Wishful Thinking with Vivid Dreams’ Savanna

Had a little more attention been placed on the ridges of the vibrator's corkscrew design, Savanna would be a great vibe. As it is, it can't compete with better models, just in the Vivid Dreams line alone.
Published:
Pros
Flexible, waterproof, great multi-speed vibes, one handed thumb control.
Cons
Sub par corkscrew design, PVC smell, lube.

useful review
Having previously raved in review of the Briana model in the Vivid Dreams line of Vivid Toys from Doc Johnson, Savanna had a lot to live up to. It has the look of a sure winner in its six inch long and two inch thick pretty pink PVC composition. Like others in the Vivid Dreams line, the Savanna is thankfully waterproof, and uses a very clever one-handed thumb wheel at the base's side to control the multi speed vibrations while in use, and has a sleek, almost organic quality. What sets the Savanna apart from others in the vibrator line is its long, winding corkscrew rib stretching from one inch from the base to tip, leaving each ridge about one inch apart from the previous. Instantly, an experienced vibrator user has some G-spot stimulating aspirations when first picking Savanna out of the box.

However, it is this corkscrew design that turns out to be the biggest flaw in the design. The ridges are short, not rising more than an eighth of an inch from the shaft, and so pliable that they can easily be pressed down flat. The vibrator itself is supple enough to easily maneuver for G-spot stimulation, but with the ridges smashing down flat, all there is to do the stimulation is the ultra-supple PVC material. For vibrator veterans who undoubtedly already have sufficient toys that get the job done, Savanna is almost a snore. Even with the one-handed access and powerful vibes, you always think of what could have been. Had the ridges been thicker and more prominent, it would have indeed provided some pretty wicked, vivid dreams and Savanna just might have taken top status in your toy box. As it is, it’s satisfactory, just not phenomenal.

For this reason, I would recommend this to be a good transition toy for beginner vibrator users looking to expand their toy collections. Savanna is thick and substantial with great vibrations, and feels good for that reason alone. For the experienced, though, Savanna could be considered second-rate when used alone, with just your own two hot little hands. Personally, my Big Bad Wolf makes every vibrator in the toy box a back-arching winner even after I've written it off as a dud, so the true test of a toy is if the sparks the fly, or don't, when used on solo runs. I'm sure, though, that even if you have that partner with a black belt in vibrator-wielding to assist with Vivid Dreams Savanna from Doc Johnson, you'll always look at it and wonder what might have been.

Nice review. I'm sorry that this didn't work out for you. For some reason though it reminds me of "The Tush Trainer".Pink with a swirl design that doesn't quite work.

Did the ridges pose any problems when cleaning? Thanks for the review.

Hi Oggins....since the toy is waterproof, it is a cinch to clean. The ridges aren't that prominent, so cleaning is no problem at all.
