Waver butterfly - rabbit vibrator discontinued by Orion - review by markeagleone

This particular toy was a present that I purchased for my wife. She has been using the smaller vibrators, so I thought it was due time to venture into the larger realm of these toys. On to the review:

This is a toy that was made by Orion. I would have to put this one in the more advanced users area due to its size. That being said, it is of a simple enough operation that I think new users may also fit this one. It may be that you may have to work up to using it, but it is definitely worth having around.

This toy is made to stimulate the clitoris and also the labia and vagina. I can't see much more than that, since the only vibrations are at the clitoral massager part.

This toy is great for solo play, but it is also a great one for couples. It is soft enough in the right areas, so you don't really have to worry so much about hurting your loved one.

When this toy came, there was a slight smell to it, almost like a sweet rubbery smell. It has the texture of rubber, but much softer and less of a grab to it when being rubbed.

The toy is made from plastic and TPR. The head is completely smooth with three ridges next to it on the shaft. The shaft is completely smooth. There is a butterfly whose antennae are used for stimulation of the clitoris. Its wings can also stimulate the labia, when in use. The toy, itself, is rigid, but the outer coating is quite soft and flexible. The toy is phthalate and latex free and also Hypo-allergenic.

The handle has four ridges for added grip, and a well designed control box, set off of the handle. It makes it quite easy to operate, even with the lights out.

As I stated before, I would lean this one to the more advanced category, but I would also say that even a beginner in the use of toys may find this one to be great. It is only a size issue, not complexity.

The design of this vibrator is in the shape of a male penis. It has a small butterfly attached towards the base. The color is more of a lighter shade of purple, rather than what is shown in the product description.

The overall length of the vibrator is 9 3/4 inches long. The plastic handle/controller and battery cover is 2 3/4 inches long. The head is 1 5/8 long and the shaft is 5 3/8 inches long. The diameter is 1 1/2 inches. Insertable length is 5 inches(head to butterfly).

The butterfly has a length of 2 7/8 inches and sits off the shaft at about 15 to 20 degree angle. It can stretch out to about a 70 degree angle. The head and antennae tip inward to make contacting the clitoris much easier. The wings fold inward and are about 1 3/4 inches long and 1 7/8 long tip to tip. This provides excellent contact with the labia.

There are five control buttons on this toy. One controls the vibrations of the butterfly clitoral stimulator. It has three speeds and each is shown by LED lights. One button controls the upward speed and the other, the downward speed. To shut this off, you must use the downward button.

The next button controls the wave movements of the shaft. It operates in the same fashion as the clitoral stimulator. The last button is labeled u/d. It controls the upward or downward movement of the waves in the shaft. Yes, the waves can flow inward or outward. It is rather unique. You can have the feel of thrusting, without moving the toy.

The uniqueness of this toy is the wave movements in the shaft. Each wave is approximately 1/2 inch apart and can flow up or down, depending on your preference. There is no vibrator in the shaft. The only vibrations come from the butterfly.

The controls are quite easy to use and also very easy to locate. They are located on a box that sits approximately 1/2 inch off the shaft of the handle.

This vibrator is also waterproof. Although it doesn't state that on the box, there is an o-ring that seals the battery cover. Also, the buttons on the control panel are rubber covered to protect it from water. I have also checked at the manufacturer's website, but I couldn't find any specifications on this product. We did try this toy in the shower and there was no sign of water leakage or impaired performance.

The sound of the butterfly I would put between a cell phone to an electric shaver. The sound that is the wave action of the shaft. I would put that close to a battery operated toy car. It will be heard from under covers and may also go through a hollow filled door. You may want to consider soft music to drown out the sounds.

This particular toy is made from plastic and TPR. It cannot be boiled, so wear a condom if you share. My advise is not to share.

This toy can be cleaned with warm water and soap. A toy cleaner can also be used, but only if needed.

The lubricants that can be used are silicone and water. Right from the manufacture, do not use an oil based lube. It will cause the material to disintegrate. My wife and I use water-based lubes. It covers nearly any toy on the market.

My wife and I store this toy in its original box. There is a molded case that it sits in. If you store this toy else where, I would recommend a plastic zip-bag. This toy is a bit more attractant to dust and lint. Also, make sure that there is no other toy in contact with it. It also needs to be stored in a cool, dry place

This toy has a removable battery carrier. It takes three AA batteries and I always recommend having more on hand. Make sure you remove the batteries for extended storage times and make sure the battery cover is always tight.

The packaging is by no means discreet. There is a naked model holding the toy on the front and one side of the box. The box is 3 5/8 wide by 2 5/8 deep and 11 inches tall. The toy rests in a plastic molded insert. It is a product from Germany, but made in China. It does not state the material, waterproof or the direct manufacturer's name.

It does come with an instruction pamphlet. It gives tips on battery usage, care and storage and the usual warnings about the usage of the toy.

The box does make a great storage place for the toy.

I have to say I think this was a wise choice. It was simple to control and also has the softness to it that put my mind at ease of using this one with my wife. It drove her absolutely wild, especially the wave action of the shaft. It put a whole new meaning to the word intense. It was a new and different sensation compared to the traditional vibrators, that rotate the head or circulate balls inside the shaft. The Waver is so much more intense, especially if you bear down on the shaft inside you.

Anyway, on to the first hand experience from my wife:

After the arrival of this particular toy, I am questioning which quest my husband is more committed too. Is it the cock-ring, finding the perfect rabbit vibrator, or is it just he wants a collection of all things from the animal and insect categories?

This is the most expensive rabbit vibrator that I have experienced, so far. Even before taking it out of the box, I felt a tinge of intimidation. This Waver Butterfly was large, much larger than I expected or was led to believe from what my husband told me. It intrigued me more than any other toy we have received, but I think it was because of the purple disks that lined the inside of the clear shaft. I had to insert the batteries to see what this thing could really do. I actually ignored the butterfly at first. The controls were simple to figure out and it didn't take long for me to get the "wave" moving. It resembled the "wave" that people do in the stands of a football game. I was amazed that you had the option of having the disks go in an upward shuffle or in reverse.

Then I noticed the butterfly, how could I not once the vibration button was hit. The butterfly began "fluttering" like there was no tomorrow. Once you added that and the "shuffling" of the wave disks, the toy was a sight to behold. The vibrations of the toy were not loud and neither was the movement of the disks. The movement of the disks sounded very similar to knocking of dominoes consistently. The vibrations did not feel overwhelming when pressed against the palm of my hand. I will say that I did have many reservations about using it later in the night though. It is intimidating, at least for a novice like me.

When it came time to use the Waver, we not only took it slow, I insisted that we use our go-to lube (which is water-based). I was hesitant because of the size of the shaft and all the sensations associated with this toy. There was no problems with the insertion of the toy, which I was surprised by. You could feel the disks "waving" and could also feel when they changed direction. I loved the feeling of the shaft moving when it actually was still in a stationary position. Once the butterfly began its flight and my husband began going through all the settings, is when I began to have some problems. Apparently, I am one of those people that can only take so much stimulation, before it becomes to much to handle.

Don't get me wrong, the toy is wonderful and would be a great addition to beginners and advanced users toy collection. I just can not handle everything at once, probably because I am a novice in this genre of toys. I enjoyed the ease and smoothness of the thrusting, even when I knew the shaft of the toy was being expanded a little do to the shuffling or wave effect of the disks. I never felt it pull or drag at any point. The butterfly gave off the perfect vibrations for clitorial stimulation. For even more stimulation, my husband would put pressure on the butterfly to deliver a more direct vibration. The combination of them both, proved to be my downfall. As I could not enjoy the moment because of all the sensations.

I would recommend this to beginners and advanced users, alike. The technology of this toy makes it an interesting addition to ones collection. For the beginners though, I would say take it slow the first few times of use. The more we use the Waver, the more accustomed I become to it with all that it can do. Each time gets more and more enjoyable.
