Traditional vibrator discontinued

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Sex Toys: My Introduction

The Cupid is all-around a nice, gentle vibrator that won't scare off newbies to the world of sex toys. Cupid is visually appealing, playful, and very easy to use and clean. It has a gentle motion, even at the highest setting, and the flowers add a light but not overwhelming texture. The toy is fun alone but even more fun when you get your partner involved.

It seems fitting that Cupid would begin my exploration into the world of sex toys. This Cupid in particular was quite fitting since it is described as the kinder, gentler vibrator. Cupid was a free gift when I signed up for Edenfantasys' newsletter, an act which I will never ever regret. I had never actually seen a vibrator in person before, so when I discovered a discrete package at my front door I was excited to open it and get a look.

At first, I was skeptical because the electric blue packaging is a little jarring, but the Cupid looked just like the picture so I opened it up. Of course, I wiggled it; how can you not? It is pliable and wobbles a bit. The Cupid is made out of TPR Silicone, which comes in a variety of textures. This one was described as "velvety", which is fitting. The Cupid was soft and squeezable. I want to say squishy, but this gives the wrong impression; it was a pleasant squish. The flowers winding around the shaft made me giggle, but it also makes the toy feel less intimidating. It really doesn't get girlier than this and remember, I'm new so that was great!

Thankfully I had a couple of AA batteries on hand.

The box says the shaft is six inches, which is probably not counting the base. The size and general shape were not intimidating which is always good for a beginner. Since this toy is silicone, it isn't safe to use silicone based lube, but Cupid is waterproof so the suggested lubricant would be water.

I'm a little embarrassed at how naive I am when it comes to toys, but we all have to start somewhere right?

I am typically an outside stimulation masturbater, and Cupid worked great. There are multiple speeds controlled by a dial at the base. Even at the fastest speed, the vibration wasn't overpowering and the dial is kind of fun to use in and of itself. I am that person who loves to press buttons and turn dials so it was especially fun to experiment with the speeds. While Cupid worked well both as an inside and outside toy I found personally the vibration was more appealing for me when Cupid was outside (this is probably because Cupid is a gentle vibrator); so once it was inside, I could feel the vibration but it just wasn't as much fun as when it was directly applied to the clitoris.

Because Cupid is waterproof, you can soak it in soap and water after play, or use toy cleaner with no worries.

All in all, Cupid was a wonderful beginner's toy! It is visually pleasant; some toys can look almost frightening. It has a gentle motion, nothing too jarring, and a good soft texture.
Experience
Cupid is a lot of fun as a couples toy. I didn't want my partner to think that just because I have this new toy that he would become obsolete. It is like that line from "Fight Club", the vibrator isn't a threat to him. I surrendered the Cupid to him and he used it wisely. It is great for initial foreplay to stimulate the clitoris. We also used a pair of Smartballs Duo, inserted during foreplay with the Cupid laid flat over the clitoris and a little bit of the stomach. The vibration jimmies the the Smartballs and it is fantastic!

Cupid is also good for outside stimulus while my partner is inside of me.

It is always fun to get so much specific attention during sex.

The length is labeled as 6 inches, which seems to be the insert-able bits, and the width around a little more than an inch.

A useful review, thanks for posting it and congratulations on 2 reviews. I'm still a new reviewer myself and i'm sure for me next 20 reviews there will always be something I missed or could add in. I can only suggest reading other people's reviews, obviously don't copy what they say hehe, but it can help spring ideas in your head for things you can add to your own reviews. I have a hard time trying to think of how to describe a lot of things in my reviews.
