In history "Little Su" was a famous courtesan and Chinese poet by the real name of Su Xiaoxiao during the Southern Qi Dynasty ( 479-502). She was known for being beautiful and intelligence. As a sex toy, the Little Su Tulip is an innovative, cleverly designed, and adorable vibrator. While it isn't the best orgasm toy by itself, used in other ways and in combination with other things, the Little Su Tulip becomes an amazing tool to add to your already arousing sex lives. Tulip will bloom for anyone! It can be used by solo women, lesbian couples, hetero couples, and probably even male solo play. It is designed for vaginal insertion and simultaneous clitoral stimulation with one moderate speed, but it is possible to use anally as well. The beautiful Tulip can be an excellent gift for pretty much anyone. Even if you usually require a power house of vibrations, I still would urge you to not stop and smell this flower!

The Little Su is made of a certified, 100% non-porous silicone. It is non toxic and free of harmful chemicals. It is also tasteless and odorless. However, it does seem to pick up smells from the foam packaging. A quick rinse with soap or use of a toy spray fixes this. This silicone is seriously phenomenal! It is smooth, silky, and somewhat velvety too. The silicone on this toy is a coating, but it thicker than most toys I have had with this design. It is thick enough that there is still a decent amount of give so that the toy does not feel overly firm. Parts of the toy are even pretty flexible, like the top inch and the clitoral arm. The surface feels great when used with even the slightest amount of lubricant.

Do not let the moderately small size of the Tulip deter you from testing her out. She is 5 1/2" long and about 4 1/4" of insertable length. The main part is like a bright red torpedo. The thickest part of the shaft is 4 1/2" in circumference which may not be thick enough for some women. There is a unique tiered textured that is produced by the artistic tulip design. The tiers are the illusion of layered petals laying flat against each other. Almost at the very base of a toy, a flat, folded down petal houses a separate motor for the clitoral stimulator. It is 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide which makes it able to cover a lot of potential clitoral territory. It is soft enough to not be uncomfortable in any way that I used it.

The base is interesting to say the least. On either side of the base of the main shaft are two half circles. if you press both of them at the same time the bottom will pop off. This seems to get easier to do with time. Do it carefully though since the silicone can rip. Two AAA batteries slid in and the cap can go back on. The cap also has the single push button on the end of it. Depending on how you are using this toy, the location of the button can be a bit inconvenient.

The design and shape is suitable for many, if not most women. It is also semi-discreet as a sex toy because it doesn't look traditional. But as an item that might draw attention regardless, you might want to keep it hidden. This toy is not waterproof so do take it for any swims.

Unfortunately, the Tulip has a weak spot-the vibration. It's moderate and a one speed. For a toy of this price, I at least expect three steady vibrations. It would be nice to have patterns too. The toy is moderately loud but quieter in the body. The vibrations can be felt throughout the whole toy but they are strongest in the top half of the shaft and in the entire clitoral attachment. It is moderately loud meaning it probably won't be heard through a door and under covers.

So what ways can you use this lovely flower?

1. SOLO: The obvious way to use this is to insert it vaginally and align the clitoral petal correctly. Watch out though! If you tighten your kegel muscles and are not holding on, you may have a shooting torpedo on your hands! You can flip it around to tease the anal area. It might be used anally, but I did not try it this way.

2. WITH ANOTHER WOMAN: While wearing the Tulip, you can trib with a female partner or grind against her sharing the clitoral petal. This works best if the person on top is wearing the Tulip.

3. WITH A MAN: Keeping you hands free to explore your partner, you can wear the Tulip and rub against his thigh, crotch, or hand. It is probably too large to be worn for dual penetration vaginally.

4. WITH ANOTHER DILDO: You can wear the Tulip under a harness!

Remove the batteries and use warm water and some mild soap. Make sure to be careful of the battery compartment. Store it in the packaging after it dries. Remember to only use non-silicone lubricant.

The packaging is awesome! It is somewhat similar to the Close 2 You packaging in that it looks like a book when it is closed and on a shelf. It you open the book looking package there actually is pages of text that still make it look like a book until you get past them to the thick foam backing. The pages explain the different ways to use the toy, care, cleaning, and more explanations in different languages. The Tulip is nicely nestled in a perfect shaped cutout of black foam. From the side it is really discreet. The front and back do have sexual language, but that don't draw attention with naked pictures or anything. The entire package is very sturdy and great for storage.

1. SOLO: I found that the vibrations were not strong enough to have a fast orgasm or one that doesn't require other touching e.g. nipples. I really enjoyed the orgasms though. I sometimes lose the intensity of my orgasm if the vibrations are too strong. These are perfect at the time of orgasm and can be turned off quickly if needed. I really enjoyed using it while laying down on my stomach and using pressure from a pillow. It is great to use with a moderate or small sized anal toy too. It offered me no g-spot stimulation though.

2. WITH ANOTHER WOMAN: Maybe I'll try this in another life time, but didn't for this review. However, from my other experiments, I can tell that this would work pretty well.

3. WITH A MAN: We had a lot of fun while I gave my partner a one leg lap dance! Sometimes the button gets pushed accidentally, but other than that, there were no problems. There are probably more possibilities to use this with another woman.

4. IN A HARNESS: I didn't use it in action, but I did try it out with my Princess harness and the comfort was almost unpredictable. It felt like part of the harness and didn't feel uncomfortable at all. It basically turns any strap on dildo and harness into a double.

The Tulip is a really interesting toy that I totally appreciate for its versatility. I just wish that it had stronger vibrations and some patterns. The battery compartment/button location is also a bit inconvenient at times. This is why it has earned 4 stars. A high 4 though!
