My own personal favorite use for this is with my partner. The egg works wonderfully on its own, but handing over the remote is why this toy is as awesome as it is. We tested the range and I was able to sit in the car while he went to the front door of his apartment, about 30 feet away, and it still switched settings. You could be in a large public event, and it would still work. It worked through a bedroom wall in his apartment as well.

This product is velvety-soft and solid with no seams or scratchy areas. It's very well-made and quite beautiful. The remote is made of the same material, with the exception of the silver plastic battery cover on the back, and vibrates as well.

The remote is a palm-sized circle with three buttons set slightly off-center. It is molded so your thumb hits the right place, right over the buttons. It actually reminds me of a worry stone or skipping rock, perfectly shaped and very comfortable to hold. It has a '+', a symbol that looks like two parentheses in a 69 position, and a '-'. They're inside each bubble of the triple infinity Lelo insignia. The buttons are soft and easy to push. The middle button is my favorite....more on that magic gem in a moment.

The egg part of this pink beauty is light and has one button. The side with the button is slightly contoured and has a higher, thinner bump to it. It's perfect for rubbing your clit. One end is the velvety pink material and comes to a point, which felt amazing when trailed over my nipples. The opposite end is a little silver tip that twists off for charging-the port is inside. It also has a wire loop about 3" long and the word LELO lightly inscribed.

The egg itself is about 2.5" by 1.5". It sits easily in panties, nestled up against my clit and between my labia without a big bulge or extra weight. You will need to plan your panties appropriately...they'll need to be something that'll hold it against you. Stretchy mesh might be a poor choice here. Also, a thong wouldn't work at all unless it has a vibrator pocket.

Oh my, does this little jewel deliver. Yes, it works on its own without the remote. It cycles through its 6 settings with the one button on the egg. They're the standard variations of steady (low and high), waves, on/off, and random. The remote will also cycle through these. Now for my favorite part: Hit the '+' once and a little pink light glows in the center of remote. Click the egg and its light flashes softly and it starts to vibrate on low. Now tip the remote. Vroom! It works like a steering wheel, and the further you turn, the stronger the vibration. Horizontal, it's quiet and still. The more vertical you tip it, the more toe-curling it gets.

The remote vibrates with the egg so your partner knows what the egg is doing. They can let you smoulder gently, and then steal your breath and soak your panties with a turn of their wrist. It's so much fun!

Here's another fun trick: Hit the middle button (the parentheses) and the egg flips off. Now jostle the remote a little. Feel that? How could you not? You're in another motion sensor mode now. I like to call it "bump and grind" mode. The more it's bumped, the more it vibrates. This is awesome in a pocket, preferably a loose one being bumped by a leg. Shake it up, it shakes you up. Stand still and the egg is still. Imagine dancing like that? Actually on second thought...let's find a trampoline.

If you hit the parentheses again, it allows your partner to cycle through the 6 vibration modes, and utilize the '+' and '-' to vary intensity. Holding down the '-' button will turn it off and allow you to use the egg on its own.

The Laya is waterproof silicone, and is easily cleaned with toy cleaner. To be quite honest, I was so turned on by relinquishing the remote to my partner that lube wasn't needed. Another change of panties--definitely needed. Mine were drenched in the first couple minutes.

Lelo products are beautifully packaged in a matte box. There were two batteries in the remote, and two in the satin bag with the battery plate key, with all of the above tucked in a compartment one end of the box. There was also a little gold pin with the triple infinity Lelo symbol on it. I'm not sure I'd ever wear the pin, but it's a nice touch. Jewelry and the best toy ever!

My one complaint about the Laya is the remote is quite loud, but the egg isn't. I'm not sure if it's the back battery plate, but we tried removing it and making sure it was tight enough but it's just way louder. Caution will be necessary to make sure it's not heard if it turns vertical. In a bar or a club, somewhere with loud music and voices, you'd be fine. If you stepped outside, though, someone would be wondering what the heck that buzzing sound was. On the third setting, the one that cycles through the 6 options, it has the option of turning down the vibrations which made it quieter. However, it made the vibrations less strong for me.

My other concern is the loop; I'm not sure how strong it is. I hope I don't need to find out, but it's easy to forget and pick it up by the loop. Also, the loop is longer than the toy itself and easy to bend if you're not careful.

My partner and I had been talking for a few months before our first date and joked about toy stores and that after dinner we'd go to one. Well...we did. We walked around and he knew that I liked toys that I can use on my clit while being fucked. We loved the idea of remote-controlled panties.
