Harmony yang - bullet discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Silverwinds

The Harmony Yang bullet vibrator by Doc Johnson is a toy meant for external stimulation. When inserted vaginally, the vibrations are completely lost, so in this instance, I'd stick to the intended use. This toy should NOT under any circumstances be inserted anally, as it would get sucked in and cause an embarrassing hospital visit, guaranteed.

The Yang is made of plastic, which ranks a solid 8 on the EdenFantasys safety scale. Plastic is non-porous, making this toy shareable as it does not retain bacteria. It's very smooth, and when lubed up, glides like silk. You can use any lube with this bullet without fear of it degrading. Because it has a motor in it, you can't boil this toy, but warm soap and water or a toy cleaner would work just fine. Since it's plastic, the Yang doesn't have a scent or taste. It would be the same as licking your tv remote.

The Yang comes in a beautiful monochromatic plastic box. The bullet is clearly visible, sitting in a plastic tray along with the carrying case. It's small enough to use for storage if you aren't satisfied with just the carrying case. I wouldn't leave this on the bedside table if you're not open about your toys because the box says words such as "erotic" and "discreet multi-speed massager", as well as showing the toy very clearly, but that's what the carrying case is for!











The carrying case is the best feature the Harmony Yang (and Yin) has to offer. It's the perfect size to fit not only this bullet, but other bullets like the We-vibe Tango and Salsa! I wish the carrying case was available for separate purchase, because I would buy dozens of them!



Yang really is a cute little bullet. It's stark white, as opposed to its counterpart, the Yin, which is black. It's shaped kind of like a slim hourglass, making it ergonomic and easy to hold when lubed up. Yang only has 3 functions: low, medium, high. The controls are as simple as can be. Just a push button at the bottom of the toy that cycles through the different functions. Press once to turn it on to the lowest setting, and then you cycle through the other two to turn it off. The bottom screws off the reveal the o-ring that makes the toy waterproof, and the battery compartment. The Harmony Yang takes 1 AAA battery to operate. The battery must be inserted into a small case that shows which way the battery goes in.









The vibrations are unfortunately where this toy loses its stars. They are relatively strong but buzzy, and as soon as you apply pressure, the vibrations are lost. You still feel some buzz, but not nearly enough to get off on. The lowest setting is about 2 vrooms and the highest setting 3. I found that the best use for this bullet is for teasing the labia or the scrotum.

I won the Yang during the St. Patty's day party. After waiting and waiting for my pack to get here, it finally arrived. I wish I could say I was blown away by the Yang's performance, but sadly I just wasn't. This toy has so much going right for it: the carrying case, the simplistic design, plus being waterproof. When I first put the batteries in, I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of the little thing, but quickly learned of its major flaw. Unfortunately, its vibrations don't hold up under pressure, and this is its downfall. The Yang works great for teasing your partner, but you're going to need another toy to finish with. If you're looking for a bullet, I would honestly suggest looking elsewhere. Sorry Yang!

This bullet just can't hold up under pressure. I've since gotten a much better bullet, and this one is collecting dust at the bottom of my toy box. Harmony Yang just isn't worth the money.
