Evolved's Love Handle is a dual-stimulator intended for vaginal and clitoral pleasure at the same time. While you could use it for anal and perineum simultaneous stimulation, the company makes a similarly-designed vibrator for just that purpose. There are no bells and whistles but the ease of use and waterproof capabilities ensure the Love Handle will work in a variety of situations and for users of all abilities.

The Love Handle is made of extremely rigid plastic with a treatment that results in a velvet texture. This material is relatively non-porous and contains no body-unfriendly chemicals. The toy had no smell when I removed it from its package but plastic can retain scents even after a thorough washing. Thus, you'll want to clean it right away and consider a 10% bleach solution.

Because this plastic is so rigid, you can achieve thorough G-spot stimulation; however, if you prefer indirect stimulation (from sheer size) or softer materials, the Love Handle is not your toy. This is also true for the external portion, which retains the same hardness.

The velvety texture - although felt by the hand - isn't discernible after insertion and especially when combined with lube. There is no additional texture on the external portion of the toy.

The Love Handle is roughly "L" shaped, with the insertable portion being the vertical part of the letter and the external portion being the bottom. They meet as a slightly-larger-than 40 degree angle. The insertable portion is rather narrow (around .5" at the thinnest); it widens to a bump just above the vertex and there is an enlarged (to approximately 1" at its widest) head at the tip of the toy. The bulbous head angles forward at a gentle angle for G-spot stimulation. You can insert up to 5" with this toy but because of the rigidity, this may feel too intense for some.

Because it's so narrow, this really is ideal for those who prefer smaller toys or who are just experimenting. Size queens should look elsewhere.

The external part of the Love Handle is slightly wider (1.5") but shorter (3.75"). It gently arcs toward the body (clitoris) and then back again. It is at the end of this arc where the single control button is located as well as the battery compartment.

If you have larger labia, you may find this design misses the mark but a more protruding clit will likely be able to take advantage of the design and because it doesn't move away from the body, like some dual stimulators, it should accommodate clitorises that are closer or further from the vaginal entrance.

At the vertex of the Love Handle there is a little nub that you may use to rock, thrust or otherwise manipulate the toy. However, because it is so rigid, this toy is not for everyone. If you tend to keep your hand on the controls, then you won't find the nub to be extremely useful either. Movement intended for the insertable part will reflect externally and vice versa. Although there is some leeway, you may not find that you can line up both portions perfectly, especially if you like pressure as this tends to push the shaft away from the G-spot.

The underside of the external portion has some slight ridging that you could potentially use for traction if you rest this toy on a surface, perhaps a pillow. However, your hands are probably your best bet here.

The Love Handle is powered by 2AAA batteries, resulting in a high-pitched, surface level vibration. The vibrations are focused at the head of the insertable shaft and become weaker as they progress through the rest of this toy. This effect is especially noticeable during insertion as the human body absorbs the vibrations. If you are looking for a toy with strong internal and external vibrations, the Love Handle is not for you.

This toy uses a single push button control that is made of a softer material and extends far enough from the plastic that you can easily find it, even in the dark. It boasts three modes of steady vibration, which become even buzzier as you turn them up. On the highest level, the Love Handle seems to be struggling and almost shakes in effort.

These settings are followed by several patterns. The patterns are all quite similar and most consist of one or more short vibrations followed by a longer vibration. The variations simple make the pulses longer or shorter or add a few to the line-up in a way that doesn't offer too much variety or intensity (because of the power source). There is no escalation to be found.

When you cycle through all the settings, you are brought back to the lowest steady vibration. To turn off the Love Handle, you must hold for several seconds so this toy isn't convenient if you're worried you may need to stop play time right now!

Noise-wise, the Love Handle falls on the quieter scale but it does seem awfully loud for its output. For example, Lelo's Siri is stronger but quieter. Still a blanket should take care of the issue and you don't have to worry about it being heard through a locked door or over the shower.

The properties state this toy is waterproof but you shouldn't submerge it as the tiny O-ring doesn't prevent water from entering the battery compartment even if you're just washing it. For that reason, you should also take care when washing with soap and water. A toy wipe may be a better option.

Furthermore, the battery compartment can be tricky to remove because you must grasp it at either side and pull it right off. The button seems to be in the way for this and the velvety texture causes your hand to slip right off. You may prefer to simply turn it on, while using the button for leverage, but this doesn't seem like a good idea for the toy.

As mentioned, the waterproof abilities of this toy are dubious so consider it splashproof. Wash with a toy wipe or spray if you can. Otherwise, soap and water will do fine but you should check the battery compartment after cleaning.

The velvety plastic will not react with other materials nor does it pick up lint but it can retain smells because it is slightly porous. Because of its porosity, I would not swap it with others unless you are fluid bonded and never use it for both anal and vaginal stimulation.

Evolved has already crafted unique packaging and this is the case with the Love Handle. It sits in a dome-like plastic container and you can access it after removing the bottom tray. However, because the Love Handle is so small, the packaging takes up much more room than necessary and you may find yourself simply tossing it rather than using it for storage. There is a loop as the top that could potentially be used for hanging or even to attach a bow if you wanted to gift the Love Handle to someone.. but a box would look nicer. A storage pouch would be an ideal solution.
