Use

The Pocket Vibe Extra is a waterproof and longer version of the basic pocket rockets. This vibe is perfect for shower and tub play, women who need stronger vibrations and as a go to for those times you get a bit numb and need that little 'extra'. I love the strength and the deep vibrations, especially when I am working on my fourth (and more) orgasm. I have a tendency to numb up a bit and the release when it happens is absolutely mind blowing. I was going to make this one a dedicated tub toy, but decided it had better purposes.

My husband loves getting back massages with this pink bad girl and I love the neck massages! The vibrations are too strong for his preferences during foreplay, so she is my personal toy. She works great for solos, clitoral stimulation during penetration and tub time!

Material / Texture

The Pocket Rocket Extra is pink, see-through plastic that is very smooth and hard. There are three metal balls on the tip which conduct the vibrations very well. You do get four extra tips to add to your rocket. One is a smooth half circle (my favorite), there are two textured, nubby ones that are unpleasant feeling and the other one has half circles like the original tip. These are hard plastic as well.

Plastic is semi porous, so no sharing!! This toy is not condom friendly, however you could try doubling them up. There was a slight plastic aroma upon opening that went away after the first washing. There is no taste to the material at all.

Design / Shape / Size

This is an extended pocket rocket. It is 5 3/4" long and 3/4" diameter. Basic rockets are about 4" long. This allows for easier use and arm positioning during use. I liked it for the ability to use it during penetration.

This is a noisy little rocket! I would definitely have a background noise, the door shut and use it under the covers if there is anyone else home with you. Otherwise they are going to wonder what that noise is coming from your bedroom. The water in the tub did help quiet this down, just do not let it touch the porcelain!!

I would think this would be a great travel toy, it is fairly discreet and can easily be hidden in a make up case.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrator takes 2 AA batteries that is in the handle. Twist the bottom part of the handle off, put the batteries in and screw it back on. You are now ready for use. The vibrations are located in the tip and are seriously strong. There is only one level of vibration. It is easy to use and user friendly, however make sure you need powerful and deep vibrations prior to purchasing this toy.

The price is definitely right for any budget!! I wish there was a multiple speed option and that the turning off was fixed, however, this is a good item for water play or for those numbing moments.

Care and Maintenance

Since the Pocket Vibe Extra is waterproof, clean up is very simple and quick. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment and wash in warm, soapy water. I use a baby toothbrush to go over the metal balls on the tip to make sure all the residue is removed. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Go back over it with toy cleaner or rubbing alcohol to sanitize the egg and store.

Since this is made of hard plastic, it is compatible with water, oil and silicone lubes. It is also compatible with most other toy compounds, but if you have silicone or jelly toys, please store this separately. The softer compounds can melt and 'absorb' other toys making a huge mess and destroying safe products.

I store the Pocket Vibe Extra in a zip lock baggie to keep it fresh and clean and store it in my toy box. It is also safe in a make up bag or pouch for discretion.

Personal comments

The added length made this a great option for use during penetration. There seems to be a bit of a glitch in the controls, it does turn off for no reason, but removing and replacing the base should fix this problem. I noticed that the long metal connector rod sometimes gets out of wack and doesn't make contact, so when you replace the base, make sure everything connects properly.

I really like the waterproof feature. Just make sure your rubber o-ring is in place before you shower with this long pocket rocket. I think this could be a good and inexpensive item for your collection, just make sure you have the connectors lined up!!

    • I tried one, and they actually don't hurt - not even the spiky attachments. Though to be fair it might not be the same for someone more sensitive. The reason I didn't like it had more to do with the way the battery compartment tended to pop open too easily, and that probably doesn't happen with all of them. It wasn't an especially thrilling toy, but if it had been a little better constructed I probably would have kept it.

      I know a LOT of people that like them. I personally wouldn't because I'm not the biggest fan of clitoral stimulation, but I also am not too big on pointy toys. Most come with different heads, though, and there are quite a few people that swear by them.
