Who Says It Takes Two?

Though I've listed a number of the Tango III's cons, I still would give this toy five stars. The deliciously deep rumbly vibrations, 100% silicone (10/10 safety), and extremely flexibility make this a worthwhile purchase for both new and experienced users.

Use

This is a gorgeous, quality rabbit-style vibrator. It is not realistic in shape at all, being more abstract in appearance than anything else. I chose the blue and it is a lovely deep warm-toned color, a smidge more teal than navy, and very even and solid. The silicone is plushy and almost spongey to the touch. There is quite a lot of drag to it. I use it for both internal and external stimulation, because I love the deep rumbly vibrations. It is slightly stronger and louder than my other Fun Factory toy, the Ellove, possibly because the toy is less girthy. Due to the large petal-shaped clitoral attachment, the instruction manual indicates that this toy can be used anally. The motor is in the base of the toy but radiates well through it, through both the tip and clitoral attachment. I mentioned in my Ellove review that the depth and rumble of the vibrations are enough to radiate through my hips, and this is true for the Tango III as well. Because it is waterproof, you can really use it anywhere, bed or shower.

Material / Texture

The silicone of the Tango III is velvety soft, which is lovely to touch but does provide substantial drag. So much so that even using lubricant did not make this toy truly slick. It has a very faint silicone smell to it, but nothing offensive, and not at all detectable unless the toy is right under your nose. The design ridges on the sides of the toy can be a bit uncomfortable.

Design / Shape / Size

I wanted a rabbit with modest girth and quite a bit of flexibility, and the Tango III seemed to fit my criteria perfectly. It does have substantial length. I found the girth to be uncomfortable for me unless I was fairly warmed up, because it does have ridges along the sides. Because of those, this may not be the best toy for those who are new to toys or prefer something slim.

It is a very sturdy toy so I think it would travel well, although it is not at all discreet.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls for the Tango III are the same as those for the Ellove. The batteries are the same 4 AAA and are a bit confusing to insert at first, but there are small hard-to-see images on the inside in case you need help. There are five settings of constant vibrations in increasing escalation, followed by three pulsation patterns that increase in speed and intensity. After reaching the fifth and highest vibration speed, you must hold down the (+) button for a second to activate the patterns. Holding down the (-) button will bring the vibrations back to level 1, and pressing it a second time will turn the toy off. The Tango III also has a "turbo boost" button at the very end of the controls, and pressing this will cause a jolt of strong vibrations to move through the toy. There is no way to set it to that strength-- the button will have to be held down to maintain the intensity. Personally I like to use the turbo boost only in very short bursts, so this feature does not bother me.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is 100% silicone and is waterproof, so cleanup is very easy. I wash mine with soap and water or wipe it down with a toy wipe. Due to its incredible lint collecting abilities, I have to wash mine before as well as after use. I keep it in a large organza bag for storage just so it won't get in contact with any other silicone toys. Because it is silicone, care must be exercised that it does not touch other silicone toys or silicone lubricant.

Personal comments

I'm not sure why the prices are so different between the red Tango III and the other colors, but I'd been looking for a dark blue toy and was pleased to find this one from Fun Factory. It's got substantial weight to it, and the look is very artistic. In practice I found the ridges on the side to be a bit uncomfortable, but nothing that would put me off using it again.
