Does it get any more innocent looking than this?! I love trying toys that don't actually look like something I would normally choose. I am often pleasantly surprised time after time and the Baby Bug is one of those awesome surprises. The reason the Baby Bug isn't something I normally would have at the top of my wish list is because I am usually not too keen on animal shapes. But this guy is just too damn cute! The design isn't just for looks though, it is ingenious really. The bulbs of the caterpillars body and the nubs of his feet feel awesome inside and out. This vibrator is smaller in length than most that I have, so if you like length this might not be best for you, but the width and bulbs are great. The multi-speeds are delightful and brought me to powerful orgasms time after time. I have to recommend that every woman take this bug to bed. He has something for pretty much anyone.

The Baby Bug from Fun Factory is mostly made of their amazing silicone and a little bit pf textured plastic. The silicone is cured in Europe and is phthalate free, hypo-allergenic, and non-porous. It is very smooth with minimal drag and has no taste or smell. The silicone is firm but yet somewhat plush when pressure is applied. It also bends slightly. The rest of the toy is made of a hard plastic for the base and battery compartment. It is covered in nice textured stippling which makes it easier to hold if it gets lube on it.

Again, the design is ingenious because not only does it look super cute, but the caterpillars' body shape feels awesome as well. It is only 5" long and 4" of that is insertable so for those who like a lot of deep thrusting, this will likely not fulfill that. The body has four bulbs which are 4 1/2" around at the thickest circumference. The head has a smiling face. The top of the head is slightly thinner to help the you slide in easily. The front of the body also has two rows of feet in the shape of raised nubs. In between the bottom toy are two buttons that are underneath the silicone material. One for + and the other -. The bottom is rounded off with the fun Factory stamp and is a bit too short to held onto firmly.

The Baby Bug comes in two vibrant colors, green and red. I own the red one that has a beige bottom. If you have kids, this toy might get confused as part of your kids play things, but because of the shape it probably won't fool many if you don't. The size is pretty good for travel and would fit nicely in a large purse.

As an extension of design, I want to address the waterproof claim here. The battery compartment only turns 45 degrees to come off and then be turned and locked back into place. Unfortunately, they made the battery compartment about a millimeter too shallow because once the two AAA batteries are inserted the cap doesn't lock and is prone to untwisting and turning off the toy. Because of this, I don't trust it's waterproof claim and I highly suggest not using this toy in water even if your locks better than mine.

The Baby Bug is very easy to operate if you don't insert it for the full 4". If you insert further than 3", the buttons will be submerged in the vagina. To turn it on, you hold the plus button down for about 2 seconds.

1. The first vibration is steady and a very low flutter that is undetectable in noise level.

2. Low and steady-also very quiet

3. Small increase in steady speed-can not be heard across a room

4. This level is moderate and the first that could finish me. I was surprised by this since I still considered it fairly low. The vibrations are deep and not painfully buzzy which is probably the reason they are so lovely.

5. Increased to a higher than moderate steady vibration level. The noise is louder here and might be heard through a closed door if outside the body.

6. High steady and louder in noise, but still very quiet in the body

7. Very high and louder. This level of steady vibration could likely finish the majority of women

8. Highest of the steady vibrations. This level was a bit too much for me and would be great for those who need intense power.

Hold the plus button down for 2 seconds and it jumps you to the patterns

9. Pulsing that starts at level ~3 and goes quickly to ~7 before repeating

10. Same but faster

11. Same but even faster with no pauses at all

To clean, I would be careful of the battery compartment because of the problems I mentioned earlier. Because of the deep grooves it can be hard to clean so I suggest buying a soft bristled tooth brush to use with soap and water to get into the crevasses. When using the toy only use water based lubricants. Silicone will irreversibly ruin the material.

The package is slightly larger than the toy and is made of red and beige shiny cardboard. There is a window cut out to see the toy inside and on the outside there is magnetic flap that has a lot of information about the toy. The package seems to be used for a few similar sized toys, so it is not particularly specific to the Baby Bug but instead generally to the Mini Vibes line. Inside the package is an instruction pamphlet that is very helpful and also a sample of Toy Fluid lubricant that works wonderfully with the toy. The package is great for storage but because of the window, isn't as discreet as it could be.

I absolutely loved the pulsing! I used this toy at least half a dozen times before this review and it brought me to orgasm 100% of the time and quickly if I wanted it to. But the lower levels are also great for buildup. The body of the Baby Bug feels awesome going in and out slowly. The design isn't great for fast thrusting which I am totally fine with. I had to keep my hand on the end to make sure the cap didn't come off, which it would sometimes do and stop working. This killed the mood at first, but a piece of tape fixed that. it didn't pop off on the low levels, but if on the higher ones, the vibration would cause it to come out of the locked position. The body of the Baby bug works great externally also. This actually is my favorite unique part of the toy. The rows of nubby feet feel amazing being rubbed over my outer and inner labia as well as my clitoris.

I am giving this toy 4 stars because of the not so secure battery compartment and the fact that the buttons make it hard to use and insert past 3". The design is great otherwise however and this toy has become my favorite at the moment. When I am looking for a good, strong, and fairly quick orgasm, the Baby Bug is a great choice. I feel the Baby Bug would also be great for beginners since it is non intimidating, but because of the wide and strong range of vibrations and the external textured nubs, it has something for ever woman.
