Since it's small, it works well during sex for a little added stimulation. It's also a non-intimating toy, so it's great to incorporate foreplay or for beginners.

The Pendant Vibe is is made from a hard plastic with a metallic finish. I was a little disappointed with the fact that it was plastic. The surface of the vibe has a raised pirate-esque design. Without looking closely it's hard to tell what it is. The raised pattern on the plastic just looks a little silly to me and dull almost, like costume jewelry. Here is a close up I took of the design. The design just isn't that recognizable to me. It just doesn't look as crisp and pirate-y as it could if it were metal. It would make it a more expensive product, but I think it would be worth the increased cost. As it is now it looks a little awkward and I’m not girly or fashionable, but I can’t think of what I’d wear this with besides a Halloween costume.

The pedant is about 2 1/4? in length and less than 1? wide. The overall shape of the bullet is fairly unique and allows for a broad surface stimulation or a pinpoint stimulation from the end point of the bullet.

The pendant is on a standard ball-chain necklace which measures to 26?. I have a large neck and this was very long and came down to way to far between my breasts. If I tucked it into my shirt it was mushed between my boobs and just felt awkward and uncomfortable. This type of chain is really easy to cut to make shorter or you could just put it on a different nicer looking chain if you wanted to.

The Pirates Vibe is a little strong for me to start off with, but I'm pretty sensitive. It has five settings as well. The first two are solid vibration, a low and a high, while the last 3 are patterns. One is a throbbing pulsation, another a quick pulsation, while the last is basically “quick quick LOOONG”. It is a fairly strong toy, not the strongest I have felt, but I think it is strong enough to work well for most people, at least to get you worked up for more. To cycle through the patterns you push the button on the top of the vibe where it's attached to the necklace.

It is also very quiet. I think it would be quiet enough to use in a bathroom stall if you wanted, because it would be muffled by your body. The only thing that makes noise is the ring that attaches it to the necklace; it can rattle sometimes if it’s not held down. That can be solved by taking it off the ring if you don't plan to wear it.

The vibe is also splash proof and does have the rubber o-ring. I did notice that it doesn't seem to close all the way tight though, so I wouldn't recommend submerging it.


Aside from that it takes 3 watch batteries which came with it. The only problem I found is when I used it for a long time it would just turn off and not stay on for more than a few seconds. I thought it was the batteries at first, which sucked cause I’d only used it for 15 minutes or so. However, when I tried it the next day it was back to full power, though again in about 15-20 minutes it stopped again. So I’m not sure what’s going on with that, it’s kinda weird.

The pendant doesn't quite close tight where the rubber o-ring is so I would suggestion wiping the inside edge after use. Cleaning is pretty easy, simply wash with soap and water or toy cleaner.

As far as lubes, since this is plastic you can use it with any type of lube. It's also very easy to store, since it's small. Tuck it in a drawer or in your jewelry box for safe keeping.

This isn't the first bullet necklace I've owned. The other was simply a bullet on a chain. The Pirates Pendant Vibe is much more unique and discrete.
