What a Hot Kitty
This toy is worth it if you are dying to have a cute toy. It does have some drawbacks, especially the overheating, but it is a nice little toy. It's strong, easy to take care of and small enough to be able to carry around easily.Published: October 22, 2011

Use
The Bzzz Buddies line is quite possibly the cutest line of vibrators I have ever seen. I have Frisky, a cute little pink kitty cat. It almost looks like it's a children's toy, so be careful to keep it somewhere that your kids don't get to it. The Bzzz buddies are pocket rocket style and are very compact. It is great for external stimulation all over the body, but should not be used internally. I think it is a great choice for those who really like cute toys or perhaps someone looking for a gag gift.
Material / Texture
The Bzzz Buddies are made from plastic and are phthalate-free. There is no smell or taste to the toy. Plastic is not sterilizable, so keep that in mind if you were ever planning to share your toy and only share it with those that you wish to be fluid bound to. Plastic is compatible with all types of lube and there shouldn't be any reactions from your toy.
There are 4 caps which each have a different texture to them. Each one can give you a different feel or type of stimulation. Two of them had points that I thought felt pretty sharp and uncomfortable. There was also a smooth rounded one which was my favorite but had no noticeable texture. The fourth one had flat circles which weren't painful, but didn't really do a whole lot for me.

Design / Shape / Size
I liked the design, Mine has a kitty cat on top, but there are other choices in characters as well. It runs on a single AA battery and is completely waterproof. I've run it under water several times and no water has leaked inside yet. It's not a very large toy. It is a little under 6" long and maybe about an inch in diameter. Its size makes it easy to hide away in a purse or drawer. This size makes it a great toy for beginners to use and is a good toy for those who may be intimidated by using toys.

Functions / Performance / Controls
There is only one speed on this vibrator. Fortunately, at least for me, it was the right speed. The vibrations were pretty strong, but were also buzzy. The vibrations were located in the tip of the toy, but do travel thoughout the toy.
The toy tends to get hot after about 10 minutes or so of use. This obviously causes some concern. Using the toy for too long might cause it to break, or cause some skin damage. If you are using this toy, be sure to turn it off as soon as it starts to get warm.
The controls are really easy, especially since there is only one setting. Just turn it one direction to turn it on and the other to turn it off or to open the battery compartment.

Packaging
The Bzzz Buddies have some of the cutest packaging I have ever seen. It comes in a plastic box with a sweet little story on the pack and pictures of the other animals in the line. Here's a picture so you can see the story for Frisky's story. I assume each one has a different story.
The box can be used for storage but it is a bit bulky for that, so if you think the box is too cute to throw away or recycle, you could easily keep it in there. It is a good idea to keep your Bzzz Buddy in some sort of storage because it is easy to lose the caps if everything is not kept together.

Overheating Bzzz buddies

Do the metal balls ever overheat and hurt during use? I was curious cause I think they are so cute, but a burning clit however is not cute :(

My panda buzz buddy gets pretty hot after about 15 minutes, which is why I just use it for a warm up toy. I think the heat *does* hurt.

Widgets and options such as color choices

I'd like to use a widget of the BzzzBuddies in my blog, but the system won't let me save more than one of the same item to my desktop. I've run into this problem before when attempting to choose specific colors of products for widgets.
Is there a way to do this which I am overlooking, or is this simply not possible?

Right now there does not seem to be a way to add more than one style or color of the same product to a widget. I completely understand that this feature would be desirable and useful, especially if you want to talk about a specific version of a toy or if you want to compare versions.
I'll look into this issue more and update this thread if/when new options are available. -

Hi! One thing about the BzzzBuddies that's certain -- they sure get people buzzzing (sorry, couldn't resist). We at TME understand the toy isn't for everyone, and that's a-okay. Nothing ever is though, is it? And that's what's so awesome about human sexuality :) We've had an enthusiastic reception at trade shows and in adult stores, mainstream stores, etc and yes, have heard from those who didn't get it or didn't find the toys their thing. Those who like this generally gravitate to all things cute, colorful and playful (like I do) and they're especially popular with the anime / kawaii crowd. Many of us like to have crazy-fun-time in the bedroom -- think pony tails and bobby socks! But we've found that our fans so far are much more than that: Bachlorettes, newcomers to toys, those who love to role-play, and those who want to give an ice breaker gift with a playful edge have all shown their love for the BzzzBuddies.
Thanks for the honest feedback! This is why we love the Edenfantasys community. I'm definitely keeping track of all suggestions and comments so that we can keep it in mind for all the fun stuff we have planned for the future.
P.S. The tips we chose because they're standard for introductory rockets and provide texture that many body massage enthusiasts go for (such as a light, vibrating scratch up and down the back -- it sends an exhilirating chill, I guarantee you, especially with warming massage oils!), but you all have provided inspiration for other tips that we can introduce in the future that would be fun for more sensitive areas. Until then, the rounded tip and nub-dot tip are my personal favorites for when the fun massage gets serious ;)

Fantastic review! Only one setting?! For $23 I'd be expecting more than one setting. Lol. I love that you included so many useful details and photos. I love being able to see the toy in, for some reason it's always far more helpful than viewing it on the product page. Anyways, I did wonder about the vibes with these cap-like things. I've wondered if the little nubs really made much of a difference. You're review was just awesome! Cute toy and good idea noting to keep it out of reach of the children. It actually looks SO much like a child's toy. I probably wouldn't even know the difference if I happen to see it in someone's house. Lol. Great job!

@kendra: yeah I bought it when it was on sale for $15. I thought it was a good deal for that price, but I think if I had to pay $23 or the full $29 I would've been a little bit dissapointed in what I was getting.
I don't have kids so I don't need to worry, but I know it looks similar to some pens that I had when I was a kid so I wouldn't want a kid thinking it was a toy for them to use lol
