more bubblegum

  • Worth the money?
    • I'm looking for a high quality vibrator for my wife. Is this one worth the hefty price tag?
    • It seems to be well rated from the reviews. The nice thing about Eden is the unbiased reviews that are provided by the community. Being that it has a fairly hefty price tag, I would recommend that you read through all the reviews and if you still have questions, to ask them on the review itself. You're more likely to receive a better answer that way.

    • Is there a lot of drag with this vibe? if so how much lubrication would be necessary?
    • It looks to be the same material as one I had before. Water based lube's your best bet..
