Double duty - double penetration vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by Midway through

Okay, it totally smelled like tasty grapes, and for me, being a wonderfully inquisitive girl...I licked it. I've licked a lot of EF toys I've gotten, why? Just because. It didn't taste like grapes. I was disappointed. Not that I needed a grape flavored vibrator.

Anyway, this is a double penetration vibrator. It is designed for use with anal and vaginal penetration at the same time, exciting yes? Very. As with all anal play, use plenty of lubricant. I'm a beginner to DP and anal play in general, but I absolutely loved this toy. You'll find later that the only reason I didn't rate it a five was because of the lack of variation in vibration pattern. I would recommend this toy to other beginners and have been raving about it since I got it because I really do like it. The material is nice and firm but has a little give to it, and I think that makes a great beginning toy for anal.

Double Duty is TPR, which is also called TPE. It is porous, though not as porous as other materials such as UR3. DD comes in two scents-Cherry and Grape. The scent is not ridiculously strong, but if you sniff it, you'll smell it. So be mindful if you fear allergies that it is scented. The scent fades a little with use, but is still there. I'm not entirely sure why it's scented, because as my friend says, if you can smell it, you're using it wrong (with vibrators). It's a really smooth toy all over, except for the bubbles that are on the vaginal shaft. It's not a sticky material, though the look of it resembles Jell-E. It's soft, but firm, and gives a great start off for DP beginners.

I love the design, the idea behind this was great. I find a lot of toys aren't angled properly for double penetration. This is angled perfect, and being a beginner at double penetration, it only took me minutes to get it in and go at it. I was not uncomfortable, and the angle was great for my hand too, I didn't tire out by trying to hold it the way I want it! The anal shaft has a more phallic design while the vaginal shaft has a bubble design that increases a little in size as you get to the base.

The width isn't bad at all, which is why this is fantastic for DP beginners.

I'm going to say this is weak, though it's not super weak. It puts out nice vibrations, but I like my house to shake on its foundation. This toy only has a steady vibration, there are no patterns or pulses. Admittedly, this is disappointing. It is also why I'm only rating it with 4 stars. I like variety. The controls for the vibrations are on the base, where the cap is. You turn the cap tight to make sure water can't get in, and then the knob on the end of the cap turns from high to low intensity vibrations. I found that it was decently loud, and the bullet is huge so that could be why. I have not completely submerged it for a long period of time, but I've dropped it in the sink while cleaning, and played with it in the shower. It seems to hold up well to water and the seal on the bottom is a pretty tight seal.

It requires 2 AA batteries which could also attribute to lack in power.

Overall it's a great toy, and it's my first double penetration toy. So I really do like it, but I feel there was some things that could be better. Stronger vibrations and a variety of pulsing patterns would've helped this toy.

This is not a high maintenance toy. It is made of TPR, which is easily cleaned with a mild antibacterial soap and water. TPR is compatible with silicone lubricant and water lubricant, I do believe the packaging only mentions water lube though. Either one will work well, I use Maximus water lube with it and I had no problem. It's super porous so that's nice, when it comes to cleaning. This is also a waterproof toy, so you can submerge it when cleaning and it won't hurt the toy.

It comes in a plastic package, similar to most vibrators. It's not discreet, and you can see the toy in it. There's not a ton of information ON the package, but when you open it up, there is an instruction booklet inside that details putting batteries in and how you should use it. Not that it's really all that much of a difficult toy to figure out. I store the toy in this package, but it's not a real bad lint grabber at all, so you could store it elsewhere. The package *is* rather large and may take up too much room for you to store in. However, I use a chest drawer for all my toys so it doesn't matter how big the packaging is, I keep all my dildos in their packaging usually.

I've absolutely adored this toy since I opened it. I use a pocket rocket with it though because I'm a huge fan of clitoral stimulation. I don't fault the toy for that, but I will remain on the lookout for a DP vibe that has stronger vibrations and actual pattern options. This will remain a staple in my toy box though, I can already tell.
